What are possible meanings for dreams of floods?
Water in a dream can symbolize emotions, so a flood can symbolize outpouring of emotion. Flooding implies the threat of being overwhelmed, and psychologically it can relate to being overwhelmed by your emotions, especially if the water is murky, dirty, or full of debris. However, dreams have many ways of creating symbolism with the action and imagery of flooding.
For example, the unstoppable nature of a flood can be used to create symbolism connected with anything that can’t be controlled: illness, old age, a person, a situation.
Water is associated with the unconscious mind, which can act as a repository for everything psychologically repressed, rejected, or unwanted. A point comes when those elements will not be held back any longer. The dam breaks and out rushes everything previously held back. When the symbolism of flooding is used in this sense, it implies a time of danger for the person, a mental breakdown or onset of neurosis. See: Erupting
On the other hand, if handled properly it can precede a time of creative fertility. Floods create rich soil from which crops grow. Artists, inventors, and other types of creative people can be “flooded” with ideas and inspirations. In this sense the imagery of flooding is quite positive and welcome.
Flooding can mean letting go of something. After a flood of emotion or creativity, the head and heart are cleared. You are ready to start fresh. It can be the first step to healing.
Flooding is associated with threats to property and life, because floods are dangerous and often accompanied by destruction. It can mean you face a dangerous situation or are overwhelmed by events.
Flooding is associated with fears and worries. This use of the symbolism is more likely in dreams where a flood is feared to happen, or the possibility of it causes panic.
A more literal reading of the symbolism of flooding involves the visualization of badly needing to urinate. A flood of dirty brown water can symbolize diarrhea. See: Toilets
Flooding can have personal associations based on experience. If you’ve ever lived through a flood, especially one that wrecks your life or home, dreams can draw on the experience to create symbolism.
News about flooding can seep into dreams. If you have no personal connection with the places being flooded, consider the possibility that the dream uses a flood to connect with whatever you were thinking, feeling, or doing at the time you heard the news. In which case, the symbolism has nothing to do with water or flooding. It’s simply a marker for when a thought or feeling occurred.

Another Apocalyptic/Disaster Dream
I had a dream I was a high school student again. There was an outbreak. There were CDC a d military at my school. They had students and staff line up in 2 separate lines. They had a tablet and a scanner. They'd scan our eyes and swabs our mouths and somehow the tablet could tell if we were contaminated or infected. It came to my turn for being scanned and swabbed. I was contaminated.
They pushed me through a door where other students were and we were forced into buses. Idk where we were going. I was sitting near the back. We started driving. It was getting dark outside. I hear something that sounds like cracking but deafening. The buildings around the bus started sinking and my bus driver tried maneuvering the bus around falling buildings.
My dream switched to a bird's eye view. Everything around us was crumbling. Water started rising around us. Like a tsunami or massive flood. My bus crashed and we landed in water. Everyone was screaming. I look down and see water making it's way to my feet. I look up and the front window of the bus starts cracking and as soon as water rushes in I woke up.

Non-scary kind of random post-apocalyptic dream
So I woke up today from a strange kind of post-apocalyptic dream, and I was thinking about it all day. I was hoping anybody had any ideas of potential meanings, just for fun.
I was living in a this street with half-abandoned houses. It was kind of up a hill, old Europe-y vibe. the houses were kind of colorful though, even though some were fully crumbled, and even our house was kind of falling apart. We did live in the "poor" part of town though. I found this out in the dream when I had to go to the rich part for my job and it was full of all-intact white houses, a bit too pristine. they were all fully lived in too. We also moved houses in the dream, to a slightly bigger house someone from our group discovered to be empty - but just across the street from the old house, still in the poor part of town. I vaguely remember being afraid of leaving someone behind, but that person chose to go somewhere else. There were about 4 or 5 pairs living in this new bigger house (just across the street, looked like an abandoned shopping mall).
Anyway, the main thing about this post-apocalyptic world is that a lot of people became infected with this thing. Anytime people were infected, they would get paired with someone else who was also also infected. From this pair however, only one person could transform into something (a hybrid between an animal and a monster, kind of like pokemon I guess), the other person looked normal - they just now had this connection. Think of the movie "the golden compass". Uninfected people were neither paired nor could transformed. This street, and actually entire city was mostly made up of infected people though. I was also infected, and sometimes I was the normal person in the pair, others I was the one turning.
We would all go out to do normal things during the day, the only thing is that we had to be careful not to be seen (this also happened when we were moving). This was part of the routine though, and it was like nothing was wrong.
For some reason, at some point I had to go to a different city. Everybody was worried about me but I was totally relaxed at first. I started walking, but when I got to stand below a highway bridge I started to worry because I remembered that in other cities people were scared of the infected people, and I were prejudiced as well. I noticed the area below the bridge looked abandoned, had a bunch of debris, and was also partially flooded. When I noticed the flooded was not that shallow, I started panicked a bit about drowning or getting lost. My pair though turned into what I can only describe as giant fluffy water dragon and I was like "oh yeah, this is super lucky, I forgot for a sec they could do that".
We rode in the water until we got into this half-abandoned, half-ruined subway/train, and went looking for a seat. As soon as I sat down, I looked to the side and saw a bunch of half-dead people. I froze. They were the normal, non-infected people and I was afraid of what they would think when they saw my pair.
The train had started moving though so I couldn't just leave, and I decided to pretend everything was fine and hope they wouldn't notice.
I noticed a few of them were starting to look ovei in my direction, and they seemed intrigued, but not angry or anything else, so I was relieved again.
Then i woke up.

