The possibilities for symbolism really expand when you take into account specific cartoons. It’s common for people who frequently watch cartoons, or used to watch them, to dream about them. Cartoons are stories, and dreams love to play off stories to create symbolism and talk about what’s going on in your life. For example, dreaming about a cartoon that features a hero can symbolize your heroic traits—or lack of them. See: Heroes, Movies

Cartoons often use archetypal stories and themes, easily used to create symbolism about the big events in your life and most important movements in your psyche.

I had a dream on Sunday night, where I had this peice of paper and I was about to put it in a basement of a house that I've never seen, the house had weird silhouettes in it. Then a poorly recolored character from a cartoon I never watched broke down the door and I ran away, I was chased by randos I don't remember and then it switched to a completely different dream where I was one of MY characters and I was riding on someone's back for some reason, and I had a fake plastic "metal" on. (for context, my character is a cat who has water magic) I got hit by a giant wave (irony??) And then I was chased again, this time one of the characters chasing me was a character I created called Comet (a bat dragon thing) and then I finally lost them and went back to my strange spirit basement and put the paper behind two big boxes. I never got to see what was on the paper.

Can someone help me interpret this one?

Hey guys, first time poster here and I want to hear what you have to say about this weird dream I had last night.

I can remember I was in an expedition in a forest with a group of people and somehow in the middle of it I passed out. I woke up in a cabin, very makeshift, kind of hippie and the whole group was staring at me. When I came to my senses I noticed there was a glass bottle with its open end stuck in my ear, like with the part where the liquid comes out was inside my ear.
Inside the bottle there was some herbs and this HUGE brown/dark wasp but it couldn't go inside my ear canal because the bottle had a little ball of cotton sealing it. It wasn't menacing or anything, it was just there.
So this nice, gentle old lady came to me with a cute smile, very gently pulled the bottle out but the cotton stayed in the entrance of my ear canal. I wasn't panicking or anything, if anything I was very calm and not feeling like I was in any danger.
So, then the old lady came back, pulled the cotton out of my ear and 2 or 3 dead wasps just fell out from inside my ear. The dead wasps where light brown (not like the darker brown live one in the bottle, but they looked the same regardless), as if they dried up. She never said a word, just smiled gently.
I kind of understood that while I was in the woods the wasps entered my ear and I passed out. Somehow this lady that lived in the forest knew how to get them out using the bottle, the live wasp and the herbs, without hurting me.
I said my thanks to her and went my way, but I made a point to myself and others to always put cotton balls in the ears to not let the wasps get inside you when walking on that forest.
I wasn't a nightmare or anything like that, felt completely calm and relaxed during all of it.
Waking up I felt just like I watched an old cartoon/show where they give you a life lesson in the end, you know?

So, Im curious to know what you guys think!

Interpreting a dream

Hi,

I keep having a bizarre and now recurring dream I'm hoping you can help with. The dream first started roughly 1-2 weeks after I lost my mum to cancer April last year and I've had it at least 3 times maybe 4 times. I'm unsure if that bears any relevance which is the reason I'm declaring it.

I don't remember much about what I dream before it occurs but I know the dream in question starts by someone in my family asking for a "French risk"? From that moment on the dream just changes entirely whereby some form of rock music plays (last night was more metal with Metallica - Enter Sandman), my entire family are present and in some sort of trance, whereby they act completely different to their normal selves, silly and hokey is the only way I can describe it. They act around not listening to various things I'm asking them, ignoring any requests to calm down and eventually leads to them pulling body parts off starting with their fingers and essentially attacking each other with them. There is no gore or obscene images or flesh and blood, they just detach and reattach themselves as though they are some sort of action figure. It's like being in a real life cartoon what to be honest at times can get quite disturbing for me.

I usually have some sort of control from a dream, however when this starts I cannot wake up without external assistance, even though I consciously think it until a large sound wakes me which generally is my alarm or the wife 😂😂. I'm not sure if it all is supposed to mean something, or if it's purely my subconscious mind just replaying a random series of events that I'm just other thinking it and wanting it to mean something from the timeframe it started.

