What are possible meanings for dreams of fingers?
The symbolism of body parts featured in dreams often relates to their function or use. Start there and consider the possibilities for symbolism.
To begin with, fingers are used to point, and if you “point the finger” it means you accuse or assign blame. Pointing a finger can mean pointing out and drawing attention to something.
You use your finger to point the way and give direction, which in another sense can mean personal direction, and knowing the way to reach a goal. It’s that way!
Fingers grasp. “Grasp” can mean “grasp the idea.” It means you “get it,” you understand.
Grasping can be an expression of care. Dreaming about holding someone or something in your grasp can symbolize your emotional hold, and holding on by a finger means the grasp is tenuous. See: Embracing
Fingers are used to type, an act associated with communication, and the index finger in particular is used to click a computer mouse and swipe a touchscreen, activities associated with communication, doing tasks, and gaining or giving information. For an example dream, see: Facebook.
The middle finger is used to “give the finger.” To give the finger in a dream can be a perfect expression of feelings. It can mean, “I don’t give a fuck.” A character giving you the finger can express how you feel about yourself. After all, the character is likely to symbolize yourself.
The ring finger is specifically for wearing a wedding or engagement ring, and from there a dream can connect with a variety of ideas related to finding a mate, making a commitment, or engaging with a subject or task. Dreaming about a missing wedding band, despite the fact that you’re not actually married, can symbolize missing that piece of the puzzle you want in your life: a mate, or something to pour your love and dedication into. Or it can refer to a commitment that’s avoided, broken, or unfulfilled.
Fingers chopped off or injured can indicate “losing your grip,” meaning losing control of a situation or yourself.
It can express anxiety about performing a task or taking a test.
It can indicate hiding guilt or culpability because fingerprints are used to identify culprits in crimes. See: Fingerprints
It can symbolize wanting to hide involvement in something. The same idea is expressed in the image of dirty fingers. It can mean you are involved in something “dirty,” perhaps some sort of intrigue. A plan backfires, or your character is defamed.
Cutting off a finger can mean a task seems impossible. A broken finger can mean a task or responsibility is breaking you. It can symbolize a sacrifice. See: Amputation, Breaking
Fingers can symbolize children, because children can be thought of as outgrowths of your life in the way that fingers grow from hands, and people sometimes count on their fingers the number of children and grandchildren they have. Sacrificing a finger can symbolize that a child is being sacrificed in the figurative sense. For example, the demands of your job require you to spend long hours away from home, and in a sense you are sacrificing your child for your job. For a great example dream, see: Cancer.
Similarly, cutting off your ring finger can mean you are sacrificing your marriage or the idea of marriage.
Fingertips, which leave fingerprints, can symbolize “tip,” meaning a clue or hint. Fingerprints are clues used to solve crimes. If a dream draws attention to a fingertip, it can mean “a clue.” This use of the symbolism is more likely if the index finger is upraised, drawing attention to itself.
Another possibility is that you’re being shown something that upsets you, because tip can mean “to overturn,” and when applied personally it can mean you are upset, or your life has been overturned.
Fingers are used to touch and feel and can be used to symbolize sensitivity, especially personal sensitivity. For example, dreaming about pressing your fingers onto a hot frying pan and feeling no pain can symbolize being impervious to emotion or unable to relate to people emotionally.
On the other hand, feeling pain through the fingers can mean you are sensitive, are affected by emotion, and are able to relate emotionally. Bad pain can be a way of saying you are too sensitive. The same meaning can be expressed by dream imagery of someone else’s getting fingers cut off and your feeling the pain.
The symbolism of fingers injured or falling off takes on a new dimension for people who use them for specialized skills, such as playing piano or performing surgery. In which case, injury to fingers can symbolize decline in skill or fears related to one’s occupation.
Fingers can have sexual symbolism. They are used to touch, and “fingering” means inserting a finger or fingers into the vagina or anus or rubbing the clitoris. A pointed finger is a phallic symbol, while a limp finger is associated with erectile dysfunction. Dreams with this theme are likely to have other sexual references.
After all that, you have personal associations to consider, too, including all of your experiences with your fingers. If you’ve ever broken a finger, for instance, a dream can use that experience to create symbolism. For instance, you broke a finger in a car accident and forever after associate that finger with freak luck—the accident could have been a lot worse—or sudden trauma.