Me and my friend had a co dream
At the beginning of the dream, I was just lying down in my bed, but there was no mattress or boards so I was lying in an empty shell of a bed on the floor. For some reason I could see my door, even though by logic it would have been blocked by the bed, and it opens. My friend walks in, it was pitch black and when the door opened light came flooding in and heard the faint sound of static. I sit up to talk to him but I can’t talk and my friend (I’m gonna call him Howard) walks over to my desk and clicks the computer mouse and teleports away, he just disappears. So I get out of the bed and click the mouse too just to see what it does, and I get teleported right next Howard. I see this like, I don’t know how to explain it, the “camera” or what I’m seeing, zooms our and it’s just a shot of me and Howard standing in front of our middle school and it is engulfed in flames. All you can see is our silhouettes standing in front of our school burning to the ground. Then, out of nowhere my vision snaps back into my body and over the sound of the flames I hear a helicopter. Out of the helicopter drops a ladder and the person in the helicopter is some kid who was a big meme for the whole school (he was a great kid and we were friends But he was just funny to make jokes out of) and he yells at us to get in. Me and Howard start climbing the ladder and when I get in the helicopter I heard my dads voice telling me to wake up, and I do.
The next day at school I tell Howard about it and said that it was so weird because he had the same experience except from his view
He walked into my room for out a static-y place and clicked the mouse and saw the school in flames and then Kincaid lowered the ladder and he woke up
Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Snake Dream (._.)
I am female btw, with no fears of snakes or reptilians.
The description of the dream is below, any interpretations would help! :D

I was walking to the second floor of my house, where my room is. I wanted to change into my pajamas so I shut the door walked to my bed and was about to undress when I heard the rattle of a snake tail. I backed away stopping what I was doing and took a moment to spot the "rattlesnake" underneath my bed.
I wasn't too scared of it, though I did back away and call my mom to the room to look at it. At this point the scene started to change, the snake now bigger and resembling more of a very large and beautiful boa. ( **it looked a lot like the Boa constrictor sabogae with very dark pronounced spots)**
I spoke up saying "It's a beautiful snake." My "mom" in the dream looked at me weirdly and she faded out of the picture. I got closer to the bed which then turned into a wall of linen cloth with a hole where I could see the snakes head looking at me. I watched as it started to climb upwards out of sight, my room now shifting to resemble a large middle eastern old timey style temple **(thats the best I can describe it.)**
I found myself standing at the top of a wood precipice **(like a stand where a worker would chisel something.)** and looking down at the large open space with open windows, sunlight flooding the palace like room. There were snakes everywhere, on the walls on the windows and many lying about on the floor. I was just watching them wriggle around when I woke up and found myself looking under my bed *just to make sure.*
***So thats that... Any interpretations are welcome, thank you!***

A dream I’m not in: a blonde child who ends up dead, a flood, and a ring
You know the video by Eminem where he stops a scene and narrates it from the news anchor perspective? This dream was a lot like that. Like I was watching a story that I’m standing in. I wasn’t active actually in the dream, but I wasn’t just watching either… I guess more like I was a ghost or something??
So I’m watching this guy move about his house looking for something. He’s divorced and has a little blonde girl (super blonde) maybe around 5. She’s kind of underfoot but trying to stay out of the way.
At the end of the dream, someone is telling me about what’s happening like a campfire story. I look at the TV and it’s news coverage about this guys house flooding in Rochester, NY and he found his daughter dead from the flooding 11 months later while he was looking for his ring.
