In biblical times the goat carried the burden for sins, and today the idea is used to describe someone who takes the blame.

Goats are known for stubbornness, a common association used by dreams to create symbolism. “Get your goat” means to annoy to the point of anger. And an angry goat won’t relent.

Goats are messy. They’re tough. They’re independent. Does that describe you or someone you know, or characterize a situation?

These are the most common associations, and of course the important ones are the first that come off the top of your head as you think about the goat in your dream.

Is there meaning to seeing Baphomet in a dream?

I had a very strange dream last night, but one particular part stayed with me. In my dream a man with long black hair pulled back in a low ponytail was portraying a cousin of mine. It didn’t look or sound like him at & he was angry about something. Baphomet flew down from the sky & landed on top of the cousin’s head & everything started to get dark & feel dark. Evil like. Baphomet didn’t have goat legs & hooves though. He had the legs/feet/talons of a large bird.

Is this just an odd dream or may there be a message here?

Also, I grew up in a Baptist family so my knowledge of Baphomet is slim outside of what a Christian church tells people.

Goats or Goat-men walking on 2 legs coming to see me as a child.

I'm near 40 now. This is an old one time dream from when I was younger than 3-4. Like the title says, my parents took me on a camping trip and I was to be napping in what I remember to be a pop up trailer, in a crib type container to keep me from falling off the bed. They were not around and I woke up and looked out the zip up door which was tied open and I had clear view to an open outside area of dirt with visibility of 100's of yards. I awoke to silent sometimes horned dark colored goat beings walking on two legs possibly in robes because i don't remember detail of bodies or arms and front legs. There was maybe 20-30 of them spread out and walking at a slower pace bee-lining toward me, to see me or be in my presence. Who knows. the dream was vivid then and has been one of my oldest and clearest memories ever since. I remember having no fear and maybe slight concern. they never made it inside but just at the door and stopped as I lay down to pretend I slept under my sheets.

I was young, didn't know much about the world. What could this have meant?

Also, nice to be back on reddit after a long ass time !

Very odd, vivid dream that terrified me.

So, a week ago I had a dream that really stuck with me for some reason. I woke up around 1 in the afternoon (I work nights), with my heart still racing from it and feeling extremely anxious. I’m just trying to make sense of it.

In the dream, I had traveled by boat to this woodland-covered island in the middle of the lake that my parents live on/where I grew up. This island exists in real life. It’s about a mile long and maybe 100 yards wide, covered in woods with some native wildlife like deer, grey foxes, armadillos, raccoons, etc. This island sits directly across the water from my parents house, we can see it easily from our backyard. I used to take my canoe over there and explore this island a lot as a teenager. Also noteworthy: This island was the site of a very small summer camp sometime in the 1950s. You can still see the crumbled remains of what were once the camp kitchen and bunks, very simple wooden structures with a few rusted cot frames, misc trash and an old kitchen stove remaining. This island also was once home to a small herd of goats put there to help maintain vegetation on the island, but all had disappeared by the 90s. People camp on it occasionally.

Moving on to the dream! It was broad daylight outside, sometime in early afternoon I think. I went, for reasons unknown, to the island by boat. I don’t recall what sort of boat I was in. I think my husband was with me, but that detail is murky. I walked through the woods to the middle of the island where the old camp used to be. The kitchen mess hall is still standing, a wooden structure about the size of a doublewide trailer with no doors attached to the entrances or glass in the windows.

I go inside. There is no electricity, but I can the interior fairly well from the daylight coming through the open doorways/windows. Inside, it is littered with trash and nylon camping tents/piles of bedding where people have been sleeping there on the dirty wooden floor. There are 2 darkened rooms off each end of the main room. There are also several groups of people milling about inside, talking and laughing like this was just their hangout spot. Maybe 8-12 people total. I am drawn to a tent in the center of the room. It is partially unzipped, so I peek inside. It is empty except for a black plastic trash bag,and lying beside the trash bag is the decomposing body of 1 of my 4 cats. I become instantly filled with indescribable terror and run towards the doorway to leave.

As I try to leave, a young couple enter the doorway as the male half proclaims “alright let’s go cheat!” while leading his laughing female companion towards one of the darkened side rooms. I look back into the main room and see a large but rather skinny pink pig rooting around in the trash strewn about. The whole atmosphere was like a “trap house”, an abandoned building where homeless addicts congregate to squat and use drugs.

In terror, I proclaim “how can you all just sit in here with this dead, rotting cat like it doesn’t exist???” I was especially terrified over the body of my dead cat. I couldn’t even walk near the tent he was in. I remember hoping the pig would just eat his body so it would be gone.

My husband and I are forced to spend the night here. We chose a spot in the building far away from my dead cat. Upon awakening the next day, we make a hasty getaway. Suddenly the doorway has a flimsy screen door on it. I look around the main room once more before we go. The people are gone, but the pig is still there, rooting around in the trash on the floor. I say to my husband “we should leave the door propped open so the pig can get out”. Then we leave.

In reality, my cat is healthy and fine. He’s an indoor-only cat and my baby.

Can someone interpret this wild AF dream for me??lol

Dream I was herding a white goat that was satan

I don’t remember very much about it but I was herding a goat that was satan and was white, small-medium horns. While I was herding it up some stone steps or something it fell and busted it’s shoulder open. The injury was kind of a gash and then the dream ended.

I am a deer man, the devil is behind me, stroking my ears, and I see this all clear as I am looking in a mirror.

In my dream, I am part human and part deer. Kind of like an anime in that I am mostly still human, but I had deer ears on top of my head (also human ears, too) and maybe deer nose and eyes.

Behind me is what I assume or interpret as the devil. A man with long horns, but his face looks either goat-like or dragon-like. I recall him having a long neck that looked lizard-like, which went along with the dragon-like appearance. His hands could move and bend like human hands, but they also seemed talon-like. He was taller than me by a foot or two.

He is standing behind me and at first rubs his hands through my hair to make his way to my deer ears, where he strokes them together. I can see all this very clearly as I believe I am looking through a mirror or am seeing this as the spectator but still can feel what he is doing. In truth, having my deer ears stroked feels nice. As I continue to watch and feel him stroking me, I notice he keep nodding his head in agreement. I feel he is answering "yes," but I do not fully recall the question.

As good as this feels, I sense I could be in danger, though I am uncertain if I am or not. The fear alone is enough to cause me to start to wake up.

I am starting to wake up; the end of the dream is a bit unclear... But he tries to say something which I cannot hear. He presents to me a bone, which comes from him. I am uncertain if the bone came from him picking his teeth or picked the bone out of his neck. The bone is either a collarbone, rib bone, or neck bone. As I wake up, I sense a feeling as if he is upset that I am leaving without first accepting his offering.

At this point, I am awake. What do you think of my dream?
