What are possible meanings for dreams of bandits?

A bandit is a classic symbol of unrestrained sexuality. Dreams about bandits are especially prevalent in young males who are getting to know their sexuality. It’s a sign that they’re unnerved by the new strength and energy in themselves and don’t know how to control it, or that sexual urges have caused confusion or deviation.

For example, a young man dreams that he’s a bandit who sneaks into his girlfriend’s bedroom to steal her panties. It symbolizes his inner conflict about taking her virginity and portraying himself as someone he’s not in order to get into her pants.

A bandit can symbolize a state of anxiety or wariness. It can connect with fear of getting caught doing something wrong. It can symbolize someone or something that takes something valuable from you in the personal sense, such as your spouse or your nest egg.

The symbolism of a bandit adds a swashbuckling and seductive dimension to that of a burglar or thief. Robin Hood, for example, is portrayed as a merry bandit.

The Wet Bandits

I remember that when I was little, after watching Home Alone and not really understanding it, I had a dream about the Wet Bandits.

However, in the dream, they were called James and Tamari and had a reggae theme song that played whenever they appeared.

Frozen and abandoned towns

I spent a dream that was some kind of March through an iced over landscape. Some kind of natural disaster struck the area and I never got any back story as to how or why but it must have been this way for a long time for how much people accepted this happened. I accompanied a large group of people who marched on foot to scavenge and set up outposts to better the network of the large groups traveling.

It all started at the edge on the zone at a large repurposed hospital. Cars couldn’t go past this point out of fear of them being taken by bandits or the terrain. During the beginning of our March away from the building a heavy fog set in. About half the group was suddenly scared of the fog and said they had a feeling something watched them from within and ran to nearby ruins and structures while the rest pushed on ahead to what would be one of the first outposts. I believe it was a gas station with lots of abandoned tools and food that was about consumable. After a while with heavy supplies coming in and the area’s temperature improving it was just about bearable to live in.

I follow another large group to the next town which has no particular interesting even occur but there was a lot more snow than ice this time. The temperature was about the same throughout which was a lot better than when we first started. We reach a diner about halfway and set up another outpost. It was a nice place that was able to be heated up quickly with the equipment we brought. Portable strong heaters that didn’t rely on much fuel or electricity. It had a garage full of tools, junk, and lots of wood. There was also a large back room with a pool table, couches around a big table, weapons, a large tv, and bookshelf. What stood out the most was a strange baseball bat that had a longer handle than the hitting part of the bat. It also had many strange writings etched into it that were assumed to be signatures are first but where too long and too many words to be so. There were also blood stains left on it. With how strange the bat was I decided to take ownership of it since the entire area was inhospitable and everything was considered salvage.

After a few more minutes of talking to everyone and preparing food and supplies I woke up.

Nonsensical or deeper meaning?

So. Last night I had a really weird dream. Part of it was brought on by the stress of buying a house sometime next year, and part of it brought on by how much D&D I’ve been playing.

So in the start of the dream, I’m with a group of travelers/adventurers. We’re doing neat adventure stuff. Killing bandits, scaring off dragons. Real cool stuff.

And then I see a young Leonardo DiCaprio, and notice he has stretched ears!! He has them stretched far enough he can wrap them around his ear and make it kinda look like they aren’t stretched. He’s addressing a crowd of fans, and my group and I say hi before continuing on.

At some point we decide to rest at a tavern. Only this tavern is only half tavern, and the other half is the play room from my childhood at my mom and dads house. We have a few drinks, and then I stop to tell the party, “I’m gonna go stretch my ears.”

Mind you they’re already stretched to 10mm. I go over to the fireplace where there are tapers for stretching laid out on the wood floor. I’m so excited. I grab a taper and take my tunnels out, and just magically stretch right up from 10mm to 22mm. Like... what???

I grab my pride flag tunnels, and my husband suddenly shows up.

“Come on, I just bought us a house,” he says. He grabs my hand and then leads me to his car (which in reality has no rear windshield due to horrible weather conditions), and I think for a minute how it looks weird for some reason.

