What are possible meanings for dreams of roots?

Roots in dream can symbolize your roots as a person, indicating a deep layer of what makes you the person you are. For example, your personal roots are your values, principles, upbringing, and faith.

Roots are associated with family or heredity—“family roots.” Many dreams about trees and roots connect in some way with your family or the idea of family. See: Trees

Relationships can be said to have “deep roots.” Something deeply rooted in your being is a permanent part of you.

Roots can refer to the roots of a situation or event, the roots of a problem.

Putting down roots means establishing yourself in the physical world, such as when you buy a home or enmesh in a social circle. You decide that this is the ground where you’re going to stay for an extended period. See: Home

“Uprooted” is a way of saying “upended.” Your life is upended. For example, a young man dreams about a massive tree in the front yard of his family home being uprooted in a powerful storm. The roots of the tree are exposed, and in the dream he notices that detail in particular. The imagery symbolizes the uprooting of his family, who have all gone their separate ways. The family has lost the cohesion it once had.

I had a dream about (what i assume) was the rapture

I’m not sure how to interpret it as i’m not a religious person and have no idea whats set to happen during the christian interpretation of the return of god/christ, nobody talks about the dream itself on google. I’m not an obsessive “the end is neigh” person I never even consider the end of everything I just go about my business grateful for the time I have here, anyways to the recollection.

I remember waking up and knowing it had been snowing outside for days, it was day time but everything outside was two tones darker and gray, like there was a blanket over the sky? and I knew that the sun hadn’t been out in awhile and it was freezing out (in the negatives) and there was a lot of soot on the ground.

I remember walking outside and I subconsciously knew something was coming, and sure enough more than a few golden “ships” that looked like complex towers descended from beneath the blanket, they were massive and a few very unusual orbs that looked like a guro ball were in a formation around the towers, it looked like they had massive horns on each of them and a sound like a battle horn, it was so loyd it almost didn’t register in the dream and it shook the earth itself, soot flew up from the ground. despite the fact that it was horrifying to witness I felt fine.

I don’t know what happened directly afterwords but I remember that I was enveloped in a golden “aura” and was able to move around freely while everyone around me was frozen, I tried searching for someone I cared about but everyone’s identity was obscured, they looked like multicolored shadows more than people. Next thing I remember I was on a black ship that had prongs on the top of it and was narrow and long, flying up to the atmosphere and despite the fact there were no windows I could see outside of the ship, ( sorry for the poor explanation the ships were far too complex to explain in words) something flew out from underneath and impacted the earth instantly, hit the ground and In seconds the whole world was set ablaze and somehow I knew it wouldn’t extinguish anytime soon.

I didn’t know where I was going but I understood what was happening, we ended up at this very odd structure in space that looked like red tree roots but was built in a four way intersection sort of way, the ships prongs hooked ip to the middle of the structure and all of a sudden we were traveling through an endless tunnel of golden rings, a word like “time” popped into my head and I knew then we were traveling through time somehow through this tunnel.

Not sure if this is accurate or if I just got abducted but if anyone has any insights that’d be awesome thanks for reading, my girlfriend just told me I got raptured when I told her about it and she speculated we were traveling to earth again but in a different point in time please let me know what you guys think

I know this one is significant because it woke me up and I remembered it and wrote it all down.

In short, I was out walking in the country in an area that felt familiar to me, and came upon a long drive with a "no trespassing" sign. In my dream I thought "oh it will be ok" (no idea why, as I doubt I would ignore it irl) and walked on the property. Came up to a very big, old tree with a lot of knotty above ground roots. Noticed the roots seemed to be "breathing" and suddenly realized it was a giant snake. Woke up immediately.

Vomiting up fetuses

Last night I dreamed I was at a gathering of people. There was a strange liquid in large bowls we were invited to drink. It was cloudy and white. I dipped my hand in and it was delicious and sweet, so I had more and more. I remember it was rumored to be made of some kind of root that was good for pregnancies. Then a person in charge began to talk about abortions. I realized I needed to vomit. My stomach was spasming painfully. There was a kitchen type sink already full of water and I had to vomit in it. I could feel a large chunk of something coming up my throat and when it came out it was a dead fetus. The sink water immediately went reddish and I couldn’t see the fetus. I went on to use the sink to vomit up nine more dead fetuses of varying size. Near the end I looked in the sink right after vomiting up the largest one and it bobbed back to the surface for a moment. Its face was contorted and I could see its skeleton through the reddish translucent skin.

Online interpretations aren’t helping much with this one. Does anyone have an idea?

Dream riiipe with symbolism. Having trouble deciphering. Seems important.

I had a dream that I was with my boyfriend and a random female character from a show. We were adventure hiking in Madagascar -- seemed we were in the jungle. We came up a steep rock drop and they geared up with ropes and harnesses to lower themselves down it. I was excited, thinking we'd be rock climbing (I like climbing) but when I realized we were just navigating down, I ignored safety and kind of recklessly leapt my way down. I remember doing dangerous balancing acts and the like, thinking "is this a good idea? Am I going to die?".

