All dreams have meaning

You can gain insight from thinking about any dream, no matter how strange. Only you, as the dreamer, have final say on what your dream may or may not mean. Each dream is unique.

Look for the differences

The DreamWell dictionary provides information on how each dream symbol appears in dreams in general. Finding how experience jealousy in dreams can be a key to understanding its meaning.

Return to the feelings

Our emotions in dreams can help us understand its meaning. Pay attention to how you felt in the dream. Pay attention to how you feel about jealousy in dreams. See how you feel about jealousy now, in your waking life.

What are possible meanings for dreams of jealousy?

Jealousy in a dream often directly connects with how you feel. Dreams create symbolism that sparks the feelings or emotions that need your attention, so whatever you feel jealous about is often disguised. However, you can make the connection and uncover the meaning of the symbolism simply by thinking about whatever has made you feel jealous lately. You subconsciously know what the symbolism means and react on that basis, not to the overt imagery, so if you react with jealousy to something in a dream, you know it symbolizes something that sparks your jealousy.

Two common sources of jealousy are success and love. You can be jealous of someone’s success, or jealous of the attention that a love interest or mate gives to someone else. Jealousy often arises from feelings of inadequacy and disappointment. It is an “umbrella emotion” that covers deeper emotions, and it projects your inner dramas onto external situations and people. If you feel jealous, your dreams might try to show you the source of the feeling. What’s missing from you that makes you jealous of someone else?

I had a very sad dream last night about a gryphon...

The dream itself was kinda short, but it took place during a whole year.

I had met a gryphon (smart but couldn’t talk) over a year ago, and over time I slowly took him as my ‘pet’, made him play with children, flied with him, made him cast spells to make the sky colorful, and such things. As time passed, I grew more and more attached, I even gave him a name (Cli).

But then a tragic event happened: two of my close friends were about to drown in the sea after a shipwreck, and my best friend was telling me their location via radio in order for me to rescue them.

Right when I’m about to go to the rescue, Cli offers me a ride, and while we were flying, he told me (not with words, it was more like a telepathic communication) that I had to make a choice: If I really loved him, I had to let him go free forever, and never see him again; but if I wanted him to stay, it’d just be ownership, egoism and jealousy and not true love/friendship.

I broke down and cried (I woke up with tears in my eyes), but I ultimately decided that I had to do what was good for the both of us, and let him go.

So, after taking me to the rescue, he took me for a long final ride, and *what a wonderful world* started playing in the background as we passed above parks, people, rivers, trees and the sea; lastly, we said our last goodbyes and he flew away one last time.

I woke up with a bittersweet taste in my mouth, and shortly after breakfast I listened to *what a wonderful world* and cried a bit.

The dream itself was kinda short, but it took place during a whole year.

Husband and I separated rn and I had the perfect dream.

So yrleah we’re separated and I haven’t even talked to another dude. Just not even considering it yet. He recently told me he had someone in mind considering dating her. I hate to admit it but it inspired a little jealousy in me. So had this awesome dream last night that would make him soooo jealous, even tho it was just a dream. Here goes ….

I was in this hotel with an awesome band playing in the lobby. It was like half lobby, half concert stage with dance floor. There was sort of a portal leading up and away from the stage and I’d heard the portal led to a NSFW club with awesome music more my style. I crawled up there. It was like a magical portal and was like a maze to get up there.

Once I got up there the music and atmosphere was awesome. It was crazy loud and there was S&M porn playing on big screens in the walls. I was approached by this fine ass dude. Tall, beautiful face, built like a beefy quarterback. Apparently he was “in charge” of the place and he grabbed my arm and twisted it behind me. He shoved me face first into a wall and started kissing my neck like I love and pressing into me, twisting my arm all along. He spun me around and told me to come to his room. We walked silently to his room and he threw me on his bed which was so fucking soft and comfortable. We stripped and he just climbed on top of me, never saying a word, and shoved himself inside. His dick was fucking giant and elicited pleasant noises from me immediately. He lay his chest on mine with alll his weight which I love. We went at it and it ended with both of us completely satisfied. He walked me back to the portal club and walked away.

