Recurring dream I’ve had at least 20 times in a sort of spirit world.

Hello, I’ve had a recurring dream that starts in different parts sometimes, but the parts are nearly the same every time and it always ends in the same location.

Part 1, Tiny Islands:
I start here about half the time, either in the first or third person. I will be rowing a canoe or sometimes wading through a realm that has water that is white on the surface but is dark below, like a really dark blue or black when the surface is broken. It’s only about 3-4 feet deep. I don’t have any fear of living things being in this water-like liquid. It is not drinkable, like air when it gets in my mouth. The background is white and seemingly endless, although I always know to go in a certain direction because of these tiny islands made of rock that vary in size and shape. 1-2 yards long and ridged, only about 2-3 feet high above the surface. There are usually only 4-5 of them, in a stretch of about 20 yards. The specific direction I’m heading is East.

Part 2, The Beach/Near Beach
Sometimes I start here. I appear to have landed in the middle of a cove. A peninsula curves around me with me in the middle of this “U”, the West side is the peninsula which has hills on it, the East side is a mountain that is ocean worn, rocky, and steep on the West side of it, and has a very gradual incline on the East side of it, almost like a wave shape. Land stretches as far as the eye can see to the East and South of the mountain. The cove from the end of the peninsula to the other side is about 1 mile directly across. Sometimes there is a ton of forest vegetation headed up the mountain or on the hills of the peninsula, and sometimes there’s a massive tree on top of the mountain. Also most of the time, a storm is coming. I begin up the mountain.

Part 2.5, Alternate Start:
Sometimes I start off to the Southeast of this cove, looking at a storm beyond the peninsula and head up the gradual side of the mountain.

Part 3, Mountain Peak:
I am always set to meet someone on top of the mountain, but there isn’t someone there every time. Sometimes I’m alone, sometimes it’s just me and the unworldly massive tree which I speak to, and it seems to communicate back in my thoughts. However, most of the time there’s a Zeus-like giant sitting on the top of the peak by the tree on a stump or rock, looking depressed or unsurprised, who I sit next to and speak with or we sit in silence. A couple times, he was a giant white/grey werewolf with blue eyes wearing chains or rings on his arms and legs. A divine figure of sorts. For some reason I have the feeling he always wipes my memory of our conversation. We are always overlooking the peninsula, which will have a ruined city in the middle of it. I think he explains why the city was ruined. Why “it needed to happen.” Not sure. Buildings collapsed or tipping over, cars floating amongst the rubble, it all seems to have happened a very long time ago. The water is dirty or dark, and the storm has either passed or is almost over. A couple times the city wasn’t there, but the water had turned to acid instead. Then I wake up, every time.

I’m not religious, but agnostic. This was the most religious type of experience to happen to me. I’m sure I’ll be back sometime. Feel free to analyze, until next time.

This is the second time I’ve had a dream here...

17F, INTJ, 6w5

I was at my sisters new place (real, she just recently got her own apartment) and I had to go somewhere. I was walking and felt unsafe in the city because there were a lot of homeless people nearby. I got to a gas station where I see a police car and feel relief. This is where it gets weird.

I see firemen sitting in what is basically a plastic canoe. Then I see another. Due to limited resources, they have to travel attached to the truck. Suddenly, there is a call and I’m now a firefighter(?) holding onto the back of a plastic canoe for dear life. The radio is breaking up but I hear there’s a big fire.

The fire is at a gym - if there were gyms for musical theater. I’ve had a dream here before, people just constantly rehearse and preform, and what’s eerie is that when it’s silent, there’s still music playing inside.
Anyway, we get to the street, I somehow get the hose into the fire hydrant, and move closer to the fire. By the time I’ve walked there, most of the fire has been put out. However, we hear there’s still one person in the building.

We go to the side of the building and go up one level, to a door that has already started turning black. There’s a familiar sound. The song [“Forever Yours” from Once On This Island](https://youtu.be/98TB2NxclvU) is playing in the building, starting around 0:45. I start singing along with the words, but it’s almost like I *am* the song/the words are flowing out of me.

