What are possible meanings for dreams of chicken?
A chicken can symbolize fear, or lacking courage. If someone is chicken it means she’s afraid.
Symbolism can be created from the behavior of chickens and popular associations with them, such as pecking, preening, nesting, foraging, and fighting. The term “pecking order” derives from social hierarchy in chicken flocks, and human flocks have pecking orders, too.
Pecking can symbolize annoyance or irritation.
Preening can symbolize grooming. See: Mirror
Nesting can symbolize creating a safe, comfortable space for yourself—in your life, or inside yourself.
Foraging can symbolize searching, such as for a mate or a date, or scrounging for a buck.
Fighting is self-explanatory, but consider that a fight among chickens might be better described as a squabble. A dream uses the imagery deliberately to say the fight isn’t that bad. See: Fighting
The symbolism of chickens can connect with the fact that they lay eggs. See: Eggs
A chicken with its head cut off is the image of panic and mindless activity. See: Panic
Keep in mind that symbolism often shows in actions and other details, and that’s how you narrow down possibilities for the meaning. For example, if a dream shows a chicken but no egg and no nest, it’s unlikely to have anything to do with the symbolism of eggs or nests. Symbolism related to irritation will show in the act of pecking and how you react to it. Has someone been pecking at you? What irritates you?

Played cards with the devil
This was the most horrible and realistic dream I’ve had in my life.
To begin with, I can easily manipulate people and I’m also a really good liar. I don’t use these skills to hurt others but I can spot anyone trying to be manipulative or lie.
What I want to say is that I’ve never met anyone in my life who is better at this than me.
But this dream was horrifying. I was playing cards with the devil sitting by the tree. I couldn’t recognize any of the cards and the game, itself. The devil was a she. Blue one, with wings and a creepy smile. She had a gotie (beard) and magnificent hair.
We decided to play till any of us wins 3 times.
She won the first time. The weird thing is that she was manipulating me so easily that I couldn’t do anything. That level of manipulation was not real.
She was playing my hands and despite doing this, I still had the hope that I might win this.
I never showed her my cards but she knew exactly where Each of them were. When she was waiting me to answer her play, she was taking the ‘correct’ card from my hand without even looking.
Then, she gave me a creepy smile. It felt like she was looking right through me.
When she won the first round, my eyesight got blurry. Like, I couldn’t function properly. I felt sleepy.
We were also talking about life and it’s meaning. I was trying to seem smart and interesting but she was the one stealing the show.
I can’t remember what we talked about but it left a deep feeling in me.
When the second round began, she was letting me win so that I don’t chicken out and leave the game. Without a doubt, she won the second one.
By the time the third round was about to start, my eyesight was almost gone. I could barely see and think. It felt like I was under drugs.
When I got my cards, it was the best hand possible. I was sure I was gonna win.
Then, I saw the evil smile of hers. I was trying to say words, ‘I can no longer play, I can’t see anymore. You’re not playing fair’.
She was insisting I should continue but didn’t touch my cards. She looked desperate. I managed to put my cards down and tried to stand up and fell from the chair and went into the oblivion.
I woke up suddenly and felt like I was suffocating. I had the worst feeling of helplessness. I then tried to calm down and listened to ‘Harold Budd - Madrigals of the Rose Angel’.
My first impression of this music was heavenly (before this dream). A different, magical world existing somewhere out of my reach, but knowing it’s truly there.
But now, it sounded like the pure definition of hell. The death of all life. Leaves falling down the tress, the sun dying and people disappearing. I was shivering in my bed and felt worthless.
Then I remembered my girlfriend was the one who sent me this song and it hit me that she’s the devil.
My whole relationship with her ran through my eyes and I was becoming more and more scared of her since I was realizing how she’s been manipulating me.
I almost cried. Psychologically, I’m a very strong person and it’s unusual for me to be like this.
I have a feeling that if I lost the third round, I’d be dead right now. I’ve never felt this close to death.
I’ve been in a horrible accident, and barely survived. I was bit by dog in my neck which I also barely survived but this dream was more intense. I’ve never been this helpless.
I wanted to scream but I held myself. I now woke up, feeling a bit better. I’m trying to process all of this. I want to believe that it’s my way of thinking and my girlfriend is not actually the devil.
She hasn’t really done anything to me. She’s just constantly sad and needs cheering up.
But the devil’s smile. I can see it even now. Looks like her’s.
This was the most horrible and realistic dream I’ve had in my life.
To begin with, I can easily manipulate people and I’m also a really good liar. I don’t use...

a dream from my dream diary #3
11/19/2019 2:26 AM - 2:43 AM
I had a dream where eating babies were normal. I was in a gym working out with my mom, I step outside for a minute, and I come back in to my mother crying on the floor. She told me, “at least someone got a chance to get rich, and notice the lady without a car outside!” I look over and she’s talking to some Mexican guy. He proposed that we start eating babies, and got rich off the idea.
The gym turns into a restaurant with some white family eating at this table, commenting on how good the baby tasted. It was so disturbing. I saw someone cut up a baby so easily with a knife. Like it’s a piece of cake. It started bleeding, and running down like water... I’m going crazy trying to stop people, but they think this shit is normal.
Babies being fried, and eating like chicken. I felt sick.
It was so crazy that I actually gain control over the dream, but couldn’t wake up like I normally do. I guess when you’re in a panic state, you can’t willingly wake up. Some white family was following me around the restaurant, trying to silence me. I was force to accept it, and only then I was about to wake up..
As of now writing this, I’ve been passing in and out of sleep. I’m tripping a little bit because of it, but I’ll try to get more sleep.
(Note: These are my own words. I don’t want to come off racist or prejudice. Thank you for understanding.)

