What are possible meanings for dreams of bombs?
In simplest terms, a bomb is something that explodes or has potential for it. That association has many possibilities for use as symbolism.
A bomb exploding can symbolize an explosive situation, anger, or conflict. You’re under too much pressure, your desires are ignored, your emotions are repressed. Whatever the bomb symbolizes, it’s likely to be something powerful and sudden. That’s a heck of a way of describing an explosive argument, especially when a bomb makes a loud noise.
An explosion can symbolize a sudden outburst of emotion. When a person explodes, she loses her temper or lashes out. See: Anger
A nuclear bomb exploding can be a more extreme version of the same idea. It’s strong symbolism to describe an especially powerful outburst or explosion. Dreams exaggerate, so a situation symbolized as a nuclear bomb might be relatively minor, but the imagery somehow captures the nuances, especially the feelings and emotions. See: Nuclear bombs, Rage
Situations are described as explosive when volatile ingredients mix. It’s the holidays and relatives who intensely dislike each other are going to be under the same roof. Now add alcohol and watch the fireworks.
A man dreams about blowing up his former human-resource director’s house with a bomb after an incident where he subjected the person to an angry tirade. He “went off” like a bomb and regretted it later.
An explosion in a dream can symbolize a sudden change, and it’s probably a change for the worse. Think of times when you might say, “It was like a bomb went off.” A new supervisor takes over at work and makes radical changes. A partner suddenly ends the relationship. A sibling announces marriage plans to someone the family doesn’t like. You drop out of college or quit your job and boom! Everything changes.
News and unexpected changes can hit you like a bomb. A layoff notice at work. A loved one is dying. A promotion is denied.
A bomb can symbolize fear regarding a specific situation, often arising out of frustration at being unable to change or control something. Anything associated with fear can be used to symbolize it. Of course, when a bomb symbolizes something you fear, you’ll feel fear during the dream.
A bomb can symbolize potential for peril and trouble, something bad about to happen.
Diabetes is a sort of bomb that can wipe out health or even cause death. A failing marriage can be a sort of bomb waiting to go off. Mounting tension can threaten to erupt into something worse.
A ticking bomb in a dream can indicate time is running out. A deadline is approaching. Actions need to be taken. Things can’t go on the way they are. A situation has potential for peril or conflict. For example, the rent is due and you don’t have the money.
A person described as a “ticking bomb” has deeply rooted emotional issues that threaten to erupt. This is especially the case with repressed emotions, unhealed trauma, and rage.
Throwing bombs can symbolize making explosive statements or provocative comments, especially when the person making them is heedless of the consequences.
Defusing a bomb can symbolize defusing anger or handling a delicate situation. That use of the symbolism extends to dream scenarios where people act very carefully for fear of setting off a bomb. It can symbolize delicacy around someone who has an unpredictable or violent temper.

Has anyone else gotten this type of dream?
Recently over the past couple months, I've had a dream when I guess the sun(maybe moon) kind of explodes? I've had this dream atleast 3 times, it's always the same type of story? It's starts out either me knowing what's going to happen and trying to tell others or i know what's about to happen and I watch.
Dream 3:
I find out a volcano is about to erupt, I panic trying to convince everyone to leave but everyone says "there's no time" some girl after that had a brain injury and some helicopter came down and only took her. It obviously angered me but then I got distracted by a large boom sound (the volcano has erupted as I'm assuming). We all hid in a hospital, then I wake up in a home, it's night and I can see the volcano has started to erupt. I see the sun(maybe moon but the sky was gray full of ash) and it moves near my home and it was preparing to explode, it make like a black hole with white things circling it. After that the black hole thing moved away from the white lines, and then lowers itself and explodes like a nuke or a bomb, but it didn't affect me. It just scared me to the point I was trying to escape from something, someone, maybe nothing even. After that a giant futuristic robot was taking people who survived and after that kinda of a blur. A part of me feels like the girl is imposter in some way.
(Sorry for that bad english)

No title appropriate really.
So this one genuinely had me a little sick. Very detailed and realistic from my point of view.
I dreamt I was working in surgery in ER. A lil kid about 7, who's apparently been tortured by extremists is sent in. A concurrent terror attack is happening, lots of frantic rushing. Bodies coming in. Can't process it all.
Looks like amateur surgeon has been experimenting on the kid. Poorly made stitches on his abdomen. Everyone already shocked by the depravity. As the chest cavity is opened, to perform heart surgery, a nurse lets out a horrendous shriek. It seems to last for ages, such is the fear in that scream. As the rib cage is opened a grenade is revealed and detonates in the surgery lab. Killing everyone present. They'd used a child as a trojan horse bomb.
Woke up instantly at the moment of detonation with pretty much PTSD. Horrifying.

