Return to the feelings

Our emotions in dreams can help us understand its meaning. Pay attention to how you felt in the dream. Pay attention to how you feel about bees in dreams. See how you feel about bees now, in your waking life.

What are possible meanings for dreams of bees?

Bees in a dream are generally a positive sign, but look at the context of the dream before jumping to conclusions. Obviously, being stung by a bee or attacked by a swarm is not a positive sign unless it is, at heart, a message that something about yourself or the circumstances of your life needs to change. In which case it is a sort of mixed blessing.

Bees are communal, self-sacrificing, diligent, and orderly. Any of these ideas can be expressed in dreams featuring bees.

Dreams about bees can symbolize the relationship between you and the community or neighborhood in which you live, or the circle of people with whom you associate. For example, a school or work community can be symbolized as a hive. It can symbolize a “hive mind.”

A hive can symbolize building something as a part of a community. The product of the labor can be material, but also consider less-tangible possibilities, such as building a sense of togetherness or cooperation. Good relationships are built through cooperation, trust, and responsiveness to the needs of others, all of which are exhibited by bees working together.

Bees connect a neighborhood because they cross boundaries and regularly visit every place they can get nectar, and that idea can connect with things that create a sense of cohesion, such as shared values or beliefs.

In that sense, if you think of the psyche as a collective, the bees are the beliefs, values, feelings, thoughts, and processes that connect everything together.

To dream about busy bees can symbolize hard work and being busy, as in the phrase “busy as a bee.” It can symbolize a family or community working in harmony.

If you fear bees they can easily be used in dreams to symbolize a fear, and you will react with fear to the presence of bees.

Another possibility is that bees can symbolize an annoyance that won’t go away, something that pesters. This use of the symbolism is likely to be accompanied by the action of swatting or stronger actions to rid yourself of bees. For example, grabbing a shotgun to get rid of an annoying bee in your house can symbolize a strong desire to be rid of a house guest who drops by and won’t leave. You are ready to take drastic action.

Running from or avoiding bees can symbolize avoiding responsibility or pain. Avoiding a swarm can symbolize avoiding a group of angry people. A swarm can symbolize thoughts that make your head buzz, or it can suggest disagreement with, or within, a community.

Angry bees can symbolize that you said or did something—or neglected to do something—that angered a group of people. For example, you post something on Facebook that draws a lot of stinging comments.

A swarm of bees is, in simplest terms, trouble! It’s something you want to avoid, such as a bad disagreement among friends or a perilous situation.

Stinging bees are associated with pain—especially nerve pain.

To be stung by a bee can symbolize a stinging remark. Feelings such as regret and guilt can sting. It can symbolize the ways you say things to yourself that hurt.

Think more expansively and it can mean a situation you are in is painful in some way.

Because bees make honey, they can be associated with wealth and sweetness. Honey symbolizes the product of your labor or good intentions. It can symbolize a reward or indulgence, especially the intimate and sexual varieties of indulgence.

Honey in a dream can relate to digestion, including the digestion of thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Bees digest nectar to produce honey. You digest your experiences in life to improve yourself. When you dream, especially during REM-stage dreaming, your mind digests the experiences of your day so you can learn and grow.

Bees landing on flowers, extracting nectar and depositing pollen, can symbolize something related to fertilization. Perhaps you are laying the groundwork for a future endeavor or personal growth. Or take the idea further and it can symbolize conception, the fertilization of the female egg with the male sperm.

The image of a bee on a succulent flower is charged with sexual references. The flower is associated with the vaginal area, and a bee extracting nectar and leaving pollen is a heck of a metaphor.

Dream about bugs burrowing into my skin

I had a dream the other night, and I can remember the full context, but in one major part, I'd looked at my left arm and there was a bug (looked like a bee or something similar) that had burrowed into my arm and was poking its head out.
I'd tried to grab it and pull it out, but it ducked back inside the little hole it had made.

I was just wondering if this kind of thing had any sort of symbolism or anything.

(I also actually could feel it when I tried to squeeze it out, so I'm convinced I was probably pinching myself in my sleep.)

Bees

I had a dream that I was walking around at night, and some bees followed me home. They were in my room, and I couldn't sleep because I was afraid of getting stung. I ended up fleeing to the guest room, but when I woke up the bees had infested the house. I was also running late for school, and I had to keep running back into the bees-infested house to get things I had forgotten.

Beehive on my head

This dream is a couple years old, writing from my dream journal.

I had a beehive on my head, it looked like the classic beehive (not as they look in real life). I had to be very careful, because it was a bit loose on my head and if I tilted my head too far forward it would slide over my eyes.

I had willingly allowed the bees to put the hive there. I was concerned about how loose it was and knowing that I wasn't an expert on the topic, I decided to go see a doctor. He showed me that I could use an app on my phone to see the temperature of the hive and check its balance. He assured me the bees wouldn't attack me if I messed up or hurt the hive. After that, I felt a lot better.

I have no other details.

My crush from 18 years ago got a divorce and came looking for me.

I had like a 3 part dream. None of it interlinked but PLEASE PLEASE try and help me.

Dream #1 was centered around a guy I had a crush on IRL when I was in middle school and he was in high school. IRL, a few years after I had entered high school, I tried to add him on social media and he denied my requests each time. He later got married. I’ve since then forgotten all about him until last night. IN MY DREAM he sent me a request on FB. I looked through his page to find him recently divorced and hating his wife (no pics of her or his children) he asked me out. I messaged and asked his twin sister if he was truly divorced. She didn’t respond. So I told him no.

Dream # 2 I was in McDonalds drive through line. I specifically asked for two sausage McMuffins for a 2 for $4 deal. I get to the window and the chick there says she didn’t hear me clearly. I repeated my order. She said my total was $3.80. I gave her my card and pulled forward. The guy at the next window gave me my food and receipt. The receipt said $38. I was furious. He told me they couldn’t refund me. So I ended up going into the restaurant and beating his ass. I felt bad and apologized. The police came looking for me and I went on the run.

Dream # 3 I was in my old childhood house and I opened a window in our den/sitting room. A swarm of bees came in and attacked. The only injury I got was a scratch on my leg. Suddenly the sky changed to gray, then to a photo negative type of scene and it kept changing. Suddenly it was this guy standing next to me and he said that everyone can manipulate the skies to their liking. They just have to use a special computer and “pull down” the scene. He said we all have the ability to do and create what ever we want.

I know these are all random, but if you can help, I’d appreciate. If you need any further details, you can ask.

Goats or Goat-men walking on 2 legs coming to see me as a child.

I'm near 40 now. This is an old one time dream from when I was younger than 3-4. Like the title says, my parents took me on a camping trip and I was to be napping in what I remember to be a pop up trailer, in a crib type container to keep me from falling off the bed. They were not around and I woke up and looked out the zip up door which was tied open and I had clear view to an open outside area of dirt with visibility of 100's of yards. I awoke to silent sometimes horned dark colored goat beings walking on two legs possibly in robes because i don't remember detail of bodies or arms and front legs. There was maybe 20-30 of them spread out and walking at a slower pace bee-lining toward me, to see me or be in my presence. Who knows. the dream was vivid then and has been one of my oldest and clearest memories ever since. I remember having no fear and maybe slight concern. they never made it inside but just at the door and stopped as I lay down to pretend I slept under my sheets.

I was young, didn't know much about the world. What could this have meant?

Also, nice to be back on reddit after a long ass time !
