What are possible meanings for dreams of owls?

The “wise owl” is a popular image, and in dreams it can represent you or an aspect of yourself connected with knowledge and learning.

The owl’s presence can be a way of saying, “This dream is related to learning something or gaining knowledge.” Or you are trying to think deeply about a situation. You’re pondering, pensive.

It can symbolize the feeling of being watched from the shadows.

However, the symbolism can go much deeper. Unlike most birds, owls are nocturnal. That their night vision is unmatched creates a strong association with intuition and hunch. They connect with the parts of yourself that are in the dark of the unconscious mind. They act as intermediaries to help you tap into your instinctive wisdom, especially in regard to protecting and rearing children and trusting your intuition.

They help you see what is hidden—especially what’s hidden about yourself.

In this sense, owls are like crows. They help bring your hidden potential to the awareness of the conscious mind. They initiate you into the mysteries of life and death. See: Crowds

The owl can symbolize something within you that helps you find your way when you’re not sure where you’re going, that is stealthy and aware, that can navigate dark environments without much information or guidance.

A white owl is known to be a good omen in dreams. It can mean that the time is right to move ahead with something you’ve been planning or thinking about. You have the internal resources you need.

Dream about a baby owl and a baby rabbit.

So my dream started off with me in a parking lot. I didn’t feel like I was alone I felt the presence of someone but I couldn’t see them. The parking lot was surrounded but forest. It was a foggy day so it was grey. Then suddenly I open my arms like I’m about to give someone a hug. Then a baby owl lands on my right arm. It was white on the outside it was a little brown. Then it flew away. My arms stayed the same and the baby owl cam back and landed on my left arm. Then it left and didn’t come back. Then suddenly it’s like my eyes were cameras and I zoom into this baby rabbit. It was also white with really big black eyes. Then I woke up and then I had another dream with more animals in it. Ill probably write that one another time cause that one is kind of long. But the animals that were in that dream were a bison, deer, and some other distorted animal I couldn’t make out what it was. But if anyone can interpret that, that would be cool. Thanks to anyone that replies.😊😊😊

So my dream started off with me in a parking lot. I didn’t feel like I was alone I felt the presence of someone but I couldn’t see them. The parking lot was...

Help me solve this riddle from last night’s dream

I am a vivid, linear dreamer who suffers regularly from hypnagogia, sleep paralysis, and night terrors.

Last night, I had a long, linear dream that mirrored an epic/fantasy. I was on a fantastic/strange continent across which I traversed to solve a riddle. At the base of the mountain, I found a relief in a mound of rocks with a treasure box. Inside was a scroll of parchment. When I unrolled it, these are the words I found:

_________ are the map...
_________ is the key.

Solve the riddle, and you will be rewarded your greatest wish and the influence over 1000 suns.”

Along with a companion, I traveled many landscapes, met many fantastical persons and creatures, as I attempted to fill in the blanks within the riddle. In a forest of twisted/gnarled trees, in an owl’s hole at the heart of a grand old oak, I found an object that was a puzzle that needed to be solved, like a rubik’s cube but made of stone and fewer columns to align.

When I solved the puzzle, the stone crumbled to dust. Inside was a femur bone around which was wrapped another scroll of parchment. It said:

“Skeletons are the map...
_________ is the key.”

After more journeying with my mysterious companion, I discovered another puzzle on which was written the final missing word to the riddle. I felt a grand oneness, because the whole riddle together made perfect sense, and I knew exactly where to go to achieve my goal.

Sadly, I woke, and I could not remember the word that filled the final blank, and the oneness I felt from the solution entirely fell apart. It has been haunting my waken self ever since.

“Skeletons are the map...”
What is the key?!

Any thoughts or insights?

Dogs and Owls

I dreamed that huge black dogs that were partially made out of smoke were jumping at 2 owls who did not seem to care. The dogs didnt hurt the owls but they were trying to sniff them and play. The owls just stared at me for what seemed like hours until I woke up.

Owls and room full of clocks (SP experience)

Okay so this event happened about 5 years ago and I'm doing this post because following this SP I've been terrified of owls and it actually sort of effects my life and I can't get over it.

So I'm not someone who has SPs, I've had one in my whole entire life so it isn't something I live with, it was one experience.

I was 15 and I was having this very livid dream of myself looking into a dark old looking room of clocks, all kinds of clocks everywhere on the ceiling, on every inch of the wall, some on the floor and I felt like something was looking at me and I felt scared, so I looked to my right and there perched on a big coo coo clock was a white owls just staring at me, not moving and the whole room exploded with chimes from every single one of the clocks right when our eyes connect to each other and it wakes me up.

When I wake up I can't move any part of my body, I can't move my head and I'm laying on my back with my hands on my side, my hands laying flat against the mattress, which is very rare for me I never fall asleep on my back or wake up on my back I ALWAYS sleep on my side. So I start freaking out and I start looking around my room. To give a little layout of my room, my parents had built me a loft for my bed so the loft cuts halfway through my bedroom and is protected by a black gate so I don't roll off. So I'm scanning my loft area and there on the right, looking at me, is this whiteowlsl perched in the same way as in my dream on one of the posts of my gate and just starring at me and I had this feeling like it was because of thowlswl that I can't move. I try to scream but my throat locks and nothing can come out and I just feel tears running down my cheeks as I watch thowlsowl look at me. For me it seems like hours pass I'm scared I'm cold because I have no blankets on me and I just want this to stop and I keep repeating wake up wake up, because normally when I have a livid dream (not a SP just a dream where I realize its a dream) I can wake myself up by saying wake up its a dream, but it doesn't work.

Finally I wake out of it and I just run out of my room wake up my parents, I'm so scared and they just tell me it was probably a SP and that everything's fine, but my dad goes and checks anyway and of course there's nothing and while he looked I felt like a burning sensation on my back and my mom looked and it looked like 5 deep cuts caused by nails all across my back, I still have scares actually and my mom just said I must have like scratched my back up with my nails while I was asleep. so I end up just staying up the rest of the night (It was like 3am on weekend morning)

After that event I googled it, trying to see if anyone else dreamedowlsowls and I saw towlsowls were like an image aliens use to block out memories of encounter and I know sound stupid and crazy but I kept that information with me and ever since the dream I'm terrifiedowlsowls. Whenever I hear one I shut my windows, close my curtains and I don't go outside that day. I get full blown PTSD over it and honestly it happens a few times per year and all my friends are like it's justowls owl get over it and they send me cute videoowls owls and everything but I really can't get over it.

As I said in the beginning I never had another SP which in some kinda way scares me more. I just want to know if other people had this experience and if it's normal for SP experiences to like physically inflict pain onto yourself.

I know some people might now believe me, but I don't want to convince someone I just want answers and to know if this is normal.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for the comments.
