What are possible meanings for dreams of princesses?

Princess can mean “next in line.”

A female who acts entitled is called a “princess.” A prom queen or pageant contestant is a sort of princess. “Princess” can be a way of describing someone who lives or acts the role.

Portrayal as a princess can characterize an entitled female or effeminate male. It can mean she has something special about her.

A princess can sum up in one image a female’s confidence, attractiveness, savvy, authority, or decisiveness.

Females learn from the queens in their lives and the strong women they observe from afar: the mothers and mother figures, heroes, idols, teachers, mentors, supervisors, and coaches who show them how it’s done. In that sense, a princess is a female learning to be a queen, and a queen, in simplest terms, is a woman with authority and power.

A princess-character can be the face of the Hero archetype, or a young version of the Queen archetype. It’s a psychological foundation for becoming fully mature and feminine, and acts as a bridge for becoming a woman who rules her life and controls her environment.

A princess-character can be a characterization of love interest, or someone put on a pedestal.

A princess is the classic image of an anima figure, the female face of the male soul—especially in the dreams of young males.

Raped

Warning: Sexual violence, body fluids

Dream: I've never had a dream like this before and it hasn't happened to me in real life, but I dreamed I was raped and then 1 or 2 men tried to get their semen onto my body (skin). For some reason, I wasn't as traumatized as I would have been if I did not try to fight back. I felt shocked that such a thing happened, that I would end up in such a situation where such a frightening thing happened.

For context: I've always been hesitant or afraid of dating men, actually dating in general, even though I have dated 2 men in my life, because of the possible danger they represent, my dad always telling me and my sisters growing up that "boys are dangerous" and I think it was a warning to not get pregnant or something. In my last relationship, my ex tried to pressure me to sleep with him but I said no, because we only knew each other for a few months and didn't really know each other, and that's also not what I wanted - I felt like I was going to just be used if I gave in. Eventually we broke up, he dumped me because I wasn't willing to sleep with him, what I wanted was a genuine relationship in which we could get to know each other but I just felt like I would be someone that would be pumped and dumped so I said no.

I don't know if this dream was caused by the stuff I was watching last night, I was watching the first episode of Myths and Monsters on Netflix, where they talk about the hero's journey and where in an old slavic tale, Ivan has to rescue his wife, the princess, from the monster/tyrannical male figure. I was also reading some passages from Robert Johnson's "She" and Marie von Franz's book on feminine psychology in fairytales and some of these talked about how the most prettiest girl would often be still single because others looked at her as a goddess instead of as a human, and in the story of Psyche, that her arranged marriage to Death would be that she would suffer the worst fate of all. When I read that, I felt that it reflected my own personal situation as well, there have been many guys who liked me and said I was pretty but I often felt they weren't interested in me as a person or they wanted to move too fast and it made me feel uncomfortable so I backed out.

I feel really stuck, I don't know if there's something wrong with my animus, or fear of the tyrannical king archetype, I don't know if I have repressed something. In my family, it's me, my mom, dad, and two sisters. And like Psyche's situation, my two sisters are already married and have kids, while I do not. It bothers me because I do want to find the person that I am a match for and I would like to have a family, but I feel like some kind of fear is blocking me from venturing out. It's very easy for my friends to say just date! But I feel like something deeper is blocking me. It could be the fact that the way my relationship ended was traumatic for me and it still continues to bother me and I can't seem to figure it out or resolve it. But definitely, something is blocking me. I'm always terrified of bringing this up to the surface and telling anyone about it, I think because I don't want to be judged or to find out that maybe it reflects something seriously wrong or bad about me. I don't want to keep silent about it anymore because I know that Jung said, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."

Anyone have ideas, from a Jungian perspective?

If anyone needs Black sees this, please help.