I had a dream the moon was being bombed and it kept flickering on and off from bright white to dim orange to yellow and all of its shapes changed through the flickering too.
It was night time and there was a war in the sky and fighter planes were trying to stop what was happening.

[Long, Sad] My little cat.
I just had a dream that as a young boy I recieved my little cat.
We went through adventures and hardships together as I grew. I scrimpted and saved what little money I had to buy him food, I cried when he accidentally got out and I stayed awake all night until he came back.
One day my acquaintance brought his dog to my home, the dog was not friendly and bit me and harrassed me and my little cat defended me, getting bitten so I wouldn't have to.
As I grew more, we became inseparable. When my mother and father died he was there for me and kept me company in my bed on those lonely nights. When I turned 18 I was drafted for the war.
In my dream I was walking down a hallway that showed the passage of time. I saw pain and suffering, death and betrayal, I heard bombs and gunfire, I saw children orphaned and parents lose their children and heard the hateful screams of my general telling me to shoot more and to be a man.
When I looked down to my side my little cat was right there with me.
I kept walking and eventually the wars ended. Now I was in my late 20's dragging myself down the hallway, I saw offices and linoleum floors, cubicles and bleary eyed, tired men in suits. I saw my hateful general, now my boss, screaming and spitting telling me to take more clients, take more calls, and work later.
When I looked down to my side my little cat was right there with me.
Now I was in my 40's sitting in my new office. My boss had called me and asked if I had met with the clients yet. I looked at the clock and saw that I was 20 min late, I bolted from my office and before I got to The door my boss stopped me. I was disheveled, my hair was a mess, my shirt was unbuttoned, my eyes were red and my cheeks were stained with tears. He asked me what was wrong with me. I sniffed, wiped my eyes, and clumsily buttoned my shirt with the wrong buttons as I slowly began to cry.
"I'm sorry sir, my little cat just died and I need a moment to collect myself."
"Ha! Are you crying over a stupid cat? You always were useless, in the war and now at this."
He slapped me with those last words. I balled my fists as I stared into his eyes and screamed:
"You bastard. That cat was my life, he was my mother and father, he was my comfort during the war, he was my only source of love while working at this company. He was my best friend and brother, and I think I'd rather join him than work for you one more day. Why don't you just kill me now."
I was now outside in the freezing snow, tall apartment buildings lined the streets and I could see a full moon above me. In front of me, my boss held his old war pistol. He said:
"I knew you were always useless"
as he pulled the trigger. I felt the bullet rip through my chest and I fell. I heard his crunching footsteps fade away in the snow as I lay on my back watching the moon, the blood pouring from my chest.
Everything slowly grew colder, darker, and the last thing I felt was the soft fur of my little cat rubbing against my face and his little meow, before everything faded away.
I've never had a more emotional dream. I woke up crying. I'm still crying. I have a cat that lives with my ex because my mom doesn't like cats. It was the same cat. I got him as a kitten. I miss him.

I had a nightmare that the moon crashed into the earth and woke up paralyzed in fear.
Last night I dreamt that I was in this random house talking with someone, then all of the sudden everything went this unsettling orange hue and deafeningly and nauseatingly quiet.
There was an awful eerie crashing sound, the kind that sounds like the aftermath of a bomb dropping or something, that low rumble.
Suddenly no one could breathe like fish out of water, and I knew that the world was ending and felt the most gut-wrenching fear and panic. I started falling through the floor looking up at my mother screaming down at me. I knew I was about to die.
I woke up absolutely stunned. I was too afraid to even turn my lamp on. I felt like a child after a bad dream. I couldn’t shake that feeling of knowing it was all of the sudden the apocalypse.
I can’t stop thinking about this dream and I can still feel that fear - does anyone possibly have any thoughts? (I’m 26f if that helps anything!)
