A wilderness in a dream can symbolize being in an unfamiliar place or situation in your life. It can mean you’re unsure about what to do and which direction to go. You feel lost or are searching for something. You are experiencing hardship.

A wilderness or jungle is a place where it’s easy to get lost. There are few roads or paths to follow. As symbolism, wilderness can express the feeling that you don’t know where you are going in your life, or don’t know how to reach a goal. See: Lost

Some people are at home in the wilderness. They want the freedom to do things their own way. In this sense, a wilderness can symbolize getting back to nature, or experiencing new freedom. See: The earth

A wilderness can symbolize your wild side or a wild situation. It can mean “uncontrollable.”

The jungle is commonly perceived as a place that is wild and uncivilized. You can dream about a jungle setting when in a situation where the normal rules of society don’t apply. The “law of the jungle” means that the strongest survive, and it can be used as symbolism for situations where you are in a sort of “winner-take-all” competition and the participants use any tactic to get ahead. For example, a jungle could be used as a setting in a dream about the brutal competition to get ahead at work, or to make a business deal or win someone’s affection or attention.

Dream of facing an entity outside of reality which challenged me to gaze into its eyes

There is complete darkness. Like in space there is no orientation. I'm just floating there. I look down, my body looks ethereal and does emit a slight glow. A distant light can be seen.

It's coming closer. It's a face. A humanoid looking face/head w/o a body. Its eyes is liquid living darkness - so black that even the darkness everywhere seems lighter. I notice that the light radiating from it - comes from behind its eyes.

The eyes are like black holes with a sun behind it. So it appears like the eyes are black suns. Or black holes emitting a radiant glowing light.

There is no talking or sound. It just lets me KNOW what it wants to say to me. It lets me KNOW that to gain what I seek - I must peer into it.

(As for what I seek I'm obsessed with the hidden truths of human history, ancient lost civilizations and lots of mythological stories. I'm not religious. I simply would give anything IRL to look back in time).

So I look into its eyes. Gazing into the darkness. Suddenly I gain a sense of moving at a tremendous speed. But when noticing my surroundings we seem to be still. A malevolent energy surges through me and in the dream I try to look away. It's like my dream avatar is someone else - and I'm (IRL ME) trying to wrestle / possess this entity in order to gaze at this thing to get the knowledge I seek.

I (IRL me) win - and I manage to FORCE the body / avatar or w/e I'm in to gaze deeply into the voids of the black eyes. I get a sense of malevolence and movement again.

I first think it isn't working. But then I feel like sorrow of a mother that lost her child, the happiness of a man finding fresh water in the wilderness. The excitement of an explorer on a ship. I'm experiencing hundreds of emotions as if I'm "learning" the entire emotional spectrum.

I feel like I'm going deeper and deeper. As if I'm penetrating thousands of layers on an infinite onion. What **I** want of knowledge is in this entity, if only I can dig deep enough. So here's the strangeness of it. I feel like I'm absorbing knowledge. Forbidden knowledge. Not just a little - vast amounts of it. I feel more and more drained, and it takes more and more effort to keep gazing at it. I'm getting crazy amounts of knowledge but it's like... encrypted. As in - my IRL organism/brain and/or my spirit form thing here - does not have the senses needed to read the knowledge. Like a blind man trying to learn something about WW2 by watching a movie.

Suddenly I'm violently ripped away by something. I wake up on a train station somewhere. Inside a red building. There's a big briefcase of luggage on the ground. I think it's mine. This feels like a memory I'm watching. I look at the under side of my left arm. There is a metal piercing that pierces through my skin. And it's bleeding. When I try to orient myself I notice that the people in the train station around me seem to shift in and out of existence.

Outside the windows are the stars. So the trainstation seem to be in space somehow. This is when I wake up. I wake up to the sound of me shouting my own name out loud IRL.

It was really fucking unsettling waking up. Say my name is Billy. Imagine waking up to the sound of yourself shouting "BILLY!!!" and you only regain full control of your consciousness AFTER you catch yourself screaming out your real name. I awoke screaming my name out - without CONSCIOUSLY wanting to or being aware. I just... like... "Re-enter" my own mind after my body has shouted out my name.

---

Good luck to anyone trying to interpret this. I certainly can't make sense of it and I didn't even get the knowledge I wanted. No secrets of ancient human history, hidden artifacts or locations of interest. I gazed into these "living eyes" of pure liquid black and I felt like I was obtaining vast amounts of occult knowledge. But when I woke - it was all gone. Or as I felt in the dream - I simply couldn't interpret the knowledge due to some missing senses required to "decrypt" it.

There is complete darkness. Like in space there is no orientation. I'm just floating there. I look down, my body looks ethereal and does emit a slight glow. A...

I had the weirdest dream turned nightmare last night and feel like writing it down for others to see will help me get over it

This is probably going to be short and make no sense since I only remember some of it.

Me and some people were in the wilderness looking for a way back to town. It wasn’t scary or anything. The sun was out and we were just sort of meandering around to find the right road.

Then, out of nowhere, I see this nutty guy who I never took to be dangerous pulling some sort of cord out through the woods. He started offering the spool of wire to me, but I turned it down.

One of the other people with me took it, and I could tell something was off. Then, there was a boom and what looked like a tiny mushroom cloud in the distance. I said “huh...what are you blowing up?” and a freaking manic look appeared on his face.

As I soon discovered, the mushroom cloud was not small, but in fact, far away. The man had detonated a nuclear weapon of some kind, and it wasn’t long before the blast reached us. At first I just heard a sort of ringing sound like if you have tinnitus, but then things got really bright as I was lifted off the ground. There was a much louder boom, and I guess I died.

