School dreams are very common. Among other things school dreams are very postively interconnected.

Do you think this is true for your dream of schools? How might your dream of schools be different?

All dreams have meaning

You can gain insight from thinking about any dream, no matter how strange. Only you, as the dreamer, have final say on what your dream may or may not mean. Each dream is unique.

Look for the differences

The DreamWell dictionary provides information on how each dream symbol appears in dreams in general. Finding how experience schools in dreams can be a key to understanding its meaning.

Return to the feelings

Our emotions in dreams can help us understand its meaning. Pay attention to how you felt in the dream. Pay attention to how you feel about schools in dreams. See how you feel about schools now, in your waking life.

What are possible meanings for dreams of schools?

A school setting in a dream has a wide variety of possibilities for symbolism. The most obvious are related to learning and knowledge, but school symbolism extends much further to include topics such as authority, success and failure, social life, and preparation for adult life and career.

Begin by noting whether the school is familiar or generic. A familiar school is more likely to represent something about that time of life or what you experienced there. If you’re in school it’s likely to be a frequent setting of your dreams. A generic school is more likely to relate to the general idea of school, authority, or learning. See: Campuses

Think expansively about what you learn. You can learn about yourself, another person, your limits, lessons in life, and new skills. Life is a continual process of taking in new information and experiences and learning.

School challenges you in a wide variety of ways. It’s not just about learning. It establishes patterns and perceptions—good and bad—that can last a lifetime. For example, a woman who was mercilessly bullied in high school dreams about being trapped by her tormentors in a bathroom stall at school and forced to perform oral sex. See: Revenge

If you are out of school, dreaming you are in a school you once attended can reference that time of your life. Some people think nostalgically about their school days—the “glory days.” Dreams about school days can be a nostalgic wish for a return to that time, though usually a dream has a larger purpose than just reminiscence. These dreams are a frequent theme in the lives of adults who wish they could go back and do things over, or whose adult lives lack fun and freedom. For example, see: Teacher.

Some people peak at a young age and can search for the rest of their lives to get back that magic.

Think about what you experienced during that time of your life, the decisions you made, your living conditions, the major events, as well as daily life, and especially the kind of person you were and what you wanted to be when you grew up. Compare and contrast with your life now to help lead you to the meaning of a dream about school.

Dreaming about being in a classroom can mean you are learning, either directly, such as when studying a subject, or indirectly, such as when learning about life or learning a new skill. See: Students

Extend the idea further to consider your experiences in, and impressions of, classrooms. If you were a kid who had difficulty staying focused, and sitting still in a classroom was torturous, compare that time with your life now. Is it torture sitting at a work desk all day, or enduring another meeting? Do you text-message all day, like passing notes in class? What’s the connection with your life now?

Had a dream when I was 10 with a girl I didn’t know in it. We’re dating now.

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible, I have ADHD and my stories turn into ramblings most of the time.

Anyways.

When I was about 10 or so, I had this dream where me and this random girl were playing and just having fun doing kid stuff. Suddenly I got the urge to tell her “this is a dream, and I can leave whenever I want to. Isn’t that cool?”

She replied with something like “I know.”

So I said “watch this” and in the dream, I closed my eyes and opened them and I was awake (in real life).

Didn’t think much of it.

Come this past June, I was in a town about 4 hours from the one I live in, getting my drivers license photo and all that done since COVID restrictions took them out of my town.

I walked out of the DMV there, and a girl is walking her dog. The dog peed on my moms car door, and she apologized.

We talked for a bit and she asked me for my Snapchat so we could talk some more, which was a first for me since I’m a solid 3/10.

Flash forward a few days later, we’ve been talking, we like each other, decide to hang out in person. She makes the drive up to my town to spend the night.

We spent most of the night just talking about random childhood stories, and I went a grabbed my 3rd grade school picture. Then she told me she had a dream when she was younger about how she was hanging out with a boy, then he said “this is a dream” and left.

She pointed out how younger me looked almost like the kid she had a dream about those years ago.

Well I told her my story of the similar incident, and we concluded we were destined to meet.

I think we both are in agreement that it’s just a scary coincidence, but we both also feel very twilight-zone-y about it now and we aren’t sure if it is a coincidence or some weird fate stuff.

Life is weird, kiddos.

I’ll try to keep this as short as possible, I have ADHD and my stories turn into ramblings most of the time.

Anyways.

