What are possible meanings for dreams of giving birth?
Childbirth can symbolize the beginning of something new, especially something new in your life or in yourself. In the image of giving birth, you see the emergence of new creativity, new opportunity, new spirituality, new personality traits, new personal qualities, or a new relationship. See: Babies
For example, a man dreams he’s in a hospital giving birth, and the doctor is an old friend and the father of the baby. Childbirth in the dream symbolizes the emergence of new qualities in himself, inspired by the old friend. That friend enjoys much success in his life because he’s hardworking and disciplined. The dreamer, wanting to be more successful, made himself become more hardworking and disciplined. The friend in the dream represents the qualities the man associates with him—that’s why the man is both the father and the doctor. The symbolism is especially obvious because a pregnant man is a huge discrepancy with reality. The immediate assumption is that giving birth in the dream is a metaphor.
Dreaming about giving birth to an animal can symbolize the emergence of that animal’s qualities in yourself, especially instinctual qualities such as protecting your young and mating. But consider possibilities for metaphors, too. For example, giving birth to a full-size bear can mean that something really big is working through you, such as a big idea or plan.
Giving birth to a kitten or puppy can symbolize the emergence of playfulness or innocence in yourself. See: Kittens, Puppies
Giving birth to a dead baby can symbolize the phrase “dead on arrival.” It can mean that something you started got halted, such as a creative project. See: Children
Dreaming about a premature birth can mean that you don’t feel ready for something. Such as when you are thrown into a situation prematurely, or more is expected than you can “deliver.” See: Miscarriages
For pregnant women, giving birth in a dream can connect with related thoughts and feelings such as anticipation of the big day and fears about what could go wrong. The dream is like a dress rehearsal. See: Pregnancy
In simplest terms, childbirth means “getting something out of you.” It could be something creative that you want to get out of you, but childbirth can also mean getting out thoughts, feelings or emotions. Oftentimes, you have a tremendous sense of relief after the birth. See: Caesarean sections

I had this dream about a woman who wanted to bring back her lover because he died saving the world from annihilation. So she sat inside a pool that was red like blood and began to "give birth" to body...
It was a really long dream, but I've written everything I remember about it in a notepad.
The world went through a metamorphosis or some sort? As if it was judgement day or something. Everyone was being pulled to the sky and their shoes fell off. A clumsy but intelligent man did something and put a stop to it, but he gave his life in the process.
A woman who loved him, was a very serious woman. Devastated by what had happened, and knowing no one will help her bring him back, she got to work in her laboratory. Her laboratory had many incomplete dolls everywhere.
She began to "give birth" to body parts. Literally. They weren't huge or anything, they were small like the parts of a baby doll. Numerous hands, legs and torsos were made, I think there was a head? She was trying to make her lover from scratch. But regardless before she finished giving birth, an asteroid crashed into her facility.
Out of which came a man and a woman, presumably a new Adam and eve, and they were happy to be on earth, planning to conquer it. They didn't notice the woman crept behind them and killed them.
It was a really long dream, but I've written everything I remember about it in a notepad.

I dreamt that my male ginger cat, who has been dead for 3 years, came back and gave birth to 3 black kittens, what could it mean?
I was in my parents' living room, except it was grey and foggy, and almost comforting to be in. I heard a voice saying "Red (my cat) is about to have kittens!"
So I went to the sofa, where, lo and behold, I had missed the birth, and instead I saw Red purring and cleaning the kittens.
There were 3 kittens, all black. I remember naming them Knife, Fork, and Spoon. The kittens were very heavy to hold, and incredibly fat. And they were hairless.
The rest of the dream was just me helping Red out with his kittens. It was really strange, because it felt so real, I could feel everything I touched, I could feel Red's fur, I could feel the warmth from the kittens when I held them.
When I woke up, I had completely forgotten that Red has been dead for 3 years, and I laid awake for 30 minutes just thinking about where Red could be, until it hit me.
I just found it really odd, because the feeling of being in the living room in my dream was a feeling I've never felt before, and it was a place I didn't want to leave.
Last year, I had a similar dream about another dead cat, Mumi, who died a few months before Red did. In that dream, I was back at my parents' house, and met Mumi. Mumi was friendly at first, but suddenly consumed all light inside the house, and became a demonic shadow figure, who started chasing me. I have a feeling it was the exact same house, as the one where Red had the kittens. I know it was my parents' house, but it was like the same version of the house. And when I looked outside the living room and into the hallway, I could feel a presence.
What could this possibly mean? Should I contact a psychic or a psychiatrist?
