What are possible meanings for dreams of brides?
Begin with the fact that most dream characters represent something about you. They’re projections. Unless the dream is literal, such as if you really are getting married or thinking about what you want in a bride or your marriage, the bride in your dream is likely to represent something about yourself. And if that’s the case, consider what it means to “marry” yourself.
It means “unite.” Or bond. Or commit. Or love. Or integrate. The long-term goal of dreaming is to unite the conscious mind with the unconscious. Your dreaming mind can present an aspect of yourself as a bride in order to facilitate a union or stronger connection. The love you feel for your dream bride is actually love for yourself, or the potential for it.
The end product of a man’s successful psychological development is referred to as “marriage of the soul,” where his unconscious mind is presented as the ultimate bride. The union of his conscious mind with his unconscious mind makes him truly complete. See: Animas
A bride can symbolize integration of traditionally feminine traits. It can show development of these traits in yourself.
Jesus of the Bible is referred to as the bridegroom, and his followers as his bride. It’s a way of expressing the depth of the spiritual relationship and desire for transcendent experience.
The dreaming mind can create clever symbolism from other associations with brides. For example, attraction to a bride can be used symbolically to refer to an attractive idea or prospect. See: Beauty
On the other hand, other associations can come into play, like “bridezilla,” and the high costs of a ring and wedding. See: Walls, Weddings
A bride can be a characterization of a relationship such as a “work wife,” a woman who works close-and-personal with you on the job.
Or the partnership can be between aspects of yourself, such as when your intellect teams up with your will, or your heart teams up with your head.
Run with the idea of commitment and it can apply being committed to a cause or “married to your work.” See: Weddings
A bride in a happy dream can symbolize a good union or partnership, including a partnership within you, or just express happy feelings. It can symbolize a wanted pregnancy.
A bride in an unhappy dream can symbolize a bad union. Relations lack harmony. Feelings are sour. It can symbolize an unwanted pregnancy.
Dreaming that your girlfriend is your bride can express a wish to marry her, or reflect thoughts about it. The dream might depict her in that role as a way of testing the water. In this way, a dream is a simulation to help you sort out thoughts and feelings.
Likewise, a female seeing herself in a dream as a bride can express the wish for marriage. She tests the water, either in connection with a current relationship, or just to get comfortable with the idea. See: Weddings
Just before her wedding day, a woman dreams about herself as a bride at the altar, in a chapel packed with friends and family. Suddenly, her ex-boyfriend barges in and declares his intention to rescue her. This dream is helping her realize she doesn’t really want to marry the man she is about to marry, and she secretly wishes to be rescued from making a terrible mistake.
Mothers and wives and other very close female figures can be depicted as a bride. In some way it’s an accurate portrayal of the mother-child or spousal relationship. See: Mothers

A wedding but with more knife's?
I once had a dream where I was at a wedding but then the groom and the bride killed each other and then everybody else at the wedding pulled out knifes and started fighting each other and it was lit as fuck.
It was my most weirdest, but most exciting dream I ever had in my fucking life as it was like battle royal but with knifes only.
I dont know who won though but it ain't me

Marrying my brother?!
So I just had a dream about a huge wedding ceremony (which I am currently planning with my partner) and everything was quite weird.
Firstly, it felt like I was marrying my partner, but when i think about what he looked like it was my brother...
Secondly, for some reason I was holding a huge pirate sword but it was made out of clear plastic or maybe plexi glass. My new husband had a very strange corresponding thing (some sort of box in the same material but it had an open slit on one of the edges. It was also filled with gold cardboard or something). We had a show after the wedding where I would throw the sword behind my back and he would catch it in the box thing....... Wtf???
Thirdly, I was suddenly not myself anymore but a guest in the crowd overhearing other guests talk about where the baby might be and that it was only a few weeks since the birth and that I (the bride) was waaaay too tiny. The discussion was quite gossipy and many people where chiming in with the information. I don't have children irl.
So any ideas what's going on in my head?