The other firefighter kicks open the door, and we move inside. There, we see one of the young performers caught in some mat in a lower ceiling. It is understood that a sacrifice will need to be made to save this boy. I hear myself singing the words, “My soul for his...”
I begin to approach him to rescue him and sacrifice my life, and then I woke up.

Dreamt of a lake, full of dead bodies...

(Warning, its a little graphic)

The whole dream took place in a mountainous region with one giant lake, think like canadian wilderness...

It started by first visualizing the beginning of a short story page, called "dead skin of the throat" weird

It started as a game me and others were playing in the water, it wasnt modern times,
It was a game we played by lifting and diving a dead (but beautifully preserved) eagle in flying position in and out of the water and trying not to be tagged by it, we sang a song to keep timing of dives. I held the eagle the whole time but at one point instead of dipping it into the water when the others did i simply admired the birds face and feathers, though its head more looked like a kestrel. Saying it was the most majestic creature...

The game eventually ended and i was walking away when someone came running up to me panicked, saying a young woman mightve found a dead body in the lake. He proved it by handing me dried skin... witch we knew was from the throat, because it was common knowledge that the dead were marked by skinning their throat and leaving it uncovered/unhidden from the body.

We met her and she was pointing from the edge into a shallow area where we saw the first body, pale and bloated at the bottom of the water. We were shocked and i followed the thin trail past and saw more.. one or two more.

Then we were at the top of the cliffside down into another end of the lake. My family appeared out of nowhere to join us, and I made my way down the cliffside, balancing on the gravel ledge that turned downwards, once hanging from my hands to cross over a section. Asking the spirits permission to make it accross

At the bottom we saw the bodies of babies from the edge, lines and lines of them, stretching as far as we could see, underneath the water, it was definitely disturbing, some of us swam out only to see more, older in age, slowly rising to the surface, we swam back,

Later as the sun was setting we cane back with canoes and I followed in a kayak and further out near a mountain waterfall into the lake, bodies of adults floated on the surface packed together as we paddled. I remember asking the spirits permission to continue to paddle over these ancestors final resting place and then i woke up, before a hand grabbed my kayak from below.

Got into a screaming match with some lady and a blender exploded

So basically this dream started out with me, my grandparents and my brother. Apparently we were going to some old temples on an island that had basically been turned from something ancient and beautiful to a tourist trap. Anyway,, we were all on a boat and for some reason the boat was like….really skinny??? It was basically just a glorified canoe. There were a few boring segments and nothing funny happened so let’s just skip ahead.

We get to the island and I suddenly get really tired. Dream me does not get the luxury of being able to survive subtle heat. My family members go ahead and explore the temples and I lay down on a rock near a shop. I ended up falling asleep for a bit. The shop I fell asleep next to was the iconic smoothie shop.

In the meantime, said shop is under staffed and is experiencing a bunch of traffic. An employee walks outside and notices me, overheating and asleep on the rock. She walks over to me and she wakes me up
“Hey kid wake up”
“Huh—“
“Get up”
“Why??”
“I need you to help at this shop”
Sooo…I’m a part time employee at this place now.
Things are goin pretty good, I’m not fucking dying from being too stressed and it’s all good. Then—

Then the blender fucking jammed. The blender jammed because apparently some ice somehow got under the blades. Then she walks in. She as in the lovely lady who I got into a screaming match with.

This lady wanted a drink and WOULD NOT give up
“Hi ma’am could you please wait? The blenders not working and it may take a bit”
“I can’t wait I’m in a rush”
“Yes but I can’t do anything about that. You either have to wait or just leave”
“Ma’am”
“I want my drink”
“Miss I have already told you, I can’t do anything about this and you’re gonna have to wait”
“I’m not going to listen to a child. Get me someone older and then maybe I’ll listen”
“Ma’am”
“Go get me someone older.”
At this point I was getting pissed off. This lady wouldn’t listen and the blender is holding on by a single thread. This is where shit escalated and it escalated BADLY.
“I ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT”
“I’m not gOING TO LISTEN TO A CHILD”
“THE BLENDER IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE CAN YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL WE GET A REPLACEMENT???”
“I AM IN A HURRY”
“WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??? THE. BLENDER. IS. BROKEN.”
And then the motherfucking blender exploded.
I left after that and I just waited out front for my family.