Last night I lived 10 years in 8 hours

Last night, I hade the longest dream ever. It went on for 10 years and I remember faces, names, details of a full 10 year life. I felt a personal connection with each person and sometimes still think they are real for a minute. Here is my story

The dream started with me being about 16 years old. I was halfway through the school year and had mostly B’s with the occasional A.

Within about 1 month, i met a girl named Abby and we hit it off right away. I was 16 so obviously it was probably gonna lead to nothing, but I was young and dumb. At that same time, maybe 2 weeks after we met, my dad had a stroke.

It caused huge problems, with him losing his job because half of his body (the right half) was disabled. He couldn’t properly talk but could form the words in his brain.

I had to quit high school to work at a local gas station and had to work for a man named Jack, who was very nice to me at work and understood my situation.

This is already 7 months after my dream started, and I’m becoming 17. Abby turned 17 about a month before me, so we were both 17. On my birthday, I couldn’t do much because we were living paycheck to paycheck.

The rest of the months until 1 month or so before I turned 18 where very uneventful, but I do remember dates and trips to stuff as mundane as Taco Bell for some days.

A little before I turned 18, a surgeon found out how to cure people who have suffered from strokes, by doing something with the nerves. We obviously came to the doctor right away, but had to pay a hefty fine (about 8k) for the surgery. We saved up money until I was 18, and had to take a loan from a bank.

We finally were able to do the surgery and it went mostly successful. He still had a speech impediment, but he could now walk with both legs and speak mostly normally.

2 months after, I proposed to Abby and she said yes. We planned to have our wedding when we were both 19 as we were still struggling financially. I lived with my parents until I got married to support the family. Eventually at 19 we got married and, while it was a small wedding, it was amazing.

Today I still remember the wedding and feel, weirdly pain that it was all fake.

I can go on with the story, but it’s 7 more years after this. I might finish writing out the story tomorrow. Thank you for reading my pretty long dream

Should I act on this dream? Please help.

So this morning I had this dream that;

I was contacted by a girl I went to high school with.
However, we weren't friends didn't have the same friends and have never seen her since school. Apart from friending on Facebook but everyone does that.

She contacts me to help with a young girl that had a mild disability in my dream but was playing basketball but was struggling with something. it was not clear in dream what about. But thought I could help.

What was clear is that when I turned to the girl from high school, who is now a grown women as in my age 32. Give or take. She looked crazy clear like real life clear, I look her up when awake and all her features were exactly as she is now as an adult not the teenager.

So firstly, I'm impressed and freaked how accurate my dream was.
I've honestly never looked her up over the years I didn't know anything about her until just glancing at Facebook today.

Secondly, it felt like she was asking for help with something was the crux off the dream.
The little girl and the basketball thing I think is me. As I've worked with young people of all ages over the years and am currently looking to start coaching basketball or ice hockey for juniors.

So my question. Do I contact this girl, who is married and who I have no reason except my dream said she wanted my help.....?

Ps.Yeah I also know how weird it would look from her point of view.

I lived a whole life while i was sleeping. tw: suicide

So last night i dreamt up a whole life. Many things were similar to my actual life, i went to school, i had some friends that actually exist irl. But there was a family that was really close with mine. A boy two years older than me named Daniel, his father, a football coach named Stephen and the mum, a little blonde lady named Angela. My dream started when we were little, and progressed as we grew. Everything was so realistic, i had memory, i had a reflection, we went on holiday together twice. He was my best friend and he lived only a ten minute drive away. Eventually, something led Daniel to go crazy and he was put in a mental hospital where his parents and mine didnt let me visit him. He then killed himself. In the last part of my dream, before the funeral, i had to sit in an empty little room with his parents, mine and a priest, and there was a wall before us with hundreds of pictures of Daniel, him with me when we were little, us on holiday, i can now recall every single picture that was on the wall and everything we did together. In my dream i looked at all the pictures and sobbed, i could even see my reflection crying in a picture frame. I felt real pain and emotions and i really don't know what to do now that i'm awake. These people dont exist. If anyone knows what this dream meant and can help me, or if anyone has experienced anything similar, please share.

How to handle the loss of my dreamed-up son?

Had a very vivid dream last night. At one point in the dream, I had a son called Ezra but I asked a friend's mum to look after him (uni classes). Came back later and friend's mum now believes she will have Ezra permanently and she wouldn't even speak to me. I was distraught. That and being angry at the circumstances of Ezra's birth (I'm a Lesbian, got blackout drunk, Emmy (friend) didn't stay with me and some guy got me pregnant at 19). There was way more to the dream than this.

I've woken up now but I still feel the loss of my dreamed up/fictional son. I don't know what to do? Do I just forget about it?
