What are possible meanings for dreams of lockers?
A dream theme that arises with surprising frequency is that you are unable to remember the combination to your school locker. This theme is especially puzzling for people who have been out of school for years. To understand the symbolism, begin with what it can mean to be back in school. It can mean that you’re challenged to learn something new, or feel unprepared for something in your present life—something for which school was supposed to prepare you, such as career, college, and adulthood.
Now apply that idea to the symbolism of a locker. It’s where you store your books and school supplies. If you can’t find your locker in a dream, or can’t remember the combination, it can mean you are having difficulty getting access to what you need in your present stage of life to accomplish what you want, or to reach a goal.
Accomplishments and goals often involve a combination of factors, such as perseverance, skill, opportunity, and luck. A locker can mean you’re looking for the right combination to make something happen in your life, symbolized as trying to remember the combination to your locker. Also, in your love life you look for a combination of background, traits, and qualities in a person to date or marry.
Another way of looking at it: a locker is supposed to be your private place. If you can’t remember the locker combination, can’t find your locker, or someone breaks into your locker, it can mean you are having issues with privacy and setting boundaries. You can’t figure out how to keep someone out of your life, or to prevent people from prying into it.
There are other types of lockers, such as at work or the gym, which can be used to create symbolism similar to a school locker. For example, dreaming that you can’t find your work locker can mean you forgot the reason you started working at a certain job or profession. If you’re retired, perhaps you’re trying to figure out how you’re going to occupy yourself now that you don’t have an occupation.
Finding a rat in your locker can symbolize feeling betrayed. Dreaming about your workout clothes missing from your gym locker can mean that your identity as an athlete or jock no longer suits you, or you face obstacles to finding the time or motivation to work out.

Anyone else have recurring themes/events?
I have noticed that I have a few situations that are the same whenever I dream them. I wonder if others have the same experience?
- When I'm running forward, I am slowed down and heavy. When I run backwards, I can sprint.
- I am back in school, but I've already graduated. I can never find my locker, I haven't been to particular classes in weeks because I don't have a schedule, and my gym clothes are the same ones that I actually did wear in high school.
- I can see my car in the parking lot, but when I approach it, I can't find it. My key fob unlocks cars which aren't mine. I usually find out my car has been towed and resold.
- Whenever I get shot, I can feel little vibrations up my spine.
- Whenever I dream about sex, I never achieve orgasm in my dream.

What's the most memorable dream you've ever had?
For me, it was my first Lucid Dream
I performed a reality check, attempting to push my fingers through my hand. Didn't work. I tried again, counting my fingers, counting 6 on my left hand
I paused, counting again as my fingers began to blur together, I thought they were multiplying.
That's when I realized I was in a dream, sitting on a couch in my old school House, on a couch where the piano was under the stairs. The feeling of Lucidity in a dream was astonishing, breathtaking. I didn't even notice I was fading
I stood up and walked left into the main room, where the lockers are. There were 3 people in the room, scattered around, kneeling over schoolbags and searching them. To the left were the windows and a door leading outside to the other house's assembly point, but all the windows were frosted over completely, no seeing out of them at all
Then I woke up. I was still reeling from having achieved Lucidity, i'd been trying for a while prior to that dream and was starting to drift away from it. It revitalized my interest in it

Lost at School
IRL I am many, many years past high school. Setting is a 4-story high school, my symbol for learning. I cannot find my locker which contains both books (knowledge) and my class schedule (where I should be.) I know that my locker number is 10033 but I cannot find it. None of the locker are in numerical order and they are different sizes and shapes.
I find i should be in an electronics class and I am set up at a station to work with colored cellophane papers (red, yellow, blue, green, and orange) that are to be placed over objects or passages in books, but either i am doing it wrong or I can't see what I am supposed to, which seems self-explanatory.
1. I have never dreamed a specific number before and it dies not have any meaning to me
2. Electricity? Colored cellophane?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Recurring dream for 30 years
I am 56 now, and had the same dream for more than 30 years after I graduated from high school. In the beginning I had the dream 2 or 3 times a week, and as the years went by the dream became less frequent until it got to the point where it completely stopped.
It's a fairly common dream I found out years ago, but my reaction to it was not.
I am in high school, I get to my locker and I can't open it. I go to the office, who seems to have the combination, and writes it down for me. (Which even as I'm asking them, puzzles me).
I get to the locker and it still won't open.
When I first started having the dream, it would end, and I didn't think a lot of it. Then, as the dream became more frequent, in the dream itself, it scared me that I couldn't open the locker.
Near the end, many years later, the dream became like a nightmare, and I was absolutely horrified about what might be in the locker. I was almost afraid to open it. The dream started making me afraid to go to sleep.
If anyone has any ideas about the dream, why it kept happening, and how it changed for me, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks.

I promised I wouldn’t forget you Susan
I had a dream that I was transported back in time to high school. I met a spunky girl named Susan who was younger than me, but had been put in the same grade. We had lockers nearby and she had found empty lockers and taken off the extra clothing hooks for jackets and put them in hers. She offered to do the same for mine if I didn’t tell anyone.
We became friends. She had a tool kit in her backpack and we used it to sneak into place and once let out a bunch of senior citizens to play kickball. She once stood up for me to a bunch of girls who were making fun of me. Someone graffitied our lockers and we used the graffiti as a way to get excused from school because it was too distressing and went and got food instead. We laughed and had fun, but lost touch after graduation until I met her again years down the road and we recognized each other in the street. She had started growing a mustache and I was so jealous of her.
We started hanging out again and she told me of her husband who was on a long hiking trail and it turns out he had a mustache too. Her phone case was a makeshift case she built herself out of an old cassette tape. And when she smiled at me and told me not to forget her, I woke up. So to the woman that stood up for me in high school, who let me lose to senior citizens at kickball, who drove the intertwining highways passed gas stations, and one I will not forget, here’s to Susan.
