What are possible meanings for dreams of intruders?
The symbolism of an intruder can be found in the root word, intrude. When you feel intruded on, you can dream about an intruder breaking into your home or barging into a private situation such as while you’re using the bathroom or taking a shower. Many situations in life can be symbolized this way.
For example, hosting a house guest can intrude on your regular routine. Or missionaries show up at your front door uninvited. Dreams turn such situations into symbolism.
Dreams use comparisons to create symbolism, so an intruder can compare with something that makes you unsettled or uncomfortable. For example, you can be unsettled by rumors at work that layoffs are coming. You can be uncomfortable with a person who is too forward or demanding. You can feel intruded on when someone asks you personal questions or pries into your private life, such as during a physical exam.
Unwanted thoughts and feelings, or something that interferes with your concentration, can be intrusive. Thoughts that keep you awake at night are intrusive. Bad memories can be intrusive.
An intruder can symbolize an unknown, repressed, or rejected part of yourself trying to get your attention. It wants to be consciously recognized and integrated into the personality. It’s like a family pet left out of the fun. Everyone is inside the house, warm and together, while the dog is outside in the cold. If the situation prolongs, what is the dog likely to do? Whimper, cry, bark, act out. When a part of yourself is left out, it will find a way of getting noticed and making its presence felt. To the ego, this is an intrusion because it is unwanted.

I know nothing of dream interpretation, but this feels important.
My background: ~20 yr old male college student studying high stress courses. Lately the stress has grown so much that I get tremors/shivers when I receive even just an email from my uni, so that could play a big part.
So, in this dream I “woke up” in my bed in the middle of the night. I get up and walk through the house to the kitchen. I go ahead and get a drink from the fridge. The lights are out so it’s dark, but I can make out the silhouette of an intruder. They grab a kitchen knife and begin to swing and thrust me. I try to protect my torso, but I end up getting cuts all over before I put some distance between me and my attacker.
Now to put this in perspective, because the dream started in my bed I thought this was all real, and it felt real too. The moment the dream separates from near reality is when some light shines on the attacker’s face and I see that it’s me, almost like a clone, but much more murderous and all around unsavory. Despite this weird occurrence the dream doesn’t become lucid, unfortunately.
During my escape, I make my way to the streets where I knock on my neighbor’s door. After they see my cuts they take me to the hospital for medical treatments, and the doctors keep me over night. While I’m in my hospital room, all my friends come visit me, but they “feel” different. Like they’re acting more caring or loving. The whole experience feels warm and cozy yet embarrassing and shameful. Then as the nurse brings in another visitor, my other self enters the hospital room, dressed the same way as in the kitchen with the knife.
(This is the point when I either actually woke up or just straight up lost memory of the rest.)
TLDR: My house got broken into by someone who looks exactly like me, who tried to murder me and then came back later to finish the job.
The whole thing seems like any other nightmare or weird dream, except I didn’t feel afraid and it felt too based in reality. Plus there’s the peculiar feeling that it really does mean something important. Despite the concerns associated with the dream, it felt nice to have something other than my classes on my mind.

Intruder during sex
I had a dream.... My husband was inserting his member inside me. As he was doing this, he was saying the most bizarre things such as I'm going to open the gates, now I'm going to introduce you to brother Marshall, now we're going up Green mountain. With every inch he had some bizarre description - highly unusual.
then, in the dream, I close my eyes for a moment and when I open them the bedroom light have been turned on. I said to him, why did you turn light on? He said I didn't and I replied then who did? I looked down at the foot of the bed and there was a man standing there, He looks surprised for just a second then he pulled out a handgun and began to shoot. At this point I woke up screaming and confused, it all seemed so real. Something else that struck me as odd, is this dream actually took place in our bedroom. Typically when I dream something like this it's in a previous home, sometimes even a childhood home. But this one took place in our current home.

I dreamt I was a Jedi in a zombie apocalypse
I vividly recall in my dream last night I fought off hoards of zombies with my telekinetic powers (I held my hand out at them, and they all fell back, helping me and my family get away). I suppose you could say I was more like Eleven from Stranger Things, but I like the idea of being a Jedi Knight better lol. However towards the end of the dream, in my home, some female invader came in and killed my dog. I tried to use the force to fight her, but she was somehow immune. Is there any way to translate this dream into something that makes sense? Or did my love of Star Wars just seep into my subconscious?

Having to shoot a mentally unstable home intruder
My nightmare started off with my father in law coming into the house saying he had to chase some weird guy off the property and I told him to show me through the window and when we looked he was no where to be seen. Im a concealed carrier so I slip my holster on and urge my father in law to follow me outside. We turned the corner and saw the mental guy slip into our back screen door to our porch. I sprint to the door and he has already slipped inside. My younger brother was in the house and I didnt know where the intruder had hid. I start room clearing the basement, make my way upstairs and i come up the stairs to see my brother playing his computer, I signal he needs to come to me as fast as possible. My brother is a little ignorant so he begins to say,”but why?” And im getting louder at him. The mentally ill man turns out of the bedroom door catty-corner to my brothers. I scream,”Devon get down!” I raised my handgun and shot 5 times. Hitting all shots in the mid section. The man falls to the ground and I get a closer look at his face and he has a gummy smile and tweaker eyes, and seriously messed up teeth. Hes gasping for air and staring at me, I let off one last shot to put him out. Now ive dealt with high stress situations before and death but this one made me wake up confuses and a little depressed. Anyone else have this kind of nightmare?

In my dream, people broke into my house to leave things behind, not steal
In my dream, I couldn’t lock any doors or windows. People kept in breaking into my home.. not to steal.. but to leave their own things inside. People were abandoning their pets too! In the dream, I was terrified, constantly crying and shaking because I couldn’t lock my door. I was very disturbed that I was having intruders, but I couldn’t speak or scream. I had to communicate with my mother who was there by writing things down.
The house we were in was not where I live in real life. I live in an apartment, but this was a yellow house with a white fence , it was very cute.
No one in the dream was harming me? But I was very afraid. And then I woke up like I was having a nightmare.
What could this mean?
