What are possible meanings for dreams of hunting?
To decode the symbolism of what it means to hunt in a dream, begin with how the word is used in figures of speech.
To hunt in a dream can symbolize pursuing a goal, such as “job hunting.”
It can mean you have your eyes on someone, such as a romantic interest. You are in pursuit, on the scent. Or you have targeted someone, such as a business or romantic rival.
The same ideas apply to being the one hunted in a dream, except in reverse. Someone or something is after you.
Consider also that the hunt—especially the role of hunter—can be a nice summary of your personality. Some people have the instincts and mindset of a hunter, even if they don’t hunt—they’re patient, stealthy, aggressive, observant, ruthless, quick-thinking, decisive. Hunting can symbolize the personal qualities needed to do a job, such as detective work or investment banking.
Oftentimes, whatever hunts you in a dream is something about yourself that feels left out, is repressed or unwanted. It’s a physical representation of a personal situation. Or it can be something you’ve been ignoring, such as a desire to do something. Being pursued or hunted is a common dream theme with people who have something they really want to do—something big, like write a book, start a business, or travel—and aren’t doing it.
Being hunted by an animal can mean an instinctual side of you wants to find a place in your life, a side somehow related to the symbolism of the animal. For example, being hunted by a tiger can mean you have the ability to dominate but don’t use it. Or you have a need that’s unmet. For example, a need for more sleep and rest can be symbolized as a bear hunting you. Bears are known for napping and hibernating. See: Animals
An animal can symbolize a person you know, so being hunted by an animal can characterize something about the person or your relationship. For example, being hunted by a panther can symbolize the relentlessness of a suitor.
Hunting can tie in with other symbolism such as animals, guns, and killing. Use the entries listed below to explore further.

Weird dream about god...
I don't know if i should call this a nightmare or a sign of something bigger... Last night I dreamt me and my mother were in an abandoned dark with little to no lights place.Something was hunting us and we were terrified and kept running, everything was becoming scarier until suddenly I saw my dead Grandma behind a door waiting for us,she welcomed us in...but something was off,she seemed like one of them, like the ones that were hunting us,she was very aggressive...it felt like hell.Until we sat down in a couch and suddenly we felt comfort, love and peace around her while light was slowly forming around her,it was like something had taken over her before we had sat down.Anyways,we took that opportunity and since she had died a long time ago we asked if god was real. She then looked at me,smiled and said yes. Then i asked what heaven was like but she just lost that light and i woke up.Holy shit...

Implied Dragon Rape
I had this dream last night, looking for interpretation as it is creepy:
I was at my family's hunting cabin. Crawled under the sheets of a bunk bed when a dragon bursts through the window. It is the size of a large dog and is a slithery pale white. I do not get a good look at it, but I know it was a dragon. As it burst through the window, I heard a voice (or I said it?) something along the lines of the wish for a new partner. I get deeper under my blanket, and I can feel it crawling onto the bed, its weight on top of me. It knows I am there. I get the distinct impression it wants to rape me. I wake up crying out, and my GF comforting me.
The dream we not disrupting. I went back to sleep quickly, just distributing to remember.
I am in my early 30's, male, straight. There have been some significant life changes in the last few weeks (not going to give details). They are positive.

Give me your best analysis. Thanks,

My Dad passed away in front of me in my dream
Real life- My dad is 55 and has been extremely active his whole life. I mean,, he was never home. He was always out fishing, hunting, boating, etc.. About 8 months ago he woke up and out of nowhere was completely deaf in one ear and has been life changing vertigo, tiredness, exhaustion since. It was so so sudden and he is not the same man he was because he is extremely limited.
Anyways, I guess all this worry about not having answers and with him at his age just having problems like this so completely sudden has worried me.
I dreamt last night I went to his house amd he was on the couch laying down and then I realized he passed away. I CANNOT describe the amount of pain amd heartbreak I felt. I started SOBBING and screaming, I tried to remain calm when I dialed 911. I ended up texted my friends saying I'm now a member of the dead parent club (all my friends have lost their parents young and they joke about this club in real life) and then all the sudden my husband came in to make sure he wasn't barely alive because my husband was certified in life saving measures. Turns out he was barely alive but im unsure if it was going to make it. I had hope he would
But yeah, that dream was way too real for me. I'm 23 and I'm really close with him and I know it will happen eventually but I'm not ready and I think it manifested in this nightmare.
Anyways, thanks for listening.

Daddy and I (not suitable for kids)
Had a dream I was in a hotel lobby, filled with people. It was just my dad and I, but I felt younger, even though in real life I was a 25 yr old man (who’s a kid at heart awww I know), almost 7 years old I’d say, anyways, there were these two sketchy individuals, they just felt off to me...they were standing in front of us, one was a woman (Asian I think but who cares it’s 2021) and a man of a darker color. She proceeded to pull out a pistol from god knows where which had a silencer on the barrel of the gun, I yelled to my dad “dad look out!” but unfortunately he was shot through his skull then all of a sudden I started to run because holy fuck I want next for whatever reason and the weird part is I grew up into a young adult as I was running like Forrest Gump or some shit. I remember jumping out one of those hotel lobby windows, then running through stores as if I was an animal being hunted by apex predators with some badass guns I have to say. I think i ended up taking one out at the end of the dream...I don’t know the details get a little hazy at the end. That concludes my dream if you had the attention span for it, thank you and please do come again

“We must find each other in real life”
About a month ago I had a dream that felt so intensely real. I don’t remember much of it, except I was in a house and hunted by something, and there was another person there (female) I never seen before and we where fleeing together, even trying different clothes to try and blend in and confuse whatever was hunted us, I remember we where in a store changing room at one point. Somehow we realised it was a dream, and on the floor in one room we found two pendants. We took on each and said to each other “we must find each other in real life!” I will not describe them because somehow I have some faint hope that maybe someone out there dreamt this too (i know, I know..)
Anyhow we got separated. When I went outside the building to look for her I saw a bright light that really hurt my eyes (And I thought it was weird because I knew it was a dream) that turned out to be a meteorite roaring down from the sky, and slowly drifted over a big lake before crashing down. People and kids were running towards it cause they where curios. But two more came and I saw that they would smash into the people and not the water. I forgot it was a dream at this point and was shouting for everyone to get out of the way. I felt the impact of the second meteorite in my whole body. At the third I woke up.
Anyone know how to interpret this? Been thinking about her a lot...