Btw this isn’t what happened word for word. It’s just what I remember that isn’t warped and weird since, y’know, it was a dream.

Can someone tell me why this dream bothered me so much for about 2 weeks afterward? Because I’m stumped.

Very odd, vivid dream that terrified me.

So, a week ago I had a dream that really stuck with me for some reason. I woke up around 1 in the afternoon (I work nights), with my heart still racing from it and feeling extremely anxious. I’m just trying to make sense of it.

In the dream, I had traveled by boat to this woodland-covered island in the middle of the lake that my parents live on/where I grew up. This island exists in real life. It’s about a mile long and maybe 100 yards wide, covered in woods with some native wildlife like deer, grey foxes, armadillos, raccoons, etc. This island sits directly across the water from my parents house, we can see it easily from our backyard. I used to take my canoe over there and explore this island a lot as a teenager. Also noteworthy: This island was the site of a very small summer camp sometime in the 1950s. You can still see the crumbled remains of what were once the camp kitchen and bunks, very simple wooden structures with a few rusted cot frames, misc trash and an old kitchen stove remaining. This island also was once home to a small herd of goats put there to help maintain vegetation on the island, but all had disappeared by the 90s. People camp on it occasionally.

Moving on to the dream! It was broad daylight outside, sometime in early afternoon I think. I went, for reasons unknown, to the island by boat. I don’t recall what sort of boat I was in. I think my husband was with me, but that detail is murky. I walked through the woods to the middle of the island where the old camp used to be. The kitchen mess hall is still standing in the dream, a wooden structure about the size of a doublewide trailer with no doors attached to the entrances or glass in the windows.

I go inside. There is no electricity, but I can see the interior fairly well from the daylight coming through the open doorways/windows. Inside, it is littered with trash and nylon camping tents/piles of bedding where people have been sleeping there on the dirty wooden floor. There are 2 darkened rooms off each end of the main room. There are also several groups of people milling about inside, talking and laughing like this was just their hangout spot. Maybe 8-12 people total. I am drawn to a tent in the center of the room. It is partially unzipped, so I peek inside. It is empty except for a black plastic trash bag,and lying beside the trash bag is the decomposing body of 1 of my 4 cats. I become instantly filled with indescribable terror and run towards the doorway to leave.

As I try to leave, a young couple enter the doorway as the male half proclaims “alright let’s go cheat!” while leading his laughing female companion towards one of the darkened side rooms. I look back into the main room and see a large but rather skinny pink pig rooting around in the trash strewn about. The whole atmosphere was like a “trap house”, an abandoned building where homeless drug users congregate to squat and use.

In terror, I proclaim “how can you all just sit in here with this dead, rotting cat like it doesn’t exist???” I was especially terrified over the body of my dead cat. I couldn’t even walk near the tent he was in. I remember hoping the pig would just eat his body so it would be gone.

My husband and I somehow become trapped in this building and are forced to spend the night here. We chose a spot in the building far away from my dead cat, to sleep. Upon awakening the next day, we make a hasty getaway. Suddenly the doorway has a flimsy screen door on it. I look around the main room once more before we go. The people are gone, but the pig is still there, rooting around in the trash on the floor. I say to my husband “we should leave the door propped open so the pig can get out”. He says “The pig can easily push that flimsy door open if it wants, it doesn’t even close all the way”. I decided he was correct. Then we leave.

In reality, my cat, Défago, is healthy and fine. He’s an indoor-only cat and my baby, as are all my cats. I’m not sure why it was specifically him dead in the dream and not any of the other 3. They weren’t in the dream at all.

Can someone interpret this wild AF dream for me??lol