So the other night I had this weird dream where I had an immense pain in my three fingers (left hand) my index, ring and third fingers all hurt a lot in the tips. So I started pulling on them to try and crack them- like I usually do when I getfingersr pains in real life and it started hurting more until The tips of mfingerser literally came off. You could see the bone and everything, at first this kinda scared me but then I started worrying about how I cant play claw or hold the playstation controller the same ever again without fingersger tips (even started strategizing on how to get them-fingersnger tips- in ice and to the hospital in time, but gave up for some reason and kept trying to hold the controller but it didn’t feel the same).

What exactly does this dream mean?
It was a room. Empty. Black, bit with white lines. As if you colored the lineart of the walls white. There were no lights but there was a faint glow, just enough for me to clearly see. There was...something in the corner of the room. Crying, muttering to itself, drawing on the walls with what I thought was a red marker. But as I inched closer, I realized its fingertips were cut off. And it was drawing with its blood. The blood was bright, not like normal blood. It was like, neon red. Very strange.
I don't exactly remember what it was drawing but it was drawing the same symbol over and over again. It was whimpering to itself. My brain automatically went "Help it, it's hurt" So I put a hand on its shoulder. It didn't even jump or get startled. It just stopped everything. It lowered its hand from the wall and slowly turned its head to face me. It had strange features. It was tall, skinny. But it still had like, basic human anatomy. It had a nose, lips, a chest, muscle definition (of whatever muscle it had) It was just a completely black skinny human, but with crazy eyes that were completely white. And they were...scribbly. Like if you took a white pen and angrily scribbled a circle on black paper.
It stared at me for a second, before saying in a raspy, pained voice. " You're like my art in a lot of ways." It moved closer to me. I smiled slightly, " How so?" Its hand curled around my neck, but not choking me, as it leaned into my ear and whispered, " You were created. You have blood. And..." It leaned in with its hands still around my neck, its lips almost brushing against mine, " I can rip you up whenever I wish."
With that last word, it dug its fingers into my neck. Literally. Its fingers went through my neck, piercing the flesh. I choked a little bit. Then like a movie, it cut to a different scene. Back to it drawing on the walls. Then it cut again to it curled into a ball, sobbing, whimpering, muttering. Then I woke up with the horniness of a thousand 13-year-old boys. Which was hella confusing. So like, what the fuck?

My dead friend told me what happens when you die in a dream
My freshman year of college I had a dream that my friend who had died in a car accident earlier that year approached me at night, I was in a dark house, and there were people around him moving in studders. He looked at me through a stained yellow window, and I asked him "
what happens when we die?" and he told me, "whatever you believe." After that dream I had another where an aztec man broke through my childhood room glass window and started shedding blue nails from his fingers, until he was just a pile of nails. Like the information my friend gave me was sacred or something.
Cool concept though. If you believe in heaven, you'll go to your brain's idea of heaven. Reincarnation, you'll live the life of some other animal/person. Hell, you'll live in your brain's idea of hell. Nothing, you'll live nothing. Maybe there is something to that, with the chemicals released in your brain when you die, and the few weeks it takes for that electrical activity to completely dissipate in your brain after dying. Maybe when we die, we're at least alloted a brief respite living in whatever colorful fantasy we imagined we might pass on to when we were living, before the electricity shuts off like a light switch and we do too. That dream always stuck with me.

Dream about a man touching my forehead with his thumb and speaking in tongues/some weird language
Im not religious but this scared the shit out of me, even though it was a “good” dream.
In my dream I had a conversation with an old man who looked poor, maybe homeless. I cant remember the details of the conversation but I know that I was being kind to him and it was a pleasant conversation. He seemed like a normal person at first, but when I wished him a good day he thanked me for being so nice, walked extremely close to me in silence with an angelic smile on his face and positioned my head back. He pressed his thumb against my forehead with some pressure, spoke in some language id never heard before and a bright light jolted me awake to my room, where everything looked as it usually does. I had a strange feeling that I had been blessed and now Im honestly freaked the fuck out by it.
