What are possible meanings for dreams of magic?

Magic in a dream can symbolize something that seems to happen on its own. It’s magic that clean clothes always appear in your drawer. No, actually, mom does your laundry but you never really see her in action. Or you think you really flubbed something, such as a test or a meeting with a dating prospect, and magically everything turns out all right.

Magic can symbolize anything that seems to happen on its own, or that you make happen with your creative imagination or force of will.

Looking to find other Lucid Dreamers!

Hey everyone!

I'm fairly new to having an actual account on Reddit, but I've used it for years to search for answers or peruse.

**Basically,** I'm just posting in here to see if anyone else is an experienced lucid dreamer, and wants to help motivate each other to take those skills to the next level.

I'm willing to help someone unlock their lucid dreaming abilities as well, if you're not very experienced, but it can sometimes take weeks if you're not accustomed to an "otherworldly" way of thinking. Anyone who can't suspend their disbelief in supernatural abilities will not be of much use in this thread, I'm afraid.

\-------------------------------------------------------

For a bit of a background in my own experience, I first became lucid in a dream back in 2014, when I was 17 years old. I spent that entire summer sleeping in to get more hours logged in dreamtime. I have dozens of full recounts of spiritual encounters, epic battles, and strange worlds from that summer alone.

This won't seem all that uncommon for someone who has studied LD for quite a while.

My most accomplished feats so far have been meeting a personal spirit guide and one of my previous incarnations, meditating in a dream consciously, and a connection with Mother Earth and Father Time.

I'm more of a fan of DILD (dream-induced) myself, but WILD does work for me as well.

\-------------------------------------------------------

**Who I'm looking for is someone who wants to attempt to connect in the dream world, practice daily, and eventually move into full astral-projections through the dream state. (My time zone is EST, as that may be of significance for training.)**

I have been out of active practice for a bit, with the current world situation, but it's time I refocus that energy into dreaming again.

I'm completely open to any other experiments or assertions you'd like to test.

I'm a 24 year old male from Canada.

\-------------------------------------------------------

Ideally, would like to connect with fans of anime or sci-fi for similar shared experiences, should our training progress that far.

(Hunter x Hunter, Fairy Tail, My Hero Academia, Seven Deadly Sins, Naruto, Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Magic the Gathering, The Flash, Spiderman, Doctor Strange, are some of the most influential media for me.)

Also, feel free just to share any of your coolest dream experiences! Feel free to brag as much as you want :D

My former crush hugged me from behind

First of all, I had a crush on him for two years but that was a long time ago and because of my feelings I cut all sorts of contact with him.

I think I was in school and he was sitting a few tables away from me. I didn’t understand what the teacher was saying and asked him but he didn’t really reply because we had to write down what the teacher said really fast. I was really confused and couldn’t understand anything.

Then I looked up and felt him behind me, leaning over and looking down at my paper. He was really warm and soft and it felt so real. His upper body was really pressed against my back but he didn’t wrap his arms around me. My lower back was hurting me the whole time and it kinda took all the magic away.
But I honestly liked it and felt safe.

For everyone who thinks that I might confuse this with a former relationship:

I never have been in one and have never let a boy hug or even touch me that way. I have dreamt many times of him but it was always briefly, where we never really interacted with each other and just walked past each other.

It does feel weird, considering that we might not see each other ever again due to the pandemic and us living far away from each other.

It felt like a goodbye.

What do you guys think?

Yo, just woke up from a dream including a scene where I fingered and fucked a magic killer clown's neck vagina.

Felt kinda good tho lmao.

Currently writing this in my dream journal. Apart from that. Best dream I had because of the bird's-eye view of the whole place it took in. Atop of an extinct volcano with Gothic buildings, full of busy people and a school built on top of the crater. My house was the only thing haunted there really. I should probably stop watching anime tho because I'm pretty sure it was just anime girls walking in the city.

Dreaming of the Devil and Hell

Hello, atheist here so the heavy religious themes in this dream were very unusual to me but disturbing nonetheless. I'm posting for dream interpretation, not religious conversion.

My dream started in a strange post-apocalyptic world where the last humans lived in a tall building. Each level was for a specific rank of society, from one (worst) to seven (best). Social mobility was possible but hard and rare. Oh, and the lower ranks were harvested into some sort of sci-fi or magic brownies for the ranks above them. I was quite low on this pecking order but took part in a ceremony to decide who moved up and down for that year, being tortured after.

Then I woke up and went back to sleep. My dream returned to the seven-levelled weirdo world. I dropped my parents off to their work and witnessed someone threaten to shoot another. The Devil asked me to frame the victim so the shooter would be free to exact more evil.

He claimed my soul and tortured me in hell to get me to agree. My soul had been reincarnated many lifetimes and was a man (I'm a woman). The Devil threatened to torture me to the point of spiritual death each day, but he would go easier on me if I complied.

I needed to infect the victim with lycanthrophy for the devil to claim his soul, because he had been into the abyss of space and was driven mad by the forbidden secrets.

Oh, and the devil was pure darkness. A man with no festures, absent of light or colour.

Context: Atheist woman living in the UK, age 29.
