What are possible meanings for dreams of cowards?
The trick to figuring out the meaning of a character in a dream is to question its role in the story and what it says about you or a situation. The character is chosen to play a role and, by doing so, show you something.
A coward, or acting cowardly, can reflect lacking courage or shirking something. “Coward” is exaggerated but fits when you avoid something rather than confront it.
The meaning can often be found in the opposite idea. A coward lacks courage and ability to act under duress. Dreaming of a coward can be compensation for heroic theatrics or going too far on the fearless end of the scale. See: Compensation
It can express the desire to prove yourself or push your limits. See: Heroes
Cowardice can connect with fear of knowing the truth or seeing things the way they really are. In a backward sort of way, it can stem from fear of finding out you are capable of so much more than you are doing with life or aspiring to be as a person.
Everything in the psyche comes in pairs, and the counterpart of the coward is the bully. Both are immature manifestations of the Warrior archetype and can manifest as mean, immature characters such as bullies and gang members. See: Bullies

Daymare?
I took an afternoon nap on the couch and had a dream/daymare?
In this dream I saw a generic person I recognized, though wouldn't apply a 'familiarity' label with him. His eyes were black and we were play fighting (at least I was). So I'm playing along and he drops me somewhat maliciously. While I'm face-down prone on the ground, I can feel like a shank being pressed into my back kidneys. I feel the pain and ask, "can you please stop" before waking up.
I woke upset like I'm always good-natured, pulling punches while cowards work their hardest to harm me.
Anyways, I took that negative energy and ran a half-marathon on the fly. I hope that bitch ass cowards comes back so we can run it back for round 2. Oh and thanks for motivating me today, I don't get bitter, I get better.

I don’t even know
I had a nightmare where I was watching a “cursed video” that I found. It started with someone lighting themselves on fire and two people, one adult male and one young child, staring at the corpse. Then I was in the eyes of the dude, I was sitting in the couch when the little girl and up to me and threw a cup at me screaming at me for “being a coward” and “killing my her while she was asleep”, and that “she’s gonna boy let me die, only be tortured”.

I had a dream I witnessed Prince William be assaulted
I’ll start by saying I dispise the monarchy and they should be abolished but last night I had a dream that I was in the general vicinity when William was with his wife Kate and their kids, they were doing some PR campaign eating outside a cafe, the road was sandy and dusty, a young man came out and attacked William in a brutal manner, he beat him and then pulled down his trousers, lying in the dirt, his wife screamed in horror and ran off with his kids and the Prince lay in the dirt with news cameras on him, in a state of shameful weakness, coddled his whole life he had not the mental strength to deal with his assault, he lay there for a minute or two, no will to get up, he just lay there paralyzed in fear, I both pitied him and felt disgusted at him, I felt he knew his entire life would be defined by this moment”a future glorious king” lying semi naked in the dirt, to weak to get up while the world watched, paralyzed in fear, a coward, I felt his humiliation and I pitied him but his weakness, his lack of resolve and fortitude sickened me and I felt disgusted by him.
What did it mean?

Got a little bit of closure from a dream
I had a dream I found my ex-fiance at a party. I walked right up and said all the things I've wanted to tell her. I called her a coward for breaking off our 3 year engagement with a text. I told her how selfish she was and how unappreciated she made me feel. I told her how lacking in empathy she was. Most of all I yelled at her for isolating me from my family (She moved us across the country and even when we visited she kept me from seeing my family by prioritizing her family visit. She would get mad at me for taking calls from my family and friends) I asked her why she never helped me cook or clean? How can a grown ass adult not help clean at all but criticize my work? Why take over someone's life just to blow it up when they ask for some modicum of respect? I wish I could've gotten some answers. She just cried. Not what I would call a good dream but it was cathartic

Had the most disturbing dream of my life? What does it mean?
Hi all,
I just woke up (it's 4:30ish in the morning) from what I think is the most disturbing, horrible dream I've ever had in my life. I am writing fast as it is quickly getting hazy to remember. I was a kid in the dream, maybe myself? I don't know. I had a friend too. There's a man who owns a store down the road, he had long hair. For whatever reason, my friend and I went there to take a look. (Have no idea what the store was for but I just know we were there?) And it reminded me of the early 2000's for some reason. We see in the store and the man invites us to see some cool stuff out back, and we go look. Turns out, he lives in like, an attached dwelling above the store, so we follow him, go up some stairs to a room and I started feeling uneasy. It's just an empty room, and there's a big blue tarp on the floor. The man explains, completely devoid of emotion, that he's going to kill us both, and god, even thinking of it now I feel sick in my stomach at remembering the moment he said that in the dream. I panic, my friend panics, and he quietly says "run", and so I did, I remember me going right and him going left, I remember just me bolting down the stairs, I remember hearing him scream, and I remember me continuing to sprint away like a fucking coward. The man got him. I cannot explain the depth of the guilt I felt, then and even now though I know it was a dream. For reference, I'm a 23 year old uni student and I am on the verge of tears writing this... It seemed so real. The dream went on, and cut to me being miserable in my teen years and alienated from everyone. My friend was gone, and the man had packed up and run away, never to be found. Then it cut to the last part of the dream, and I was in my 30s, and I was keeping things together but still felt wracked with guilt. I had a like a convenience store I was the boss of? A man came in, older than me with short hair, he has I guess what would have been a friend or a partner with him who didn't really talk at all. I got weird vibes from him, but he explained he knew my friend from my childhood and was related somehow. He insisted I come for coffee at his home and to talk? For whatever reason i obliged, and he waited outside the store until my shift was over, then we went to his home for coffee. We are in his home and in the dream it gets weird because I start seeing things from different angles, I also felt like I knew the man from somewhere. From one perspective I clearly see his friend put what looked like a filleting knife just out of my view, next to the short haired man. I start freaking the fuck out internally, but outwardly don't let on that I knew. The man starts talking about the day my friend was killed, in more detail than anyone could have known, and I felt so sick. It was him, the long haired man was now the short haired man sitting before me. His friend was offside and behind me, I threw my hot coffee in his face, then grabbed the knife and stabbed the short haired man, then his friend, but they were still alive and trying to get me? It didn't make sense? I remember thinking how they weren't dying, and then I just sorta lost it and kept stabbing until I was sure they were gone. I freaked the fuck out and suddenly was back in the upstairs room behind the store, but as adult me this time, I ran to escape, and halfway up the stairs was my friend, all twisted and decayed, silently looking at me. I remember it so vividly because the only part of him that wasn't rotting was his eyes, staring into me and he lay crumpled on the stairs. I screamed and immediately woke up. Jumped out of bed in a cold sweat, turned the light on and promptly started crying. I was very nearly going to be sick when I first woke up. It's insane but it was so real... I've never had a dream so real as this one was. I've never woken up and responded like that. Generally I am a quiet, reserved kinda guy that doesn't get emotional but this really, really fucked with me. Does anyone know what the fuck it means? Does it mean anything? What the fuck? Let me know if you have any thoughts.
