Have you ever woken up from a dream completely depressed, like you lost something precious to you?
Last night, I’m pretty sure I had the saddest dream ever.
It was about a badger I had found digging holes in the ground. I went over to get a closer look, but I was spotted. Much to my surprise, he ran over to me, maybe knowing I intended no harm. He let me rub his belly and pet him, and he was so cute. We played around for hours, until the sun got dark, and he started leading me towards a small hut that was lit up. There was an old man outside the hut cutting wood, he paid us no mind. The badger then ran over to man, and nuzzling up against his leg. He appeared to be sad. The man did nothing, he just stood there, and continued his steady rhythm of chopping wood. After a few seconds he stopped. I could see him
Slowly turn towards me. He stared at me, smiled, and slowly faded away, along with most of the hut. The badger came back, and stood on its hind legs next to me, looking at the remainder of the hut. It was dark now, but I could make out what appeared to be at least part of what was previously a hut. The hut was black, and there were signs of a fire everywhere. The badger ran out to the middle of the rubble and began digging, revealing a rotten corpse of what I assume was the old man. It was not fresh, but had not rotted so bad to be more than a few weeks old. The badger found the mans hand, and licked it, a gesture of sorrow and longing. The badger then also looked at me. And vanished.
As I saw the poor badger vanish, it felt like I was physically hurt. Somewhere deep in my heart, a hole had sprouted open. I knew that I could never see that funny playful badger again. He had brought me to the hut to show me a true tragedy, he and his owner had been caught in a house fire and died.
Suddenly, I realized that I was also fading, and could myself become more and more transparent. When I next opened my eyes, all I saw was my bedroom. But my poor friend the badger, was not forgotten.

Died in my dream and actually felt it.
So I've been stressed a lot for the past few weeks so I'm not surprised by this dream, but I wanted to share.
In the beginning of the dream, I was boarding a plane with my mom and was sitting in the back of the plane. There were still people getting off the plane from the previous flight (obviously this makes no sense but ya know) and I had a couple conversations with two guys who were about to leave. Eventually the guys left and as I was talking to my mom, suddenly the plane jerked forward and started flying despite the boarding process not being done and I could see the ground getting further away outside the window. The plane was jerking around and flying erratically so I assumed in my dream that the plane had been hijacked. I could hear everyone screaming and when I looked at my mom I could see the fear in her face. As I look past my mom I see the ground now getting closer and closer at an alarmingly fast rate. When I realized we were about to die, I decided to close my eyes and I could still hear everything, all the screams and the sound of the plane diving and the engines roaring. Suddenly in the darkness I heard the crash and felt the heat of the impact as I assume the plane exploded. Then all of the noise got cut off and there was nothing. When the nothing took over, I could feel my body going numb and at this point I was fully aware that it was a dream and knew what was happening. I could feel myself dying in my dream and it felt like real life but I had the ability to wake myself up, I knew I could but I waited a few seconds before doing it. Then I finally woke up.
I was so distressed by that dream because it felt so real, like I'd actually died. It was hard to go back to sleep after that. I've experienced sleep paralysis before as well as night terrors, but I don't think I've ever felt myself die like that before. It was terrifying.

Dead bald eagle—the death of America?
Early morning of 8/29
I dreamt of driving down a highway in a pickup truck and seeing a dead bald eagle on the side of the road, with its legs up. I looked in the back window as we passed and casually commented “is that a dead bald eagle?” And the driver (unknown identity) sighs, and says “yeah” without a hint of surprise.
The next night (tonight) violent clashes occurred in Portland. A patriot prayer protestor was shot and killed.
This dream felt like it represented the death of the United States.
Curious to see what other interpretations you all have?

I had an amazing dream. I was a soldier and I learnt what real love is.
I was a soldier, though I am not a fan of military or anything. We had our first mission, but I don't remember much. Strangely, I had no negative feelings, on the contrary, I felt very pleasant and connected to some of my comrades, who seemed to be my very best friends. The most profound moment was at the end, before I woke up. We were in one of those airplanes, ready to land and go out for another mission, and we were eating our meal. Besides me there were two friends. And suddenly, there was a girl, I thought she was Jewish (I don't know any Jewish people), for whom I felt an amazing, loving and caring feeling, completely non-sexual. I have never felt this in my life before this dream. I knew that my two friends also loved her. After I woke up, I couldn't decide if she was our sister or just all of us loved her. So there she was, and she was reading what the menu we were eating was. She was pleasantly surprised that it was her favourite meal. And then, we knew what to do. We knew that we may not will be coming home, and we put down the meal to let her eat it. It may sound a bit weird, but it felt great and the feeling had a great impact on me for a whole day. When I woke up I realized I haven't really loved anybody with this kind of love, and I decided my goal will be to achieve this mindset I had in that dream with others. I always had doubts about my ability to love people truly and I thought I was selfish. I may be, but this dream showed me how it feels to love someone truly and that I may be able to it.
I hope you will like this, and please correct any grammatical errors I made.
Thank you.

A dream where I was told I was going to die tonight
I’ll start out by giving details of myself. I am a female INFP in my 20s. I am in perfect health. I am not religious however I do believe in ghosts and evil entities (I think that’s why this dream was particularly terrifying). I just woke up from the most terrifying dream of my entire life and I don’t know what it means or what to do. Please tell me if I should take this dream seriously.
So I remember few details about earlier in the dream. I remember being at my parents house (even though I don’t live with them anymore) and learning that I had to go to classes very soon so I go into the bathroom to get ready. Through the bathroom window I see a terrifying looking witch and she just looks directly at me and starts screaming at the top of her lungs. I obviously start screaming too because I am afraid and I feel like I can’t move because I am paralyzed in fear. I scream for my dad (which is surprising because we have a very strained relationship) and the witch says “you won’t need your dad tonight.” I finally find the courage to stand up and as soon as I turn around she is there. She looks me directly in the eyes and tells me “if you don’t leave your house, you are going to die tonight.” She also mentioned that one of my young cousins is going to die as well. I think maybe she said something about a meteor but that detail is kind of fuzzy. As soon as she stopped talking I was able to wake up.
I woke up in pure panic and had to have my boyfriend calm me down. I’m prone to panic attacks and this sent me directly into one. I am so scared that I can’t stop shaking and I don’t know what to do. My mother told me I can come stay at my parents house tonight but I don’t know if that is a worse idea because the dream occurred in my parents home. What does this dream mean? Do I need to fear for my life tonight? Do you have any advice on how I should handle the situation? Am I in danger? Help is greatly appreciated so thank you in advance.