I am at the altar about to get married
I am at the altar about to get married. I am aware of what I am about to do and that I am meant to I am about to, but I don’t know to who l or why.
As I’m standing there I’m questioning what is going on. Then as the bride walks up everything become a blur. I don’t remember her walking up, exchanging vowels, saying ‘I do’, sharing the kiss... nothing.
After the ceremony I’m with my family in some fancy hotel getting ready for something (I assume the reception) just wondering what the fuck is happening, but every time I consider saying something I end up keeping it to myself because everyone is so happy for me.
I then turn to my sister who is helping me get ready and say, “I don’t know what is happening, the whole church was a blur, I don’t remember any details at all other than just being there.” She feels weird about what I am saying, but just thinks that I was overwhelmed by the occasion. I’m like no- I seriously feel like I was drugged or something. She gets concerned but thinks I’m being a bit weird and leaves it there.
Skip to the next scene and I arrive at the bride family’s house. They’re having a barbecue and their whole front yard is pumping with people.
The Dad meets me at the door accompanied by his son (the son is someone I recognise from my school days, whereas I don’t know the dad to be a real life person. The son says and does nothing, I just recall him for that moment).
The Dad then states that my wife will be out in a couple of minutes. He doesn’t say her name and I honestly don’t even know what it is.
As the conversation goes he says that he is happy for us and that he can see how in love we are, but thinks that 2 weeks was a bit quick to get married. I was shocked when I heard 2 weeks.
From that statement I noticed that the Dad was sceptical, so I confessed to him that I honestly don’t even remember the wedding day and haven’t felt really present in the relationship at all. I then said to him that I think I’ve been drugged. He looked concerned but believed me.
My wife/his daughter appears excited to see me and we go towards the front fence of the house where we sit together. She sits on my lap facing me and we start kissing somewhat inappropriately, but maybe excusable for a newly married couple. It seems normal to everyone although I find her initiating this awkward because I had so many questions.
While kissing I see over her left shoulder the Dad holding up a box of tablets. It then clicks that she has indeed been drugging me the whole time. In that moment she then tries to slide a tiny pill into my mouth while we’re kissing, but this time I am aware of it. Because of the way she’s positioned on me I pretend to slip and drop her to fake a sneeze so that I can spit the tablet out.
She thinks I’ve swallowed it despite me failing to spit it out, and the kissing resumes. I then try and transfer the tablet to her in the process because I can feel it dissolving. All of a sudden I feel her begin to be more and more aggressive and at this point I can feel that we’ve both been affected by the pill. At this point we’re being openly sexual in front of everyone and that it is now publicity inappropriately (clothes stay on). The Dad knows I’ve been drugged again but cannot do anything about it, so we’re just being aggressively sexual to each other.
The dream ends with the picture of us being on the sidewalk with everyone standing around us just thinking what the fuck.

Dreamt about being a bride? (I’ve recently broken up.)What does it mean?
I and my boyfriend broke up few days ago, he proposed to me in the month of feb and now he says he is unsure about me. Anyway I was just building context to get a better understanding of my dream.
I see myself getting dressed the way I have always imagined myself. But my makeup is incomplete which is weird and I can see am not looking pretty. I am disappointed that on my wedding day am looking so bad. And I see that am alone, getting ready. I call my sister and mother who are in a parlour which is weird as they’re very close to me and very supportive. Ideally they should’ve been there. And am upset because am scared of getting married. Then my mom comes and sits beside me and as she’s doing my make up, I’m crying that am scared(like a small kid) and she’s just smiling and saying it’ll be okay. Am also realising that after marriage my home won’t be my home I’ll move to a different place and it is scaring me even more. Then I realise I don’t know who my groom is. It is causing me anxiety. Then I call my school best friend and ask him if he will marry me and he’s more than happy to get married to me. But I’m still scared, not because of being with him but because of the concept of marriage and leaving my home behind. I can see my dad upset that I’ll be leaving home, he is just watching me but not saying anything.
I didn’t see myself getting married but I was shit scared of marriage.
Can anyone tell me what this could mean?

A Corpse Bride Warned Me Not to Eat the Sacramental Bread
I was in a church made of gold. Everything is pure gold. I was in a long and wide hallway, aimlessly walking straight. I passed by a small cemetery where dead priests are "buried" behind the right wall. Their gravestones are attached to the wall in nice rows and columns. As I passed through them, a grey image of the Virgin Mary flashed in front of me..it kept flickering and radiating swirling rays of grey light until the wall behind the apparition started shaking. Then I heard a female voice asking for help behind that wall. It was an unfamiliar language but at that time I understood she was asking for help. Seconds later a bride emerged from it. Her skin was..grey..bruised.. And some parts were rotten. Her wedding dress was shriveled and disintegrated. She held a rose..with a long stem full of thorns..she held it out to me and said in Tagalog **"Sa ostia huwag kakagat, mapuputulan ng ugat"** The sentence even rhymed and the lines have the same syllables which made it poetic. Here is what it means in English - ostia=the holy bread, huwag= don't, kakagat= to bite, mapuputulan =to cut, ugat=vein, so in a complete sentence (though it's gonna lose the rhyme and meter) **Don't eat/bite into the sacramental bread or you'll die(vein gets cut).**
I apologize for my choice of words, I am not a native to the English language. But I hope I could get some help with interpreting the dream. Thanks. :)
