What are possible meanings for dreams of altars?

Altars are associated with sacrifice, especially personal sacrifice. For example, sacrificing time with family in order to get ahead at work. Such a dream might show you sacrificing your children on an altar.

Altars are associated with beliefs. For example, dreaming about sacrificing your spouse on an altar can symbolize breaking with that person on a matter of personal belief and possibly sacrificing the relationship.

Altars are associated with religious ritual and practice. Defending an altar from attack can symbolize defending your religious faith from doubt or derogatory comments.

Extend the idea beyond religion, and an altar can symbolize spirituality, ideals, and things you hold sacred.

An altar can connect with topics related to social status and maturity, symbolism created by the association between an altar and a place where people are given public attention and special occasions happen. Rituals such as baptisms and weddings are performed at altars. At an altar, faith is strengthened, the divine is sought, and vows are offered. Dreams can cross-reference and draw parallels with any of those subjects and use them to make comparisons.

For example, a woman who finds out that her husband is having an affair dreams about black magic being performed at an altar, symbolizing her perception that her marriage has turned dark.

Praying at an altar is associated with seeking miracles and divine intervention.

Altars are associated with the communities that worship around them and can sum up in one image everything about those communities and the dreamer’s place within them.

Can anyone interpret my dream. LEGIT dream I had and I wanna know what it means

I dreamt that one day some friends and I were at an abandoned house and everything was dark and messy. As we were leaving i look on the ground and find a statue of a female Saint on the floor. I told all my friends to go on ahead without me and I lifted the statue off the floor. I look around and I placed the Saint statue on an altar that was surrounded by unlit candles. As I stood there in the dark I tried to turn on the candles. I had some matches but they wouldn't catch on fire. As I failed more and more I began to worship and pray saying things like "thank you for everything you've done for me" and etc. when eventually the match caught fire. With the match now on fire i lit up the first candle and then the match died. As I prayed more I was able to turn on more candles but as I was about to turn on the last 10th candle I was woken up.

Note : I have not seen any matches in a long time, I am not a smoker of any sort, and don't know why they made it into my dream.

Note: My mother said she had a nightmare days before my dream. Idk

BTW I also posted this text on the Dream subreddit group chat to see more responses.

A dream I had written down, found on an old computer

I booted up an old laptop and found a little doc where I wrote down a dream I had one night. It's a little strange, but I feel like there's a message in there somewhere.

"I woke up, and I'm standing in front of a large portrait of the solar system. My mother is beside me, and my grandmother is just in the other room. This place is a shrine to my mentor, who taught me all I know. She died long ago, and I was the one to lay the blade to her heart.

I still loved her; it's why I visit this place whenever I can. She was like a second mother, a first friend, someone special. She saw something different in me, and drew that out.

I've found something. Ahead, the portrait just above her ashes (the one of the solar system) is able to be moved. Every little planet is magnetized, even the sun itself; even more, they're all out of place. I take them out, and begin to view the full picture. There are diagrams upon diagrams of different orbit patterns and specificalities, but I'm able to slowly work my way across, starting at the center, and working my way, all the way down to pluto.

But... it's not enough. Nothing is happening. I thought something would happen! This wasn't just meant to be some sort of midday entertainment--not when my mentor was involved.

There were two slots, ones that I hadn't seen before. Ones that had never been filled before, in fact. In the room, I searched for a good, long while, and I couldn't find anything to fit the certain shape of the outline, on the portrait. Eventually, I found what I was looking for, among my own possessions: It was my very own brazier, a not-quite-to-scale version of one, anyway. My mentor had handcrafted it; forged it with her own two hands.

There was only one other, and it held her ashes.

I'm aware now of what I have to do. I take the brazier with all my solemn sadness and shove it into the portrait. It makes a small click. Then, after staring at the brazier that was my mentor, what held her, I took it and shoved it in, too. Another click.

The portrait would quickly shift, after that. It began opening up to a secret compartment, one that held a small hatch to somewhere lower. The commotion from it all attracted everyone nearby--my mother, grandmother, and eventually, my grandfather. He ran in and opened the hatch, like he was an extension of me, who had to know what was within. Next came my mother, and then my grandmother.

But I...

I just stood there. Hesitant. Facing my past, my transgressions."

Nosebleed at a wedding?

Just dreamt I was a bridesmaid at a wedding (I don’t know who was getting married, it never got that far). I was standing near the altar waiting for the wedding to begin when all of a sudden copious amount of blood start to flow out of my nose. I found a rest room to stop the bleeding and clean myself off but it wasn’t letting up. I looked in a mirror and was shocked to see that my right eye was full of blood as well. Then I woke up. I’ve never had a dream like that before. Any thoughts?

I sacrificed a young boy to a power represented by three crows last night

So I don’t remember the first part of this dream but I came up to a rocky coast with this boy I was protecting. My son in a way but not my son. I took him to this dark hole with water in it and I put him inside and put a rock on top. I could see through the rock and he changed into a fetus and then back to as big as he was before looking up at me. He asked me not to do it, I wasn’t even sure what the driving force behind my actions was, like a ritual, so I just watched. Once he was sucked into the water I walked over to an altar where three crows rose up.
That was the end of the dream.
Any ideas on what it means? Good omen or bad omen?
