What are possible meanings for dreams of dinosaurs?

To dream about a dinosaur can mean you face something overwhelming. What sort of chance do you really stand against a dinosaur?

It can symbolize something you want to avoid—huge, loud, fearful, dangerous, dominant, primitive—or that’s too big to handle. See: Hugeness, Reptile

As a figure of speech a dinosaur describes a person who is out of touch with the latest trends and ideas, synonymous with the words “outdated” and “extinct.”

For example, a teen male dreams about a dinosaur following him and his friends around. They hide from it, and as it sniffs around, one of the dreamer’s friends makes a noise, attracting it’s attention. The dinosaur symbolizes the dreamer’s grandfather, the old man with outdated ideas poking around the dreamer’s life. And the dreamer has things he wants to hide, especially related to what he does with his friends.

Dreamt about dinosaurs being as advanced as humans.

I am not really into dinosaurs and paleontology stuff like that, I am actually more into ww2 history, but I just woke up after dreaming about it dinosaurs were in the human age and the humans were in the dinosaurs age. So humans would be eating each other and killing and getting wiped out by the Chicxulub asteroid and thedinosaurss would coexist together while having the same tech as humans. And then there were jobs like pterodactyls can be delivery people because they can fly and the Tyrannosauruses are the soldiers since they are strong, dinosaurss are apparently racers and marathon runners. All the dindinosaursved in cities and towns just like us and have the same infrastructure as us.

I just woke up and it’s only 5:16 so I’m gonna catch a bit more sleep before starting my Sunday. I’m actually a fan of MLP so I don’t ever know why I dreamed of dindinosaursl, but it’s still interesting.

A really weird dream that I need interpreted

It started at this weird furry summer camp, and I needed to use the bathroom, so I went to the portapotty, but when I opened the door, instead of a toilet, it was this adult sized, plastic tiger looking thing sitting where the toilet would be, and I had to sit on its erect penis to poop. It felt pretty good. When I got out, I walked to the left and there was a dinosaur that could talk on the ground with its vagina up in the air facing me. Apparently, this was my wife so I went over and had sweet, sensual love with the dinosaur/woman. Suddenly, a man came up beside me and said me and my wife were disgusting, and she angrily yelled at him something along the lines of, “we’re the next generation!”. Human to dinosaur sex was, I don’t think illegal, but very, heavily frowned upon. For the rest of the dream I saw my life getting worse as people laughed at me and gave looks of disgust at me. Then I woke up. For some background, I’m 14, male, (I think) bisexual, and I wouldn’t say I’m a furry, but I sure can get off on it (especially dinosaur

Had a dream I invented a cocktail called the "Dino Pounder".

The dream started with myself and several anonymous friends sitting in a dimly lit bar. The place was fancy and had a grand oakwood bar. Most of the bar seemed to disappear into the shadows, but that didn't seem to bother myself or my friends.

The bartender was a skinny white dude in a black vest, dress pants, and a white bowtie. He was silent as he gestured to the various candies, bottles, and foodstuffs in jars along the wall.

The view changed as the bar changed into a YouTube video with text overlays and I was going to be the taste tester of a "fantastic new idea!". I then dictacted to the bartender the recipe for the "Dino Pounder".

Take a wine glass and wash it out.
Add one part vodka, 1 and 1/2 parts clear citrus soda, and a handful of gummy dinosaurs.
Pour into shaker with ice, like shake it a lot.
In the wine glass, put in a little ice and ginger.
Pour contents of shaker into glass, add a Pokemon card, Swiss cheese cube, and and another dinosaurs gummy as garnish.

Text pops over describing the name of the drink and there is polite clapping.

Dream ended there. I woke up the next morning thinking where the hell all this came from.

Dinosaurs and Caffeine.

I don't know what it is, but if I drink caffeine in the evening and go to bed at a normal time, I dream of being hunted by giant sharp-toothed reptiles. Typically, it's a Tyrannosaurus Rex, but it sometimes it comes in the form of other large meat eaters.

It's terrifying, but exhilarating. It's more like The Martian than it is The Ring or The Conjuring. I don't wake up in a cold sweat, but I am certainly shaken.

It doesn't always require caffeine. Sometimes I just dream of becoming a prehistoric lizard's human Happy Meal for no reason (although, I don't recall ever being caught). It confuses me.

Of course I've Googled what it could represent. Results are in: Unconscious creature-features likely mean that one is not being honest with themselves or they believe themselves to be in the foothills of some insurmountable task. This does not seem like me at all.

Quite the opposite, in fact. I believe the dream is my unconsciousness urging me to find a new adventure. I yearn for a path filled with unknowns and 'what-ifs'. Not a U-turn on life's highway. Just a scenic detour.

...Or maybe I need to stop drinking caffeine before bed.

A waitress with dinosaur feet

This is a weird dream I had a few nights ago, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

I am in a restaurant and it is full of people. It’s really loud and there is really old 50’s type of music playing in the background. I am with a group of people and I know they are all my friends, but I am for some reason really annoyed with all of them. They are all being loud and when the waitress comes to take our order, I can barely hear her. By the time she gets around to me to take my order, she seems irritated and exhausted. Even though I am hungry I just say I only want water. The people at my table are now being even louder and then I realize why: all my “friends” are making fun of the waitress. The waitress, who is very pretty, has some kind of deformation. Her legs and arms bend backwards the opposite way and it looks like she has kind of bird feet, or a dinosaur’s feet. It is really bizarre and kind of scary. All the people at the table are laughing and snickering at her and I just feel really bad for her. I am with my friend Jack, who is sitting next to me. I know it is my friend Jack, but in the dream he looks completely different, but I just get the feeling it is him. Jack is making fun of the waitress and I am getting upset for her. She already has a lot of customers and our table is being the loudest. I take a drink of my water and when I put the glass back on the table, it is full of blood and a few of my teeth. I realize that my teeth are falling out all of a sudden, and I try to hide it by getting up and going to the bathroom. I get into the restroom and all my teeth are just falling out. They are like loose screws, and I feel ashamed about it. I don’t want anybody to know so I just leave the restaurant without saying anything. Suddenly, the waitress with the weird deformities is outside and she’s asking me to pay for the food. I try to tell her I didn’t order anything, but my teeth are all crumbling inside my mouth so I can’t get the words out to her. She looks very upset, and after a while she just sits down and starts to cry. I look inside the restaurant and all my friends are looking out the window laughing at both of us.

Then I woke up. What could this dream possibly mean? There was a palpable sense of sadness and frustration that took hold of me long after I woke.