So I had a dream that my ex was stalking me in order to trap me on a plantation with him forever (he is NOT white but we were the only ones there) and I had tried to escape multiple times because he was talking about how he basically couldn’t live without me (He faked a whole engagement in order to bait me into coming and also talked so much mess about me that I heard from other people and I saw it online but he never named me specifically so i always just assumed that he was talking about me) every time I tried to escape I would come close to death and have to manipulate the situation to convince him that I wasn’t trying to escape or hurt him. And then as I woke up right before I was almost killed by this machine in the ground that he had built, one of Dr. Facilier's songs from princess and the frog is playing in my mind and it’s not that I’m scared because I’m the only black person that was in that relationship but I am wildly confused. So please help me figure this out.

Imprisoned in the sky, holding a snake with a lizard on either side. (34 F)

I don’t dream often, but when I do they usually have an abstract and hyper-real quality to them.
In the dream I’m in an old stone estate style building, floating in the sky. (Think sky temple from the legend of Zelda twilight princess). There’s no way down visibly, and I also know there is no way down in my mind. There’s no feelings of terror or entrapment, it’s just how I live. After exploring the building a bit, I find there are two lizards and a snake that are there with me. I pick them up and they have a specific order in my hand from L to R:lizard looking to the left, snake looking both ways, and lizard looking to the right. That’s it for the dream, some other details is that it was sunny, with some fluffy cotton ball like clouds, and I could see the earth if I looked down to it. The overall feeling is that there was a message and I needed to remember the dream exactly, I’ve never had one with reptiles in it before and would like whatever take you have on it.
Lmk if there’s something else you want to know.
Thanks in advance

I've dreamt several times about my sweet dog that passed in November but this one was different

Any insight is appreciated, thanks to anyone who reads.

I think it kind of went into the dream from another dream. I had just had a dream about a person using our bathroom in our house and she accidentally went into the 2nd bedroom which is essentially our music room and it's a big mess right now and I apologized for the mess and she just said something like "it's not messy at all"

Then I suddenly felt a shift and it was like I knew she had left. I get up and walk over the room and open it, I turned on the light but it was like their was a dark red bulb in the fixture. It looked more like a light for reptile terrarium and it was kind of hard to see.

I could tell the room was completely different, it looked like an actual bedroom with a day bed and it was super tidy from what I could see. I knew subconsciously that it wasn't our room and started to think "I'm dreaming" and went to exit the room and at that moment, I saw princess, my sweet girl who passed in November chewing on something in the middle of the floor. I went over and she was happy to see me and I was her and I started just singing her name over and over and running my fingers through her fur and then I was like "this isn't real, I need to wake up"

When I do this most the time and start trying to wake up, I get stuck and it turns into a sleep paralysis episode. I remembered that and was just like "go along with it, don't fight it" and I looked down where she was when I walked in and saw a light bulb. It was shattered and it looked like she'd been chewing on it. Princess wasn't much of a chewer anyway. She'd get in the trash now and then but never even chewed on toys so it was strange. I don't know if it means anything but it was so hard to wake up and I feel heavy. The whole thing felt strange and weird. I usually start crying when I see her and don't want to wake up and start begging her to come back with me but in this one, everything was just really weird.

Any ideas?

Dream where a fish was whispering in my ear

Weird dream. Tarot fish.
In my dream my mother had bought a house or maybe she had it but this was the first time I was in this particular house. next we were going upstairs for something and she said something about “Ariel” and she said that “Ariel” was living in her attic. I can remember thinking about a Disney princess when I was in the dream. She kept going in the attic and I was going in as well and she stopped me at some weird pillar in her attic and told me to hold on and not look but I looked and could only see my mother but she told me to hold on while she went and grabbed something and I was so exited to see “Ariel”. I was laying so that my knees were near my chest on the stairs for some reason and all of a sudden this thing like came over me who I’m guessing was “Ariel” but anyways I went its hand across my bottom and it felt like it grabbed me there and it came up to my ear and was whispering in it while like sucking on it but the thing was a fish so it had those gross fish lips. while this weird fish thing was like groping me I was trying to scream and I couldn’t and I couldn’t move. the fish was whispering in my ear but it sounded foreign. i don’t know but it was scary and it’s 5:41 am right now and i still can’t go back to bed lol
