What are possible meanings for dreams of living rooms?

In many homes, the living room is the main room for socializing. In dreams it can be a setting for depicting the image of yourself that you want others to see—your social image or persona. It can be a setting that shows how you see yourself, your self-image, or how you think people perceive you, which can be different from reality.

A living room can have symbolic meaning similar to that of a front door, a boundary between your public and personal life. Guests who come to your home are welcome in the living room, but might not be welcome in your bedroom, for example. They’re welcome to see the public version of you, but not the private version. See: Doors

Of course, a living room can be a popular room in your house, a place where you spend a lot of time, and a dream that takes place in your living room might refer to a recent event or something that commonly occurs there, such as talking with family members. A living room might not have specific symbolism, but instead simply be a setting for telling a story about your life.

A living room can be used to describe your living situation. For example, a messy living room can symbolize a messy living situation, not just physically but maybe also personally or emotionally. A clean and orderly living room can reflect a clean and orderly life.

Dreaming about a living room in a home where you used to live can refer to that time of your life. Something from that time is relevant to the present, such as a pattern that started or idea that took root.

Last night was the weirdest dream I've ever had.

I was in my living room, when my dad started talking about some evangelical culty nonsense. I can't remember the entire rant, but here are some parts i can remember, "god is sad" and "when the blood of men is spilled on earth, water will return to mars".

And then the rest of the dream was me moving from one room to another, every time i looked out of the window, a carbon copy of me, but with black eyes, stared at me, hatefully, from the tree line. and then at the end, my mom was asking me to do something when her eyes went black and her voice went layered, like a demon had possessed her.

If it helps, i am a Pagan in real life.

I fell in love in a dream, she doesn't exist but I still miss her.

This happened 2 months ago but it's still amazingly vivid. She was not what I would normally consider my dream girl (pun inteneded) and yet there she was.

I was going through a major depressive episode at the time. At first realizing it was a dream bummed me out, however the feeling of being THAT in love nearly single handedly brought me out of it. even if it was all fake.

I was living at my grandparents house in rural arkansas as I did a lot throughout my teenage years. However that where the familiarity with the setting ended.

I spent the early part of the day working on my motorcycle (I dont own a motorcycle lol) I was having some problems with the engine(after waking up I realised it was the spark plug). but despite these problem I was intent on riding it. I geared up and set off on a cruise.

After what was both simultaneously hours and seconds I broke down on the side of the road, with a dead phone. A helmeted biker drives up to me and says their brother is a mechanic and can help me out. I accept their offer and they tow me to their house while I ride on the back of their motercycle(how you tow a bike with a bike is a mystery to me).

It was at this point I realised the biker was female while holding onto her. She was wearing biker leathers and a helmet so at first so I hadn't noticed.

She takes me up a nearby "mountain" that I had assumed was miles away but we somehow got there in a few minutes of curvy roads. I meet her brother he takes the bike to the garage and says it will be ready tomorrow. This is when she finally removes her helmet.

She was middle eastern, with soft chestnut brown hair that reached her lower back. Her face is the only thing that is a little blurry but I remember her eyes were a shade of hazel eyes that seemed to both reflect and capture the sun.

Her body was tall and lean, im a little over 6'0 but she was close to my height. About 5'10 if I had to guess. While she was certainly lean she wasn't scrawny. Her hips still found a way to curve into a way that made it near impossible to resist placing my hands. At first glance she looked frail and yet She had am impressive array of muscles. Like a track and field athlete.I wouldn't really describe her as sexy or hot. She was magnetic, elegant, like some kind of desert royalty.

All that to say she was attractive. But love isn't born from the outside. Her personality was amazing. She was tomboyish in nature. Often covered in oil from her bike or cuts from exploring the mountains. And yet she didn't sacrifice all of her femininity. And my god was she funny. Is it narcissistic to laugh in a dream. That's just me laughing at my own jokes. But I digress. We were a good match

I can't remember why but I ended up living with her for a few months. We spent a lot of time working on bikes and cars together. Watching movies in her living room. Playing outside. Until eventually it became a romantic relationship. We went on motercycle rides, picnics, and all sorts of dates.

I was so happy that I cant even describe it without feeling like my chest will explode.

We were in the middle of talking, cuddling on the couch just enjoying eachothers company when my alarm went off.