Next I found some awesome drugs and partook of them. Got an awesome buzz and danced for a while. I was getting some more of the drug out my pocket to take and he walked up on me again. He grabbed my hand with the drugs in it and shook his head and said “nuh-uh your not doing this shit”. I protested and he slapped me in the face which I love lol. He shoved me to the exit and said “Come on. Back to my room.”

In his room he was more chatty and we did it every kind of way we could think of. I told him he had a giant fucking dick and how much I loved it after we were both done and he smiled and said something to the effect that I was his now. We left the hotel together and outside he acted like a normal boyfriend, not like an S&M boss. We were now officially dating and the bedroom shenanigans were our little secret.

I was in love and he seemed to really fancy me too. Ahhh sweet victory! LOFL

Thx for listening if you made it through. I just have no one else to share this with and wanted to get it out :) if I told my husband about it he’d probably have a meltdown about feeling inferior and I couldn’t do that to him. :)

A failed orgy

So i was in a completely different gymnasium but knew all the characters somehow. I went to a pause room where there was a bed. I saw one of the teachers and two female students banging 4 male teachers? What did they do when i spotted them? Nothing they just kept on banging like rabbits. I thought they knew i could either have me join since they have space or i could have them reported to the authorities. I took my clothes off and suddenly everyone was gone but i was still so horny that i went on the bed and started jacking off, feeling sexual frustration and jealousy in the musk and the sex juices.

Two other women (who were probably janitors) walked by, caught me and i had to leave. I was on my way home and my phone ringed and my mom said "okay, i know you have a lot of diagnoses but jesus christ i really overestimated your intelligence". This dream wasn't a wet one, this dream fucking made me afraid for a couple of seconds that i was living on borrowed time when l woke up.

I wouldn't do this in real life, hell, the concept of jacking off in the bathroom disgusts me. I would maybe kinda at least try to join the gangbang via threat though.

I'm terrified of what i did in this dream

I don't remember much, but I know that there was someone I really loved (a she, but I don't know who) and that she died because someone set her on fire. Now, even though I didn't see it, I know it was me who done it. I don't know why, why would I do it, but for some reason I feel like jealousy was the reason. I remember being with a friend, and him staring at me with a disgusted face.

The worst thing about all, I think that she was an A.I. or something like that, digital, created by me. I could have simply deleted her, yet I decided to burn her alive (somehow)

I know it was a dream, but it's still a part of me. I don't really know what to think.

I remember some other things about the dream, but they are mostly irrelevant.

I fell in love with someone in my dream, feeling a sense of emptiness now

This is so weird for me, I’m literally feeling emotional trying to explain this dream. So basically in my dream there was this guy, and in real life I’ve never seen or met him before, I have no idea who he is. But in the dream it seemed like we had been friends for a long time. Throughout the dream, I started falling deeply in love with him, but he had a girlfriend. I have these ‘standards’ of what I’d want physically in a guy, but I remember in my dream looking at this guy and remarking how he didn’t fit any of my standards I had for a guy, and how it didn’t even matter because I was so deeply in love with him. In the dream, I was friends with him and his girlfriend and I remember the jealousy and despair I felt seeing them together. Eventually he fell in love with me too and he ended things with his girlfriend, and we ended up together and happy. And right when I woke up I just felt so sad it wasn’t real, even though I have no idea who this guy is and I can’t even remember what he looks like. And I definitely do not have a crush on any of my friends boyfriends in real life. I don’t know if it was a lesson to not be so shallow and picky when it comes to a guy’s looks, as I am single right now and have been for over a year. But even after hours of being awake I just feel so empty and like something is missing. It’s weird.

This is so weird for me, I’m literally feeling emotional trying to explain this dream. So basically in my dream there was this guy, and in real life I’ve never...
