A disturbing childhood dream.

I was around 8 years old when I had this dream and it is still quite clear in my mind. It wasn't exactly a nightmare but the dream was very disturbing. More so because of the realistic nature. For a very long time I believed it was a real event but was too afraid to ask my family about it.

In the dream, all of my family members were gathered in the living room of the house we used to live in. It was midnight, the room furniture was gone, and there was a variety of food layed out on the floor, with all the lights turned on. It was a very ritual like environment. Everyone was laughing and chatting away. Me being a child exclaimed I wanted to sleep. They all went silent and stared at me, then gathered around and told me that this is a religious ritual. This type of night comes around once in many years and every single person has to stay awake through the night until sunrise, otherwise something very bad will happen to them and their soul will be gone forever.

It felt like the implication was that if I fell asleep, I'd be killed in my sleep as a sacrifice.

As an adolescent, I actually asked my mom if any such religious practice of staying up all night exists and she said no, so that assure me that it was indeed a dream, but the thought of it still gives me chills.

Mercury’s in super retrograde, post-apocalyptic world, ft. Dave Grohl.

Last night I had a sort of *apocalyptic* dream. (Makes sense considering what’s going on in the world.)

The reason the world was about to end was because “Mercury was in *super* retrograde” — the exact news headline I saw on TV. Then the government told us all to be home and asleep by 11:59pm — the world would end at exactly midnight. So I remember going home, and one of my dearest friend’s was there. They didn’t say why, they were just there. Then I remember going to bed, almost falling asleep, but stopped myself. I wanted to see how everything would play out. Midnight came and nothing happened.

My friend and I emerged from my apartment, the world looked post-apocalyptic and there were a few people out. Then I ran into Dave Grohl and he decided to play a concert.

I’ve been playing this in my head all day — hoping someone might have some insight.

It’s midnight and I just woke up from a dream where I spoke to my aunt who died in 2016.

My dad and I were browsing through an empty K-mart. All the lights were turned off but the store was stocked completely (Basically, it was still in business and we seemed to have just walked in after hours). There were a few TV’s set up in the women’s aisle, and I found one I liked. I sat down, crossed my legs and started reading the manual. A minute or so later I hear two chairs being pulled up on each side of me. My dad sat on the left. I heard him go “Hey!” And then to my right, I heard my aunts voice. They started conversing but I was so invested into the manual that I hardly listened and didn’t even seem to realize that my dead aunt was talking to my dad. Well, I heard her ask my dad: “Do you think we can wear pink?” Pink is my favorite color. My dad responds “Maybe. I think so?” My aunt shook her head. “I don’t know.” They continue talking and eventually it switched to me, but I couldn’t understand/hear her because I was so focused on this stupid TV booklet.

I don’t know what this means? I’ve never dreamed of my aunt. It’s weird how everything happened, how I wasn’t surprised she was there, and why I was so invested in this booklet. Was my subconscious saying that I just wasn’t ready to talk to her? Was I just too scared to focus on the fact my dead aunt was trying to talk to me? I don’t even know.

Figures staring directly at me

So I had this dream just a few days ago.

A little backstory: Me and my wife are living right next to her parents house, both our houses are ground leveled, no stories or whatever. Usually when I need something from her parents house I just jump by, it takes two seconds.

So back to the dream - I’m dreaming that I’ve woken up midnight, in my bed, and for some reason I feel like I’ve forgotten to take something from their house, I just can’t remember what it was. So I get up quickly, open the door, and make my way to their house in the dark. As I approach the door, I figured that it’s probably locked because it’s late at night, but I tried to pull the handle anyways, and nothing, it’s locked. Usually when the door’s locked I just knock to check if there’s anyone inside the house that might open up, but since no one answered, I moved over to their backyard to gaze through the side window and into the (lit) house to see if there’s anyone there.

And then it happened - as I take a look through the window and into the kitchen, I spot three figures staring directly at me, with a freezing look. I couldn’t even see their faces properly, because their eyes were all staring directly at me, fixed, as if they waited for me to come over and check the window. For a few seconds it felt like forever and I just stood there, grounded on the spot, staring at them, completely stunned and taken off-guard. It was scary, I genuinely felt like I can’t move a bone in my body. After what seemed like forever (even though it did last just a couple of seconds) the dream slowly crumbled and I woke up, sweating like i ran a freaking 60 mile marathon or something.

That’s about it. It was a weird dream and a really weird experience. I have no idea what those figures resemble, if they do at all. I don’t remember reading or watching anything that could lead to a dream like this. And that’s pretty much it...

Break-In Dream

So I had a dream when I was 11 that my brother and I were horsing around in my room at midnight. Suddenly, I looked out the window, and there was a man climbing the roof. He was wearing a red parka jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, and a green stocking cap. My brother and I went downstairs and told our parents. We all went into the living room and my dad was holding a gun of some sort and I heard barking from outside and gunshots. I went to a window to see the guy holding a gun. Our two goats were dead on the lawn and he was pointing the gun at my dog and then…
I woke up.
Could anyone tell me what this means?
