What are possible meanings for dreams of gorillas?

Gorillas are associated with wild and territorial behavior. They can symbolize the “animal mind,” unfettered sexuality, or something wild, physically powerful, and unpredictable.

For example, a young man dreams that a gorilla is in his bedroom and he tells his roommate to lock it up. Then, fearing the gorilla, he acts sweetly toward it, and it acts sweetly toward him. It symbolizes an ongoing situation with an unpredictable and sometimes unhinged roommate. The roommate frequently enters the dreamer’s bedroom without permission. The dream makes the connection with the roommate when the dreamer tells him to lock up the gorilla, then acts nicely toward it. It symbolizes the dreamer’s strategy to act nicely toward the roommate and hide his true feelings about the intrusions—the guy is too unpredictable and immensely strong.

Gorillas and apes are associated with human evolution and can be used as symbolism to show something in the early stages of development. These creatures can be shorthand to mean “primitive.”

If someone acts like an ape or gorilla it means the person displays primitive behaviors or impulses. For example, a young man dreams that his uncle dresses up in a gorilla costume and jumps around on the roof of his grandma’s house. It symbolizes the uncle’s behavior during holidays at grandma’s house when he gets drunk and acts like a gorilla.

My weird dream about my brother in gorilla world.

So a while ago I had a dream about my brother who himself is a big dude at 6'5" an 230 pounds, and I call him a gorilla cause he hates it. But to the dream it starts out with a door in my house opening to a jungle world filled with gorilla and in the center it is my brother and a ggorillanamed Koko (who is an actual ggorillawho knows asl),

Koko is signing with subtitles talking about the humans want to build a ggorillahospital to help injured ggorilla

My brother who still human in the dream goes off on a rant talking about how he does not trust humans, so Koko and him get into an argument about it so my brother takes two gogorillaody guards and takes koko out of gogorillaorld and kills her. Once they were out of gogorillaorld I was there and witnessed the whole killing.

Then my brother saw that I saw he started to charge me so I ran upstairs where a dog that I do not own named "Chrysal" a husky attacks my brother and the dream cuts to a different version of the ending of Terminator with me and my dog talking about how I survived the attack.

I do not know why or what.

beautiful Gorilla/Orangutan dream!

Sounds interesting, and it most certainly was.

Having come out of a previous bad dream, I'm surrounded by lush forest - in a small clearing filled with twigs and the soil was a vibrantly rich brown. I'm surrounded by am amalgamation of gorillas and orangutans, some are sitting down and eating, others climbing in the trees and socializing. I reach my hand out to meet an orangutan, who responds by doing the same - their hand out and palm facing the sun that shines through the canopy. I caress their hand, feeling the rough wavy textures that make up their skin. Their fingers and hands are bigger than mine, it's really interesting. Suddenly, a gorillas runs up to me on it's two legs (not necessarily human, but like agorillasa, it's huge arms swinging back and forth.) It embraces me with love, gives me little love kiss on my ear, and runs off excited.

Anyone have an interpretation? This dream made me feel so loved and appreciative of life. It ended quickly but I remember it vividly.

I had this strange dream I was attacked waking up to chest pain

This was about 4-5 years ago.

It was a dream where everything was black and white. I was in a dark corner of what seemed to be the end of a hall way of a jail (there was jail cells everywhere).

Then, there was this black figure that showed up at the end of the hallway. It looked like a gorilla, but all shadows. It then came charging at me, and as I brac'd for the hit, I felt a pain, was still in the dream, and I woke up.

I woke up, and I still had that pain. It was the only time I've ever experienced this before. I could hardly breathe, it took me a few seconds to catch my breath. It felt like a truck or whatever that was really charged into my chest.

So yeah. I don't know if that is something that just happens, or if it's something else, but the timing of it all was insane. Would like some theories on what the heck happened there.
