What are possible meanings for dreams of forests?
When you feel lost in the personal sense and are trying to find your way, a forest is a natural choice as a setting to tell the story. Why? Because people get lost in forests, and the imagery is appropriate because tall trees and foliage block your line of sight. Moreover, a forest path can symbolize the path you’re on in life, an analogy that can be stretched many ways.
For example, wandering off a forest path and getting lost can mean trying to do something your own way and getting lost. A path disappearing can symbolize wrong directions or bad advice to get somewhere you were trying to go in your life. A path splitting can symbolize the proverbial fork in the road.
Usually in dreams that use a forest to symbolize being lost in the personal sense, being physically lost will be a theme. Or think in more general terms of feeling your way through something where the way forward isn’t clear. It could be an external situation, such as figuring out the best path in your career, or an internal situation, such as figuring out the sort of person you want to be.
Another possibility for the symbolism of a forest is related to the symbolism of trees. See: Trees
A city full of skyscrapers is comparable to a forest of towering trees. An urban area is often referred to as a “jungle,” so a lot of trees together can symbolize a city. See: Cities
In the dreams of children, being in a forest full of tall trees can represent how they feel in comparison with adults, who look like giants from a child’s perspective. Also, families are referred to as trees, so being in a forest can symbolize being a member of a big family.

Anyone up for a dream analysis?
Anyone up for a dream analysis? Alrighty so my dream begun when I lived in a house that was on like a really high mountain, and I was able to see a beautiful forest. Anyways there was this woman who was in charge of everything and was manipulating everyone, which caused me to dream (in my dream) that I died. Like I walked to the side of the house, which was of glass, and jumped. I then saw like if I was watching a movie when a tree went through me and I died after a few seconds of panicking. Then I woke up, and I tried to ask for help from the two closest people in my life, and although one tried, they were unable to help. One of them even took my fear like a grain of salt. And I was terrified because I knew that the death U had dreamt was going to happen. Like I was so certain the woman was going to push me off when I least expected it. It overall made me feel really helpless. When I woke up I still felt helpess.

I’m going to try to write my best explanation, I hope in some way you can relate to this kind of, Feeling like you’ve experienced a dream before, perhaps as far as 2 months ago, in the same “dream location” as the dream you only just had last night. Perhaps this dream location is a familiar town, completely abstract from any town in your waking life, yet so familiar to this “Dream You” Or that forest seemingly dreamt in every other week in some different way.
the first location the forest, this forest is large, it is the exact same forest it was in the dream 2 weeks prior, the same paths, the same rivers and streams, I’m just walking a different direction in last nights dream as compared with when I was here in a dream weeks or days past.
Also if, and I hope some of you experience this too, please feel welcome to express yourselves over at r/DreamCartography

Pet white tiger
I (22f) had the most vivid dream last night that I havent been able to shake all day. I feel like it probably has some sort of bigger than me meaning ( not that I know what it is)
In my dream, there was an enormous beautiful white tiger living with me. I was afraid of it even though throughout the entire dream it never seemed to be a threat to me.
Two things the tiger did that really stayed with me after the dream were
1: licked the entirety of my arm, and it felt just like a cat tongue but huge, causing my arm to hurt (think sandpaper)
2: leapt off of my second story porch and into the forest almost appearing to fly before running to the front of the house and back through the front door.
Also in the dream at one point I remember trying to lock myself into a cage to keep it away from me (while my partner and brother laughed and asked why I was afraid of my pet)
.
.
I've never had a dream as intense as this and just needed to tell somebody.
.
Also if you have an idea of what it may represent, im all ears.

Had a fucked up dream about multiverse selves.
There was this guy who was my boyfriend and we both were driving to my parents house in a heavy forested area across a very deep bridge.
And then idk what happens but in the next scene I kicked him out of the car and he gets out and I drive off.
Then he somehow falls to the side of the road on the grass and is bleeding from his head and me from some multiverse comes to him and tries to save him by combing his hair with this healing comb. He heals but his eyes start bleeding and he’s crying so I get really scared but at that exact moment I see myself driving with the guy in the car and me kicking him out of the car replaying again.
I go to the boyfriend who got kicked out and tell him let’s go while the hurt boyfriend is lying on the roadside crying.
Then we both go to the bridge we came from and see my other self standing on the edge of the bridge about to fall. But then I take a step back and go inside the forested. Then somehow I think I jump again and see myself living in this small cottage by that bridge in a town and I play violin for a living. I had taken the hurt blind boyfriend from the side of the road and was living with him. My other self is watching him through the window when he comes to the window stares in my direction and closes the curtains.
At this point I woke up. Then I slept back after few minutes. The dream just continues !?
There’s snow everywhere and the blind boyfriend and other me teach kids in an orphanage on a mountain for a living. But then me and boyfriend from another parellel universe come to kill the boyfriend and me from the orphanage world. I’m on the way to the bathroom I notice these weird strange ominous red patterns on the floor that are leading me to it. The guard comes to my rescue and asks me to go away from there. I start to look around for my boyfriend but I can’t find him so I keep running through thick snow outside the gate and just keep running.
At this point I woke up but WTH this is such a weird dream I’ve never dreamt anything like this. Right now also I woke up worried about if the boyfriend was fine since I didn’t see him anywhere when I was running away..

Skeleton at a Crossroads
Ever since I was around the age of five I’ve had this reoccurring nightmare where I wake up on a dirt road more specifically always coming to realization I’m at a crossroads surrounded by foggy fields and a tree line I can barely see. I don’t ever understand how or when the skeleton appears but I know when he’s there. I feel an overcoming sense of dread and fear. He never speaks he just stares at me, and eventually I’m running away and he’s chasing me. On other occasions I’ve been able to run into a forest and hide and wake up then in others my late grandfather had been in one before and in another after he passed.
I have no idea how or why I get this dream or what it means but I need advice on how to fix it? It’s been plaguing my mind a lot recently and I’m very curious and kind of scared to get anyone’s interpretations.
I’ve read before that skeletons can represent death and I’ve heard that crossroads mean I’m about to have to make a decision but I honestly believe it’s something bigger or more sinister....
If anyone has any thoughts or advice I’m open ears
