What are possible meanings for dreams of destruction?
Think of destruction as a physical representation, such as for volatile situations and big changes. Trust and faith can be destroyed. Home life can be destroyed. Health can be destroyed.
A city destroyed can symbolize damage to your public life, because cities are where many people live, careers are made, and aspects of public life are carried out. Buildings closely spaced together, such in cities, are ready-made to compare with close relations and connections, so destruction of said buildings can symbolize conflicts with people close to you, such as family members or co-workers.
Scenes of destruction can show your old life or aspects of it passing away. For example, seeing your old neighborhood destroyed can symbolize changes in your values, priorities, belief systems and ways of thinking. You are no longer the same person. The same ideas can be expressed in scenes of your old school or home destroyed. See: Neighbors
Demolition in a dream can indicate that an area of your life or yourself is undergoing a change as previous structures collapse. For example, during a divorce you might dream about the house you shared with your ex-spouse being demolished—the marriage is a sort of structure. Or when your personality “structure” is changing you might dream about a building being demolished. Or your beliefs change, and you dream about a church demolished.
The difference is, demolitions are deliberate and planned, and destruction is more random.
After taking a huge blow to your self-image, or your life suddenly turning to crap, you might dream about your car being destroyed or a building crumbling.

Archon beneath the ice in Antarctica
Last night I had a dream that I immediately remembered when I woke up around 530 this morning and it kept me up for a bit considering it before I went back to sleep...
I was looking over a world map and each continent was designated with the number of individuals living there and a sort of probability percentage of time that it would take for a full "awakening" of that continent. Antarctica had the lowest amount of people and the highest percentage for a short time period of awakening. I remember feeling that I wasn't interested in being that cold but wanting to visit nonetheless.
I was immediately there taking some kind of tour and we were walking through a gaping cavern with a huge hole that went deeper than could be seen. We were walking on a path with rails, something like you would see in a typical commercial cave tour. When we came out from here we were walking in the snow next to a very long line (couldn't see the end) of another hole. It was straight forward in front of us and we were walking along the side. There were efforts going on to widen the hole as we walked. People were digging at the sides to do this.
Very suddenly I giant black hand with red lines (almost as though it was a burning coal) reached out from the hole and began killing those working at widening it by sweeping up and down, smashing, causing destruction all along one side. I was standing near and ready for my end when I looked in the hole and saw an eye in a very gigantic face looking at me. Then I was picked up by the hand and set back down to find a smaller (bigger than me but superhuman sized) bluish hued man standing beside and slightly behind me. He looked just like the being in the hole except much smaller and bluish. No hair. He was standing as though very proud and aware of his own power. I said something to him out loud, I could see my lips moving, but then I heard myself still speaking when my lips had closed. I immediately thought we were communicating telepathically. He asked me what I said, and I repeated the first part, but then he said no, what did I say after that. I had a feeling he was playing with me, that he'd "heard" exactly what I'd thought but was forcing me to own that I'd thought it. It had something to do with me being attracted to his power but feeling bad about it because he was trapped and it seemed odd to me to feel that way.
He said he has chosen me to marry and that I basically had no choice and he'd punish me for anything he decided was an offense to him that I did. I almost pushed him on this but thought it wasn't wise since I didn't know what that "punishment" would entail. We found ourselves in another cavern during this time and there was a priest there who I realized had been the one giving the "tour".
As we were climbing out of the cavern, the "archon" mysteriously missing at this point, it came to me that the priest had known all along what would happen and had basically made a deal with this entity to give me to him, but not just me, everyone. I accused him and he said he had to.
Then we were in a town and there was mass panic with people running around in various states of undress. Various articles of clothing had just disappeared from their bodies and for some reason they were extremely and abnormally distressed about this.
End dream.
I have ideas about what it means but any thoughts are welcome!

The Destructive Dragon
Dreamt that a giant dragon had arisen from slumber in the modern world and was attacking everywhere and everything in its path. It burned cities, devoured helpless people and decimated an entire tribe of gorillas (that last one was an *excruciatingly* extended bit of the the dream, as if the dream wanted me to know there were ZERO SURVIVORS of the gorilla slaughter).
Armies of the world tried to shoot the dragon with missiles and fighter jets but failed, so they turned to science to find a way to poison its blood.
Then, the dream focused on a family watching the destruction of a town on the news. Suddenly there is a warning that the dragon was near them, and they ran into the cellar to hide. The dragon found them but as it began to inhale air to power it’s fire breath the children sealed its mouth shut. The fire had nowhere to go and ended up burning the dragon and badly hurting it. The dragon fled and wasn’t seen again until a documentary crew started filming about the attacks years later.
Turns out, the dragon fled into a mountain castle (and by that I mean the castle was built into the mountain like a Dwarven kingdom) and turned into a human form. In this form the dragon walked among the people and, seeing what it had done, felt really bad about causing so much damage and pain. The dragon told the crew about this and that it had sworn to stay a mortal human and try to repair the damage it had done.
...Trying to find meaning in this dream. Feels like a dream with a meaning...

