Scorpions mean darkness (according to google)

I had a dream last night that I was keeping a Scorpion as kinda like a pet. It was very adamant on stinging people but I still cared for it and admired its spunky personality. It would even try to sting me but I knew how to handle it and prevent it from stinging others and myself by holding its tail. Then the scorpion got loose and I spent the rest of the dream frantically searching for it hoping that I could find it before it hurt someone. I wondered why I had a dream about caring for a Scorpion since scorpion aren’t really an animal that I’m particularly fascinated with. But after googling what it means to have a Scorpion involved within my dream, it’s easy to say that it definitely has something to do with my personality and my inner darkness. I’ve always been someone that’s had an avid temper and I’m usually pretty good at finding ways to put others down just with my words. I can be ruthless and harsh when things aren’t going my way or if I’m annoyed even just a little bit. This sscorpionis my darkness, and yet in my dream I loved it. I cared for it and I also tried to prevent it from hurting myself and others with it even when it proved to be difficult. Because these past couple of years I’ve been trying really hard to not sting others as much but at times it’s been proven difficult to not let my emotions get the best of me. Because for me my emotions can grapple me like a hook and it’s hard for me to break from that, to take a step back and then realize what I had said and done was wrong and to own up to my mistakes because I’m also pretty stubborn when it comes to getting an apology out of me even when I’ve realized what I’d done was wrong. This has always been a trait that I’m not proud of having but recently I’ve learned to understand that it’s just who I am and what I need to do is learn how to control my stinger more and only use it when I really need to, not impulsively and less harsh. Although I still don’t really understand the significance of it escaping though, does this mean that it’s gone? Because the night of this dream I had gotten into a fight with my SO but I was able to put away my pride and yank away from the emotional hooking and resolve the issue in a respectful manner and actually listen to my conscious instead of being clouded with resentment. But at the same time in my dream I was frantically looking for it bc I was worried that it would sting someone else. What does this ending mean? If someone has any idea please inform me.

First recurring (sort of) nightmare, very frustrating

I'm 30 and only in recent months have I started having a frustrating recurring dream.

It involves a scorpion running amok and I have to somehow catch it or bring it under control and to do so I risk being stung.

It usually involves trying to stop the scorpion climbing on me or it's running around the house and I have to catch it.

I'm not arachnophobic at all. The core message of the dream/nightmare seems to be related to lack of control and personal risk but there's nothing on my life that relates to that. I really wish this uncomfortable and unpleasant dream would stop happening