I hope someone can give me some answers. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I should add by the whole family within the dream I'm talking about a sister and her partner, another sister with a husband and two kids aged 10 and 5, and my brother who is single. There is no extended family. Also in my younger days I did like rock/metal music, however I have now mellowed out to soft rock and 80s if this also bears any relevance at all in interpretation.

Dreamed of a colorful wormhole with a epic violin symphony playing that led me to this…..

In the beginning of it, I was staring at a cartoon picture of two bears. As I stared into it for a moment my vision went into the picture, then I had entered what looked like a wormhole of color full red, blue, some green and purple. As I was going through it I began to hear the most epic symphony’s ever. While going through it as I seemed to get to the end the colors began to turn black and white. At the same time the symphony became ominous and dark. I told myself don’t go any further tot turn myself around as I thought that I began goin in reverse and the colors started to begin again. When I got to the exit or where I began, I heard this voice sounded full of static like a poor connection but I heard it say “Take the power, Your are the power, Remember your power. “ Then it’s like I exploded into the sky, and I was flying, I recall feeling the wet cool air blowing on my face. I was full of joy. Next thing I know I’m falling down but not to the ground. As I fell it’s as if I was falling through different timelines I may have been alive in. They passed before me like a sped up camera watching leaves as they start to change through summer to fall. Once the flashing stopped I came too laying there with my entire body vibrating. Has this happened to you?

I just had a transcendent experience through a dream.

I'll just write down the transcendent experience, not the entire dream since it was very long.

In my dream me, my family and an odd assortment of friends were in my grandfather's house. We hired an historian to track down the family history and came out with an extraordinary discovery. We discovered that the documents that the historian gathered worked as some sort of talisman to summon a series of entities, ghosts if you will.

The last ghost was the one who caused/showed me the transcendent experience. It was so vivid that I'm still shaking with what he showed me.

I have a deaf nephew, and this ghost was a futuristic version of him. My nephew's name is Vincent, and this ghost said he was Vincent II, he looked very similar to my real nephew but much older, maybe 5 or 6 years older. He said something like he wanted to reassure my faith in the future.

When these ghosts manifested, they selected some people of the group and call them to a room where they show or tell us something.

Vincent II called me and my cousin. He was wearing a pair of goggles, and when he stood in front of me he took them off and said "hello, Christian" in the same way my nephew greets me.

Once in the room he said that he could show us something of what is to come. But we have to decide whether we go or not. My cousin said no, because he knew that the otherworldly travel sometimes takes several days and he was afraid of how long it might take. I said that I had to go, because I will never have that opportunity again.

We got up on his ship and Vincent II told me to look to a round screen, that I thought it was a window at first. And I could see some semi transparent spheres, Vincent II told me that those were all the possible futures or realities. Long story short, they were other times and other universes. He said he will show me a couple things from them. The first thing was a place, my family ranch, but looked different, there were other houses and the road had been paved. The transcendent part was the details and vividness of it all, it almost seemed like I was seeing something real. The smell, the touch, the colors of everything was so overwhelming and so real. I know it's crazy but seemed like a real glimpse into other reality or the future.

The other thing he showed me was a trailer of a streaming service, I'm not going to say from what company, but the service name was "HUGE". I saw a lot of known cartoons and series and some that I don't know. And again the vividness of it all was incredible, I still can clearly remember the voice of the narrator, the shows I knew and those that I didn't know.

When the trailer finished, Vincent II told me that I was dreaming and that he decided to show me all those things in my dream because I would be more receptive. He put me back in my grandfather's house and said that when he leaves, I'd wake up. And he waved me goodbye and I woke up.

I'm still a bit shaky. I have never had a dream like this before. I mean in my entire life.

Thank you for those who took the time to read. I want to write all the details of what I saw before I forget.

I'll just write down the transcendent experience, not the entire dream since it was very long.