What does a gory dream mean?
I had a very gory nightmare this morning. I never dream anything gory and I haven't watched any gore horror movies in years. I don't know where this is coming from, maybe you could help me.
It started out really chill. It was daytime, I was with a friend I hadn't seen in years and we were taking a walk in a big park, kinda like a hiking area, with trees and bushes all around us. There was a buffet, essentially in the middle of nowhere. Maybe this "intro" has some meaning too.
We strolled around and found a house. We went inside and looked around for a bit. Nothing unusual in there but suddenly my backpack came out of nowhere sliding along behind us. When we looked inside, there was a cooked chicken leg moving inside. I know it's so bizarre but maybe this has meaning too haha.
Then, in the same house, I wasn't dreaming from my own perspective anymore, but a like I was watching a movie but I was inside of it. There was a guy that I had seen in a unrelated, meaningless video at school. He just woke up and had blood on his hands. He was shocked and scared. There was a woman next to him, which I didn't see but I knew it was a woman and that something happened to her, resulting her death. Then it was revealed that that moment was a dream of this guy and he woke up again. This time there was a woman with her legs cut off. I could only see her belly and where her legs were cut off.
After that he kind of layed sideways on the bed and his brains started unrealistically spewing out of a hole in his head like a very long party snake. It wouldn't stop and slowly one of his eyes started drooping a little. I still have the image of it in my head. And the strange thing is, that after the initial shock of what is happening, he smiled, almost as if he was content. Then I woke up.
What's also strange is that the position of the bed and the door of the room where in the same setting as my bedroom. But the room was still in that house, the interior looked different from my room too.
I am veeery confused.

Met my boyfriend's grandmother?
Hey, so some backstory before I start? My boyfriend and I have been together about a year, and we live in different states. I've never been to visit him, so I've never seen his house or anything aside from photos. I know that his grandmother had cancer and raised him even while sick because of some family issues. I know that her passing was very traumatic for him, but that is all he has ever said. He doesn't talk about her at all because it is too painful. I've never seen a photo or heard any story at all with her in it, aside from a passing comment asking me to turn off the radio because of a song that was playing. I know nothing.
About a week or so before the dream I tried a meditation to do a past life regression and ended up meeting with my uncle who passed away about six years ago in a garden I had never seen. Since then I had been ideally thinking alot about that experience and how I could potentially replicate it, and if so who could I meet? I went through a long list of people I would want to meet and of course his grandmother's name was on the list.
The dream starts with him pulling into my neighbors driveway. The house is currently empty but my grandparents lived there previously. We greet each other and he asked if I was ready to meet his family. My face lit up and I agreed. We walked hand in hand to the backdoor of my grandparents house and somehow it opens up to their living room. I think I remember them sitting in their spots but we kind of walk past them and that's when things get weird. My grandparents had an open floor plan, you can see this kitchen from the living room, but as we walk into the kitchen it morphs into the house my uncle lived in. I see him sitting in his usual chair and some other people I didn't recognize on the couch. We walk into his dinning room which he used as a study instead and my boyfriend takes a seat in a chair there and nods to me. I walk into my uncle's kitchen and everything suddenly feels so vivid.
I remember weird details that happened in that kitchen. I remember the smell of the plants above the sink. He had this island dining table thing, and usually I always sat on the right side, but there were some older people there that I had never seen and didn't even speak to. Instead I turn to the left side which is closer to the door anyway and take a seat next to this beautiful woman. She was slim and had strong features, I don't remember what color her eyes were but I know they shimmered the same way my boyfriend's do. She had long silky black hair. I remember the smell of her perfume. She spoke before me, her voice had a bit of a toughness to it, but rang clear like a bell? Describing voices is hard so I'm not sure how accurate that is. She said to me "So, you're with my baby boy?" This is not his mother. I know and have talked alot with her and she was not even close. don't remember answering or much of the conversation that follows. I don't remember anyone cooking but there is chicken in some kind of orangey sauce. She is laughing at me and teasing me for being so picky and hesitant about eating it. Her laugh was beautiful, and I know that I've used that word alot but it was all that I could think. I was in awe of this woman. My boyfriend never entered the room, and as I was getting ready to leave she wrapped her arms around me in a hug, pulled back so her hand rested on my shoulder and said something like "Trust him, he knows what he wants." I remember crying, warm tears streaming across my cheeks and nodding. I left the room and as I joined hands with my boyfriend standing on the other side of the door I woke up.
Naturally I described this dream to my boyfriend, careful to keep my opinions about who I thought it could be out of the conversation. He didn't say anything at first so I pushed him a little more. He said that his grandmother called him her baby boy, and the description sounded like her, but alot not. I left it at that, and changed the subject so as to not upset him. I didn't tell him at all the last words I vividly remember her saying and they echo in my head. I'm not sure if the message was for me or if it was for him. I'm not sure that any of this was even anything more than a figment of my imagination.
Hey, so some backstory before I start? My boyfriend and I have been together about a year, and we live in different states. I've never been to visit him, so...

I had a dream last night that I killed my cat.
Does anybody know what this means?
I dreamt that I rubbed bleach into a piece of chicken and fed it to her. She was dying after that point and everyone ran up to her asking what happened and I responded with no empathy and said “I don’t know, looks like she’s dying” and walked away. I woke up with the same lack of empathy. Don’t get me wrong I love my cat but why am I dreaming this?
I suffer from BPD and I know lately I’ve been all over the place with my emotions and anger. Socially towards certain people….
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for your time!
