What are possible meanings for dreams of serial killers?
As with most dream characters, a serial killer is symbolism based on common perceptions and personal situations.
A serial killer character can be a dream’s way of saying that someone or something methodically works against you. For example, people in business who play a “zero-sum game” are out to win at any cost, including by eliminating their competition. They are killers in the sense that they can kill your business.
Serial killers are often indistinguishable from ordinary people. They can disguise themselves behind a facade of friendliness and affability in order to avoid getting caught and to take their victims unaware.
A man who owns a business dreams that he knows a serial killer is in his warehouse, and he warns himself to be careful. He’s working and gets a text message, which he ignores, then another, more insistent message that reads, The serial killer is here, be careful. It symbolizes his subconscious knowledge that he’s being set up.
The serial killer is not depicted in this dream, but its presence in the dreamer’s workplace is a clue that points to where the danger is coming from. He’s making some big business decisions and feels exposed to subterfuge because he’s dealing with new people. But no one sticks out as suspicious enough to be characterized as a serial killer, even in an exaggerated way. Then it dawns on him that one of his suppliers is also a competitor, and that rival is positioning himself to wipe out the dreamer’s business. The rival has cleverly maneuvered for the kill, and the dream tells the man what he knows subconsciously but has been too busy to realize. His dream gives him the prompting he needed to connect the dots.
Dreams can use a serial killer character to take you inside the mind of such a person. For example, a student of psychology studying serial killers dreams recurrently about a serial killer. Some of the scenes are very intense, as in the movie Silence of the Lambs. The dream acts as a simulation to take the dreamer inside the mind of a serial killer.

My sister had a dream I was a serial killer
That was it, she said I didn’t know I was a serial killer until all these people were turning up dead and I was like obviously the one who did it. What could that mean for her? Lol

Had a pretty awful dream about a serial killer/child abductor I made up.
So there was a tale of a man who sets up two poles in fields, and ties strings to those poles to create triangles. Various triangles. Different ones for different people and areas. These triangles somehow subliminally told kids to come over here. To which the man would rape, abuse, or kill the child. Or all three.
One day, my mom and I were driving home when i saw the triangles. Going back to where we left, Steve Rogers and T'Challa went looking for him at my request. To no avail. Even though I knew his general location, seeing the triangles in a field just down the road.
They had no luck finding him. I received a call from an unknown number. I answered, only to find it was this son of a bitch. He knew everything about me. Knew where I lived, my name, SSID, everything. So myself and two other went after him. We hid in the trees of a small campsite and waited. He arrived and recorded himself talking about his pleasures. He saw us in the trees and took off.
Before he was able to escape, we tackled and captured him. We took him to a house and tried to figure out what to do with him. One of the guys with me said we should spare him. I said no, he rapes and beats children. I went over to him, and started beating him. Hits to the temple, jaw, throat. Broke some bones and put him in serious pain. He started to crawl away, laughing about his victims. I grabbed a gun and shot him through the bottom of his head. Watching the life leave his body made me happy. It was over.
It was at this point I woke up and went "what did I just dream up?" It felt so real. I truly believed there was a triangle killer out there, I had to Google it to find out it wasn't real.
Interpretations welcome, or you can just enjoy reading it. I just felt the need to write it out somewhere. Thanks for your time.

Weird dream about murder can anybody interpret it?
I had a dream where I finished working out and went to use the bathroom, as I walked in a 7 ft Chinese man pissed on me. I said wtf to him and then 3 smaller Chinese men approached me and were going to attack me so I left. In the hallway one of then small ones came out so I punched him and dropped him on his neck killing him,one more came and I did the same thing breaking his neck and killing him. I walked to the garage and as I was getting in my car two policemen arrested me and put me in the back of there car, as they got in a serial killer walked by with a old lady and she passed out. The cops went to do cpr and the serial killer stabbed and killed them both, he then uncuffed me and thew a bottle of pills on the ground and said he drugged her. He told me to get rid of the evidence so I set them all on fire and drove away.

In a dream, I tried astral projecting into my crush's pad but was inexperienced and ended up in random people's bedrooms, waking them up in the middle of the night scaring the f**k out of them.
As the title suggests, I'm OLDing and was very curious about one guy in particular and was feeling nosy. I try not to dive too deep into googling people irl because... let's just say I am skilled in ways that aren't good for my mental health. And so now, to avoid another spiraling mental breakdown, I just slowly get to know people irl and not search for their discus account or livejournal from 2003. Well anyhow, my unconscious self was having none of that and so I dreamt that I was trying to scope out if this guy is married or a serial killer via astral projection instead of white pages, but I was too "inexperienced". Instead I just kept popping up in random strangers rooms, waking them up and scaring them shitless, because they see a ghostly looking girl with like a weird greenish matrix-looking glow to her standing at the foot of their bed. One of the people I saw was the crush's sister, whom I had to hide my face from in case she recognized me somehow and outed me to him. Yeah I know, this is all nuts. How's everyone's weekend going?

Please help me interpret this horrible nightmare (warning: graphic) I haven't been able to relax since I woke up from it
For background: I'm a 22yr old woman, I'm single, I've no children, and I live with my mom and our 2 dogs (I'm obsessed with true horror stories though, which I'm sure spurred at least part of this nightmare)
The nightmare: I wake up in bed. I'm not sure what woke me. I turn to my husband. He's looking at me, confused. We hear bloodcurdling screaming. It's coming from our infant son's room. There's something wrong about this scream, it's not a normal food/diaper change scream. We jump out of bed. We're running down the hall. I reach the door first. I look in. I see our daughter, a toddler, in our son's crib. She's raping him. I gasp and start crying. I fall away from the door. My husband rushes in. He pulls her off of him. Our son dies from the physical trauma. The dream blurs and changes slightly. I'm now sitting on a chair. My husband is kneeling in front of me. Time has passed, but not much. Our daughter is nowhere to be seen. I look at my husband. I say "I don't know how I can face her..." referring to our daughter.
Then I wake up.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, I need help interpreting this, because I'm at an absolute loss. I know I need to take a break from watching true crime/horror stories on YouTube for awhile (I was/am fascinated by cold cases and serial killers and the like, but had already been stepping back from that content to give my mind a break, the most "violent" media ice consumed in the last week is Hollow Knight and The Rocky Horror Picture Show...)
I've honestly never been more relieved to wake up from a nightmare, though, I'll tell you that...