Dream where I was told by "Lilith" the spiritual purpose and meaning of the current pandemic. Extremely realistic, extremely disturbing and I woke up crying. READ
My dream was like this. I was on a dirt path with a flat landscape surrounding me similar to nd Ireland. The sky was cloudy and orange and cast a strong shadow over the area. To my left was a tall, pale, red headed woman named lilith. In front of me where some 20-30 cages with animals and people inside. The people were manically laughing whilst torturing and needlessly killing the animals around them for fun. I yelled for them to stop in my dream and I yelled "what an injustice, these people are psychotic" they are killing themselves and all the animals around them. Then she looks at me and tells me "this is why this had to be done referring to (the covid pandemic) to stop you humans from continuing your destruction, she said, "this is payback time" and I was traumatized by what I had seen my fellow humans doing to the animals and to themselves and I woke up and cried for an hour straight it was SOOO realistic. I am properly creeped out.

I had a disturbing dream and now I can't stop shaking
It woke me up very early in the morning and I have been super paranoid about everything around me since then, even while typing this
to sum up my dream, it was this: I was in a store and it looked like me and my brother were getting some Games, the next part I remember vaguely is talking to my mom and then being in my brother's car. when he was driving it was terrible, seriously it was so bad, but that wasn't really what disturbed me, what comes next *did*
I (stupidly) spoke to him while looking in his direction, and I yelled at him for being a bad driver, and then of course because I distracted him, he was almost crashing into things through most of the dream until (this is the disturbing part) we end up crashing into a playground and I end up (somehow) falling backwards into my brother's face, and destroying both it and me, killing both of us
The last thing I saw was what it looked like, and then my view suddenly changing to a outside look of the destruction, including the sight of me and my brother as it was but as a silhouette
I woke up wanting to scream but I was too paranoid and afraid
someone please tell me what that nightmare was because I don't understand *any* of it

Just woke up from a big one so here we go.
My dream started like this. Some guy on the moon could see every single part of the world going up in flames. Then, from my perspective, I found out that a shit ton of nukes were going off at the same time. Despite all our efforts to find shelter, everyone on earth died.
*or so we thought.*
I woke up on an island. Apparently the mass explosions reconfigured the entire earth’s land anatomy. I look around and somehow I end up with a bunch of blank paper. I start to draw a map of the island for record if it was important. The island had forest on the left and right with a long beach connecting them. It looked like an apple core almost. The forest land was just bigger. Then I saw some people my age walking around the island. There were 10-15 of us. No adults. I walked to one of them and found out everything. We were trying to build a civilization here and live. We went around and built some structures to live in. We somehow found two IPhones and their chargers. Apparently the destruction of the entire earth didn’t destroy the electricity distribution system we had. Same for our plumbing. We charged the phones so we could use them for an understanding of where we were and some other info. Then, group of 8 (including me) met together in a small home we had made and decided we needed to start repopulating the world (as we had assumed no one else was alive.) We assigned each other a partner to have sex with. This was super awkward for me and no one else for some reason. We’re all teens and having that responsibility is strange to me. I’m also a virgin, sooo... So anyway, I’m assigned an attractive dude and I think ‘ok ok. I can do this. Maybe this won’t be so bad’. He instructs me to spread my legs and he’ll do the rest. But he didn’t. To be 100% honest, I had no idea what he was doing in the dream. He just- didn’t do anything. So I leave and then one of the phones we had gets a message. We don’t know who it is, but they’re calling for help.
“Please help me. I should be northwest of you. I’m in a McDonalds.”
So we’re all trying to figure out which way North, South, East, and west is, but we decide to guess. A friend and I get in a canoe on one side of the beach and start going northwest. I find a pretty big island. We get onto the island and walk around for a little bit. We find a McDonalds and walk in. Right at the door stands an adult standing up very straight, arms at her sides. Her body is angled toward the corner. She only looks at us with her eyes. We ask her if she’s okay and she says yes. We ask her if she would like to come back to our island and she says “no, I’m good.” We’re confused but we leave anyway. We actually see some more teens and watch them for a moment. More people from our island show up. We approach the other teens and talk to them. We ask them if they’d like to come to our island and they say no. They tell us to leave because “outsiders get killed.” We all rush to leave. At least we found out we weren’t the last people in the world.
When we get back to our island we go back to normal business. I’m walking on the beach. Someone is on the edge of the beach fishing. He starts pulling up things from before the explosions began. He even fished out a safe. (never found out what it was.) I started thinking about how we would teach younger generations about the world before the explosions since we didn’t even have textbooks or something. The guy fishes out a drenched text book that falls right in front of me. That’s where that dream ended.