Then we entered this ancient temple. It was kind of buried in sand, I think, but we found an entrance. Inside there was this cool library that struck me as abandoned. Weird it struck me as abandoned as overall we were in some lost-to-time ancient structure. I remember the other two were wandering the library and this one, out of place book on a pedestal caught my eye. It looked pretty new age and I debated going up to it but instead looked past the library to find the inside of the structure. There were beautiful green, greek-style pillars and it seemed a massive room that went a long way down. I tried to draw the others attention to it, like, "screw the library!". The random woman character at that point was sat on a couch glued to her phone. I remember kind of losing it on her. "Do you see this shit?! This is no time to be absorbed in your stupid phone. There's a whole life to live out here!". Anyway, my boyfriend and I ended up leaving her there and continued on.

As we were exiting the temple out the other side, I presume, there was a desert scene. We came upon some fellow adventure hikers that looked marine-ish. We were all geared up, heavy packs and the like. I don't remember being perturbed by the rough conditions -- I like for things to be difficult. Once in the desert thought I could see, way up on this impossible looking kind of hill in the distance, that there was this huge madagascar-like tree that I was under the impression we were heading towards. Its roots were visible to me somehow, through this narrow kind of hill it stood atop of.

While in the desert we came across the marine-ish characters camping in the distance. They said something like, "this is what it's about. Watching you kids become good at hiking.".

We continued on until we came upon a glacial river. The landscape obviously changed accordingly. At this point I recalled, as my boyfriend tried to show me how to navigate over this thin ice without breaking it, that I'd had this dream before. The last time, I broke the ice and he got mad at me. This time, I guess I succeeded: I got over the thin ice and delved into icy water, but was blown downstream by the current. He had to come after me and catch me with his hand. This is around where the dream ended.

This seems utterly fucking packed with significant symbolism. ?????? Ideas very welcomed.

Very odd, vivid dream that terrified me.

So, a week ago I had a dream that really stuck with me for some reason. I woke up around 1 in the afternoon (I work nights), with my heart still racing from it and feeling extremely anxious. I’m just trying to make sense of it.

In the dream, I had traveled by boat to this woodland-covered island in the middle of the lake that my parents live on/where I grew up. This island exists in real life. It’s about a mile long and maybe 100 yards wide, covered in woods with some native wildlife like deer, grey foxes, armadillos, raccoons, etc. This island sits directly across the water from my parents house, we can see it easily from our backyard. I used to take my canoe over there and explore this island a lot as a teenager. Also noteworthy: This island was the site of a very small summer camp sometime in the 1950s. You can still see the crumbled remains of what were once the camp kitchen and bunks, very simple wooden structures with a few rusted cot frames, misc trash and an old kitchen stove remaining. This island also was once home to a small herd of goats put there to help maintain vegetation on the island, but all had disappeared by the 90s. People camp on it occasionally.

Moving on to the dream! It was broad daylight outside, sometime in early afternoon I think. I went, for reasons unknown, to the island by boat. I don’t recall what sort of boat I was in. I think my husband was with me, but that detail is murky. I walked through the woods to the middle of the island where the old camp used to be. The kitchen mess hall is still standing, a wooden structure about the size of a doublewide trailer with no doors attached to the entrances or glass in the windows.

I go inside. There is no electricity, but I can the interior fairly well from the daylight coming through the open doorways/windows. Inside, it is littered with trash and nylon camping tents/piles of bedding where people have been sleeping there on the dirty wooden floor. There are 2 darkened rooms off each end of the main room. There are also several groups of people milling about inside, talking and laughing like this was just their hangout spot. Maybe 8-12 people total. I am drawn to a tent in the center of the room. It is partially unzipped, so I peek inside. It is empty except for a black plastic trash bag,and lying beside the trash bag is the decomposing body of 1 of my 4 cats. I become instantly filled with indescribable terror and run towards the doorway to leave.

As I try to leave, a young couple enter the doorway as the male half proclaims “alright let’s go cheat!” while leading his laughing female companion towards one of the darkened side rooms. I look back into the main room and see a large but rather skinny pink pig rooting around in the trash strewn about. The whole atmosphere was like a “trap house”, an abandoned building where homeless addicts congregate to squat and use drugs.

In terror, I proclaim “how can you all just sit in here with this dead, rotting cat like it doesn’t exist???” I was especially terrified over the body of my dead cat. I couldn’t even walk near the tent he was in. I remember hoping the pig would just eat his body so it would be gone.

My husband and I are forced to spend the night here. We chose a spot in the building far away from my dead cat. Upon awakening the next day, we make a hasty getaway. Suddenly the doorway has a flimsy screen door on it. I look around the main room once more before we go. The people are gone, but the pig is still there, rooting around in the trash on the floor. I say to my husband “we should leave the door propped open so the pig can get out”. Then we leave.

In reality, my cat is healthy and fine. He’s an indoor-only cat and my baby.

Can someone interpret this wild AF dream for me??lol