The next thing I saw was some kind of slideshow thing of vaguely recognizable people catching fire and melting away. It was pretty freaking scary, and I woke up sweating. I have always been kinda scared of nukes, but I’m not genuinely worried about them. If anyone’s got any ideas about this dream, please tell me what you think.

It started out so tame, like me and a bunch of friends I’ve never heard of were hunting ghosts on a football field in broad daylight and it was really fun, but then stuff started creeping it to make it less enjoyable. I ended up in a very dark classroom where I was supposedly doing college English, a class I’m taking when school starts back, and then on my way out of the school, that’s when the whole getting lost in the not scary woods before being nuked by the crazy man thing happened.

This is probably going to be short and make no sense since I only remember some of it.

Choking a snake

I had a dream last night that I was exploring the wilderness. I began to climb a tree and discovered there was a snake perched in it. It began to attack me and speak to me in my mind, telling me it would kill me. I got onto the ground and managed to grab it behind it’s head. I knew that if I let go it would kill me and that I had to kill it. I looked around and saw that there were hundreds of birds on the ground it had killed. It hadn’t even eaten them, it had just killed them for fun. I began to choke the snake as I saw no other option. There was a stream nearby but I thought drowning it would be too violent. I think it’s inportant to note that I felt absolutely horrible while killing the snake. I didn’t want to kill it. But I knew it would kill me. After a while of choking the snake I ended up in an area around the stream and there were tons of animals of all kinds gathered around it to drink. Bears, boars, elephants, hippos, dogs, etc. I couldn’t bring myself to kill the snake so I threw it on the ground in front of them knowing it was too weak to escape. I told them the snake was theirs to judge knowing that they would decide what to do with it. Then I left and my dream ended.

Dreamt of a afterlife (horrible gammer warning)

Before I post anything I will warn: I typed this delirious with blurry eyes as soon as I woke up lmao. So there are 100% grammer issues and sentences are fucked up. But this was a summary of my dream of an afterlife.

--
It was afterlife. Everyone would be punished for their sins in life but excruciatingly slow. The person I knew was a serial killer but was kind as can be. He wasnt like he was in life but that doesnt excuse his life behaviors. His throat had a cut and everyday it would get bigger and bigger and he bled more and more.

Me and a girl where lost in tunnels. The afterlife was strange. Some areas had open skies, wilderness, other had hallways, and tunnels, it changed constantly. It was like a huge area filled with pocket dimensions set for each group or person we could willingly go thru

The woman i was with was desperate to find the key to heal herself. She recommended they go through a a side tunnel they where in. She and her buddy went first, but before I could, my friend the killer stopped me. He pointed below me. He said I've heard rumors of a drop under this padding. We struggled to lift it and suprising there was a giant hole in the floor. As we raised the carpet mat higher light filled the tunnel revealing cats. As I go to drop down I stop myself and pull back. All of the cats had mange and looked terrifying. We closed the mat. We go through many 'rooms and areas and found no clue. We asked servant like people. And friends amd nothing. His wounds grew too great so he couldn't go any further. His neck was slowly splitting and he grew delirious with pain.

I slugged through the group of people amd something caught my eye. A man was knocking on a tree and the tree opened to reveal a looming woman that was covered in leaves. Her body barely showed beneath. He was asking how to save themselves as well. I overheard what they said.

I looked at the fake image of a tree on the wall and reached forward to one of the leaves. It was a paper leaf small about the size of a.quarter. green was drawn inside as if a child cut and created it. I walked forward tot he book laying open and swiped the leaf in the book and it shined. Suddenly my wounds stopped bleeding and my body cleansed itself. Water and vines wrapped themselves around me limbs amd halfway mentled. into my skin.

I was ecstatic to e healed and find the secret. I raced off to find the previous woman in a tunnel with a servant who had a sword in his hand. They where being attacked by small monsters using my vines i killed them quickly. The other woman didnt recognize me. I gathered a small amount of water and sent it toward the woman. She
flinched as the water entered her ear. A voice rang through the other girls head. "I found the secret." And the water left out the other ear. The woman was shocked and lunged forward to hug and cry into my shoulder. They went to the Tree and the woman healed herself.

I finally raced back to the wilderness room and found my friend. He was near death. I shoved a paper leaf into his hands and raced him towards the book. He swiped the leaf weakly and began healing. He cried and we cried in each others arms. I was so happy to see him healed

We raced and spread word. The leaves on the tree never seemed to end. People continued to heal and repent.

The World Was Ending

I just woke up from a dream where the world was going to end by a bunch of storms all happening at once, with a meteor eventually coming down to seal the deal. I remember being a in a large Victorian house with all of my family members there. Everyone was calm and, accepting with what was about to happen and, I felt the same way too. It's as if we knew this was going to happen weeks prior to the day in my dream.

I spoke to a large majority of people in my family in my dream and, all of our conversations were almost the same. The most vivid interactions I had were where I hugged my grandmother jokingly wishing I could've lived a little longer to see what my future held for me and, where I was driving to a lodge out in the middle of the wilderness. I then met all my coworkers there and was saying my final goodbyes.

As we could all see the meteor come down from the sky we were all saying our goodbyes and enjoying a meal and then I just woke up. Strangest dream I've ever had in my life so far.

I just woke up from a dream where the world was going to end by a bunch of storms all happening at once, with a meteor eventually coming down to seal the deal....
