What are possible meanings for dreams of psychologists?
A primary use of the symbolism of a psychologist or psychiatrist in a dream relates to needing help working things out in your mind and heart. Something’s out of whack and you know it, so you go searching inside yourself for how to fix it. You need help, need to talk with someone who knows.
In simplest terms, a psychologist is someone who understands the psyche, and whether you know it or not you already know everything going on in there. The psyche is a self-regulating and balancing system, and dreams are its chief spokesperson. What better way of providing information about the psyche than through a psychologist-character or variation like a psychology teacher or even a friend or relative with a well-balanced psyche? See: Psyches
You could think of a psychologist as your inner psychologist. The role of psychologist can be played by other parts of the psyche, such as your unconscious mind or the Magician archetype. In which case, the image of a psychologist or therapist is a mask, your dream’s attempt to create a story that helps you help yourself.
The things that drive you to see a professional psychologist are usually long-term; they don’t just pop up overnight. Such as your relationship with your family, bad habits and patterns, experiences of early childhood, trauma, abuse, and perceptions of yourself created by experience.
But if you take a personal blow that knocks you out of balance, you can dream about a psychologist to help get back on track. For example, your spouse leaves you, or you lose your job, and suddenly you’re in turmoil, and dream about seeing a psychologist and explaining the situation. It’s a pretty straightforward representation. Basically, you’re talking things through with yourself.
You don’t have to have a problem to see a psychologist—especially your dream psychologist. That character can be used to address any aspect, function, or development of your psyche. Your inner psychologist is there to help you understand yourself better and develop yourself as a person, through what Carl Jung calls individuation.
A psychologist can symbolize someone in your life who helps you keep yourself together, listens to your problems, dreams, and desires, and provides advice and perspective. Or perhaps a psychologist in a dream expresses a wish for such a person to be part of your life.
If you’re seeing a psychologist or therapist, you’re likely to dream about it, and the possibilities for symbolism and meaning it raises are too numerous to address. Just keep in mind, the person is a character playing a role in your dream, not necessarily a reflection of the actual person.
As with all dream characters, your personal associations are the basis of your dream symbolism. While psychologists are generally seen as skilled professionals of the mind, some people view them as quacks and would rather have a root canal than be analyzed.
For other people, dreaming about a psychologist can connect with thoughts about choosing a profession that pays well. As with all symbolism, use your personal associations as well as common ones to decode what a psychologist means to you and the role the character plays in a story.

I had a dream where I went into a psychotic stage and I was being mentally tortured. Do you think this has a meaning?
So basically, in the dream, I was coming down from my room when I hallucinated my dead mom standing on the hall, then I saw gore images of her death (She originally died a painless death and it was the opposite here.), it kept on getting more gore and I started to cry, my vision was turning red and my dad was talking with psychiatrist who said I was going into a psychotic stage. When I woke up, I had cried in reality too, probably while dreaming.
P.S No, I did not watch any horror movie before this event, it was a peaceful day, actually a happy one, with my cousin.

I dreamt that my male ginger cat, who has been dead for 3 years, came back and gave birth to 3 black kittens, what could it mean?
I was in my parents' living room, except it was grey and foggy, and almost comforting to be in. I heard a voice saying "Red (my cat) is about to have kittens!"
So I went to the sofa, where, lo and behold, I had missed the birth, and instead I saw Red purring and cleaning the kittens.
There were 3 kittens, all black. I remember naming them Knife, Fork, and Spoon. The kittens were very heavy to hold, and incredibly fat. And they were hairless.
The rest of the dream was just me helping Red out with his kittens. It was really strange, because it felt so real, I could feel everything I touched, I could feel Red's fur, I could feel the warmth from the kittens when I held them.
When I woke up, I had completely forgotten that Red has been dead for 3 years, and I laid awake for 30 minutes just thinking about where Red could be, until it hit me.
I just found it really odd, because the feeling of being in the living room in my dream was a feeling I've never felt before, and it was a place I didn't want to leave.
Last year, I had a similar dream about another dead cat, Mumi, who died a few months before Red did. In that dream, I was back at my parents' house, and met Mumi. Mumi was friendly at first, but suddenly consumed all light inside the house, and became a demonic shadow figure, who started chasing me. I have a feeling it was the exact same house, as the one where Red had the kittens. I know it was my parents' house, but it was like the same version of the house. And when I looked outside the living room and into the hallway, I could feel a presence.
What could this possibly mean? Should I contact a psychic or a psychiatrist?

Psychiatrist makes a sketch
Now this nightmare began in a meeting with a psychiatrist. It was a long discussion about things on my mind and how my life has been going. Unaware to me, the psychiatrist had been drawing on his clipboard this whole time. After explaining what seemed to be the same to things over and over again.
After normal discussion and talk therapy, the psychiatrist had a look in his eye, almost as if they had glossed over and he began to look very serious. He started asking me questions that didn’t make much sense. Almost pointing the finger at me for all things going wrong in my life. After these questions, he told me he was going to show me a picture and to honestly view it and give my first thoughts. When he turned over his notepad, I saw a figure which appeared to be a woman, with hallowed out black eyes, and a screaming grin that scares me to even think about. Half of the page being white, the other half being scribbled in black ink. In the dream I immediately screamed, rolled onto the floor and balled up crying and screaming for help. I don’t think I have ever felt this kind of fear in my entire life, let alone a dream.
Does anyone have thoughts or insight on this?

A pink-orange sunset through the mist, ancient stone ... and the most powerful sense of sadness and pain...
Don't know where else to post this ... I had a dream last night that has bothered me all day and I just want to share it ...
... there is an ancient stone temple, it's a huge place the size of a stately home and the land that comes with it. The stone is old and crumbling in places, this place has been abandoned for decades, maybe centuries.
A thick mist hangs over the area, stained shades of pink and orange by a low sun. It is raining very lightly. I am overwhelmed by a sense of painful loss and regret, something terrible happened here. I am slumped against a wall and I cannot stop crying, that terrible deep pain and hurt just keeps going round in circles my soul like a hurricane, and I can't get rid of it. Through the fog I hear music that sounds a little bit like 'Brothers In Arms' by Dire Straits ... except this version is composed from a mixture of kenny G-esque saxaphone and soft rock guitar.
Then I wake up, back in my room as usual. But I can't shake that feeling of emotional pain, I am a grown-ass man and I am sitting up in my bed sobbing, trying not to wake my housemates at stupid o'clock a.m. Took me 20 minutes before I could lie back down again.
side-notes: Yes, my life is not what it could be, and yes there are aspects of my life I am not exactly content with, but I do not feel I am in any particular depression or sadness in life, and I do not feel anything is overbearingly 'wrong' in my life at the moment.
Someone just tell me something, anything. Do I need to go see a psychiatrist, or is my brain just fucking with me? I never used to be so moved by a dream, especially not one that made so little sense.
Thank you for your patience.

The child countiniued spraying me with the bottle and screaming at me and I was trying to run away from him, as I was afraid that I was going to get some diesease from him since he was a street child.
I woke up feeling scared and weirded out. The dream felt very realistic.
