What are possible meanings for dreams of puppies?
Dogs are companions and friends, and a puppy is something new. Put the two ideas together and a puppy can symbolize a new friendship or something that makes you feel good.
A puppy can symbolize a playful and carefree nature.
A puppy can symbolize a child, or the relationship between a parent and child. Do you follow your parent (or sibling, or best friend) around like a puppy? Is your child like a puppy—happy, enthusiastic and always on the go and at your side?
It can symbolize someone who is a follower, who trusts to the point of gullibility, who’s innocent. Think of someone described as “such a puppy.” It’s often a jaundiced way of characterizing someone who’s too eager for attention and can be exploited or mistreated.
Rescuing a puppy can symbolize trying to preserve something “puppy-like” about yourself. It’s a common theme to summarize the experience of losing childlike innocence. It can symbolize rescuing a friendship. See: Rescuing
Harming a puppy can symbolize taking advantage of innocence, or doing something reprehensible. The dream creates symbolism by making a comparison, and harming a puppy is generally considered reprehensible, something only a monster would do.
And that’s just the beginning of the possibilities, because puppy symbolism can be an offshoot of dog symbolism. See: Dogs
Also, as an animal, a puppy can connect with animal symbolism. See: Animals
A key fact about puppies that can be used as symbolism is that they’re young. To explore that idea, see: Kitten. You can go a step further and read the entry for Baby. A puppy can symbolize anything that’s new about you and your life.
Another key fact is that puppies are small, and in dream-speak that can mean easily overlooked or unimportant.
If you’ve been thinking about adopting a dog, you can dream about it as a sort of dress rehearsal or way of exploring whether it’s what you really want.

Had a dream that I HAD a dream of killing an elephant
I remember telling people in my dream that I had a dream of shooting an elephant in the head, and the bullet went through its skull. I also had a dream that I was looking for my puppy that I gave away (my 8 week old puppy died almost a year ago) and that I wanted him back. I remember crying a lot in the dream over the elephant tho. Like I felt traumatized that I killed the elephant. What can this mean?

Had a dream where dogs could talk
This was a pretty sensible dream and kinda funny too.

The dream starts with me waiting for a bus in the bus stand. I looked behind after I heard some cute puppies yelping. One was very white and the other was brown with white spots. I started petting them and asked if I could adopt them.
They told me that I had to ask their father and so I followed them. Their father was a big black dog and quite old as well. Again, I asked him if I could adopt his two kids and he said that he wanted to visit my house first.
So, I hail a cab and all 3 get in together with me. There, the father asked some basic questions about my family and my livelihood. As in he was concerned if I would be able to provide a good home for them.
Then, he asked if we had a backyard and I showed them. The two puppies immediately start sprinting and running together.
After that we were sitting on the porch and he told me how their mother had died in a car crash and he was all that's left. I asked if he could live with me too and he refused by saying that he's happy I could take them in.
At one point during the convo I asked about their names and he told me to choose good ones. Then he said that they (dogs) choose our (humans) name as well. He told me that they keep very generic names for us like 'Friend' or 'Fatty'. And after a while, he told me that one of his kids named me 'Fucker' and I asked if it was the brown one and he replied yes.
After that, he bid farewell and left while the puppies were still playing in my yard. Then I spent a few minutes thinking of some good names and I woke up.

Had a dream that I was being recovered from a suicide attempt...I’m not even suicidal
I had a dream where I was uninterested in everything in a college town. I had zero interest in what was going on, totally apathetic to the world around me.
I walked alone into the most loneliest room possible, and felt really sad, and I had somehow hurt myself.
I then see a lady crying and a guy there. The guy looked and sounded like 9S from Nier Automata, he gave me two pills, telling me: “Here are your two pills, one for diet, one for exercise. “ After I took the two white pills, he told me everything was going to be alright. He also told me I had two choices...that I could go outside and enjoy life with them or stay there and do coloring pages. I did coloring pages, and then pet a small puppy.