After coming to my senses I felt a heartbreak so real that saying it was a dream doesn't seem possible.

I've never been in any relationship that's worth mentioning. I've never been in love. I'm not sure how close that was to the real thing but I lm very happy and grateful to have experiences even this faux love.

This happened 2 months ago but it's still amazingly vivid. She was not what I would normally consider my dream girl (pun inteneded) and yet there she was.

My friend gutted their dog to get my attention and then healed the wound with magic????

So for context, my relationship with this person is strained at the moment. I have intense romantic feelings for this person and though they say they reciprocate, their feelings will always come second to our friendship. Oh, and they have a live-in girlfriend. Yes i know thats fucked up. We've met IRL once and it was so awesome, but i had to share them w their gf a lot of the time. Now I've been trying to express my feelings and concerns about the friendship/tie to this person but they suck at responding to me, so I have half a mind to call them on the phone and just let loose. BUT ANYWAY

Onto the dream...

So this is what I remember. I was at someone's house, and they and their girlfriend were upstairs hanging out. I was in the living room with a different friend smoking. All of a sudden I get a video call from my friend from upstairs. I answer and they tell me their dog just got gutted????? And Im like HUH??????? So he shows me the gash on camera. The dog is still alive but in pain. And im like holy FUCK what happened???? I dont remember exactly what they responded with but I was like thats fucked. So I rush upstairs to see if the dog is okay. Magically, the wound is healed. Red and inflamed but no longer a gash. And im like what in the fuck?????

So I came to the conclusion in the dream that one of them had maimed the dog to get my attention and once they had it, healed the dog of its injuries.

Anyone have any idea what this could mean? I can give more context if need be

9-1-1

Last night I had a nightmare where my friends and I were all hanging out at my apartment. My Uncle was there, too. Suddenly, we all looked out my window and I see a plane spiraling out of control in the air. Doing loop-de-loop’s and all sorts of crazy shit. My instincts kick in and I start to freak out. My Uncle scolds me for being a “pussy” and telling me to relax. Suddenly, the plane makes a beeline for my apartment complex and crashes into the wall. The wall is still somehow intact, but the wall is now severely damaged and the window is blown out. I can tell that the building is about to collapse.

I look to my Uncle and friends who are unconscious beneath a bunch of random debris in the middle of my living room. I quickly grab my cat and force her into her kennel. I nervously step outside of my front door and away from the building. I then attempt to call 9-1-1. Phone stops ringing. I try again. 9-1-1. No pickup. No response. I keep dialing 9-1-1 over and over and over again. Trying to get some help for my friends and family. Nobody picks up. Every time I dial, I scream out the numbers 9-1-1. Repeatedly.

That’s when I jolted awake in my bed. My cat lying peacefully beside me. I immediately check my phone out of instinct. The time was 9:11 am. No shit.

No idea what this means, or how I knew the time...could just be a giant coincidence...

(NSFW) I dont know who else to talk to about this...

Last night I (20y.M) had a dream about my ex, someone who i just cant let go of no matter how much time passes by.

It started with me hanging out with my brother and some friends in a large apartment complex when i find a party going on in one of them. I alone enter and as i turn around i notice that all of my buds had vanished. Turning back around to the door, a girl greets me, looks about my age, although i have never seen her before. She welcomes me inside and tells me its an orgy party celebrating a certain someones 21st birthday. This had me in shock and i didnt know how to respond before this girl took my hand and began leading further into the apartment, which had now expanded into the size of your average middle class house. Going into the living room it was revealed the person whom was throwing the party was my ex, who claimed "the guest of honor had arrived." All around the room were countless girls, who were all of similar age, wearing skimpy dresses or hardly nothing at all; all of them doing something erotic or teasing.

I was confused, then she told me i could have my way with any of the girls in the room except for her, but then something in me clicked... i refused. I told her the one person i would do anything with *was* her, so... she offered a deal: "if you can satisfy every girl in this room and still have enough energy, then i will participate." I accepted then prepared myself for the mob approaching me, each one with a hungry expression on their faces.
Almost embarrassingly frightened, i began, one after one after one. Orgasm after orgasm after orgasm. After a while i thought to myself i had to have gone through over a dozen girls but the mob just wont thin and my ex just appears further each time; and with each time, my stamina depletes, but my resolve does not.

I continue to try until i black out and i awake irl with a very empty feeling in my chest.
