What are threatening dreams about?

It was a very disturbing an elaborate dream involving politics blackmail and pedophilia.

There is this very powerful right wing politician R that bullies opposition around and is sadly very very popular. His party hold power in the equivalent of senate and the house and majority of state parliaments as well. I personally hate the politics and demeanor of R.

In my dream I saw R holding a gigantic press-conference/political rally with audience in thousands. It was like he was on a stage down in a valley and the audience was in mountains around it. Was like a football stadium kinda view but valley and mountains. Its evening and dark. R walks onto the stage with a kid and says the kid has something to reveal. R starts talking about another politician N. N is a decently well known opposition politician. I don't love N but don't dislike him either. Seems respectable to be holding fort again R and his party. N belongs to one of the few opposition held states.

Now R and the kid starts narrating how the kid was kidnapped and disappeared in and around a guest house/resort which is in the political constituency of N. The kid was thought dead but was very much alive and a captive. The kid was repeatedly abused and assaulted and raped by N and his powerful friends. To the point where the kid almost felt hopeless and started accepting his fate.

Then R starts saying saying he has video evidence. He doesn't want to show the video evidence because of its graphic nature but has made an animation of it for public screening. He plays the animation. It was extremely graphic and bloody. The black and white (sometimes colored) animation had scenes from a very narrow walled space with a flickering clay lamp with oil and cotton wick at the far end, then the kid facing the lamp and the politician N. The place was so narrow it seemed once you get in you cannot turn easily and have to back out. The floor was bloody and the kid was in pain.

It was horrible. I woke up extremely disturbed.

Clarification: The politicians are real but not US politicians or of any large country.

Last night I had a dream that I was at a furry art show and I was having so much fun and really enjoying my self. However everyone was someone I knew in high school, then I saw an old bully who used to be mean to me as a freshman. Next thing I know I was in a fursuit and they where attacking me??? I have no clue what it meant (if it even meant anything)

This happened last night. So In this dream, I had declined to get the COVID vaccine for whatever reason. Next thing I remember was being in a local grocery store looking for donuts when all of a sudden I start having trouble breathing and I’m coughing out this extremely viscous green fluid. It’s got a foamy substance but doesn’t go away and the more I tried to spit it from my mouth, the thicker it gets and the harder it gets for me to breathe. The next thing I remember is seeing a live feed from my uncle who’s showing everyone how the government is threatening him and his family (because I didn’t take the vaccine) and he goes on to show everyone that someone stole my passport and sent it to him, I’m guessing as a warning message? (Idk). Except the passport had these strange, almost demonic or alien people printed on the pages. As soon as I see this, I start violently coughing out the green fluid which suddenly gets so thick that I can no longer breathe because it’s completely blocking my airways. I pretty much start to suffocate and that’s when I woke up. So yea, shit was weird..I couldn’t fall back asleep after this and I usually have a pretty easy time falling back asleep but something about this creeped me out a little. Thanks for reading!

Hello, atheist here so the heavy religious themes in this dream were very unusual to me but disturbing nonetheless. I'm posting for dream interpretation, not religious conversion.

My dream started in a strange post-apocalyptic world where the last humans lived in a tall building. Each level was for a specific rank of society, from one (worst) to seven (best). Social mobility was possible but hard and rare. Oh, and the lower ranks were harvested into some sort of sci-fi or magic brownies for the ranks above them. I was quite low on this pecking order but took part in a ceremony to decide who moved up and down for that year, being tortured after.

Then I woke up and went back to sleep. My dream returned to the seven-levelled weirdo world. I dropped my parents off to their work and witnessed someone threaten to shoot another. The Devil asked me to frame the victim so the shooter would be free to exact more evil.

He claimed my soul and tortured me in hell to get me to agree. My soul had been reincarnated many lifetimes and was a man (I'm a woman). The Devil threaten to torture me to the point of spiritual death each day, but he would go easier on me if I complied.

I needed to infect the victim with lycanthrophy for the devil to claim his soul, because he had been into the abyss of space and was driven mad by the forbidden secrets.

Oh, and the devil was pure darkness. A man with no festures, absent of light or colour.

Context: Atheist woman living in the UK, age 29.

I used to have this recurring nightmare/sleep paralysis episode (particularly in my childhood) where i would be in my bed or my crib and there would be like 4-6 shadow men looking down at me, seemingly without ill-intent just looking at me. I vividly remember them all whispering simultaneously so it was hard to make out what they were saying. Safe to say i never really felt threatened by them they were just sort of ominous.

I have only remembered it recently because i had one a few days ago. That was strikingly similar to the ones from my childhood. But they have been present all my life.

Wondered if anyone had any similar experiences?