We get in the car, and he drives me away from the tavern. All the while I’m trying to put my tunnels in, and my ears magically shrink back to 10mm.

We meet up with this weird lady, and she starts to give us a tour of the house. This is when I wake up cause my husband rolled over to hold me. I’m not sure what to think about the randomness of it. Maybe there isn’t any real meaning to it.

"Why did you hurt me?"

Trigger Warning: Please don't read this if you're having a bad day. Come back to this when you're ready.

An old, dingy wooden house. The dust and decay is tangible on every surface. You drop through the floor into a narrow crawl space. You move through the crawl space, slowly creeping your way around what appears to be walls. You gradually make your way around the first wall, finally able to make out just what it is you're maneuvering around as the light illuminates its face.

Sure, it could have been a wall at one point, but somebody must have died near it at the very least. What you were crawling around was a *molded.* A long past dead body, a decaying corpse which was covered in a black mold. It snaps it's gaze towards you, though it has no eyes to see you, it does have a head. You keep as much distance as you can as it watches you. There are two more corroded walls which have more carcasses attached to them.

A voice rings through your head. You've heard it before and you've heard it taunt you before. It taunts you again as you slowly make your way through the little maze of sickeningly sweet decaying remains. "Hey there buddy... Don't you wanna take up my offer? I'll talk to you, keep you comfy..."

another body passed "I know you'd like that... Just stay here with me, okay?"

You see the body your passing push its arms towards you. It's arms move too slowly to actually grapple you, but with how tight the space was, not moving away from it could've killed you. "Don't you wanna be friends? Hehehehe..."

You're finally making it to the end of the crawl space, a window with a tantalizing light behind it. You see something in the window, covered in wet and dirty fur. You recognize the figure, a snout with a black nose, two paws at the end of its legs. It's not moving. You crawl past it, and you hear that voice in your head again, now noticeably deeper, and frighteningly contorted. "Why did you hurt me?"

You make your way out the window, and you turn your head to look back at it, seeing a crude crimson painting across the wall, attached to a corpse. The being you crawled past died rather recently, and judging by the claw marks and sign of struggle, it looks as if it died scared, running for it's life.

Alright, so this was the spookiest bit of a much larger but hard to remember dream I had. After the point mentioned in the story, I learned that outside the house was a Sasquatch, which would do it's best Michael Myers speed walk towards you until it got to you and killed you, presumably by ripping you in half like I assume it did the dog. I escaped it (after dying once and restarting) by taking a door to the surface of an asteroid, at which point sasquatch walked so fast that it lapped the entire surface of the asteroid multiple times and the caught me.

Before this point I crudely remember making my way through a dingy wooden house. At one point I was presented a key, which when I took, initiated a chase sequence in which a band of bandits snatched it from a road below, and I had to chase them in an action sequence right out of a michael bay film. I died during the action sequence, restarted, and forwent the key, leading to the above mentioned sequence of events.

I slightly altered the occurings, specifically at the end to increase drama, as the way I initiated it to speak to me was actually by picking it up like an item in a video game and putting it back down.

This dream had clear influences from RE7 by the way, great game if you haven't heard of it. I recommend it if you wanna see what the above mentioned molded look like and play through a pretty scary/thrilling game. The dog had the same voice as Lucas Baker, fairly young and high pitched with a southern drawl.

I dreamt that I murdered a man and started living with his family.

I was some sort of soldier (looked like the 1700's or 1800's) and I was given the order to murder a man and his wife and daughter. I murdered the man and probably ended up heavily wounded, the man's family took my wounded body to their home (they probably trusted me because the father was likely also a soldier like me) to treat it. Having accepted their father's death the two take me in because they feel unsafe living in the middle of the countryside woods without a man they can trust. I swear to take the truth with me to the grave and never tell them what happened. I live with the wife and the daughter as if it was my own family. The army likely thinks I died and send Individual soldiers occasionally to finish my family-assasination mission, but I kill them wearing a mask in order to not be recognised, as well as fighting off bandits who try to approach our house in the forest. I become very devoted to protecting the family as if it was my very own.
