What are possible meanings for dreams of blizzards?

To decode the symbolism of a blizzard, begin by thinking of common associations and how those can be used to tell a story.

Blizzards make travel difficult, and travel in a dream can symbolize movement in your life. The blizzard is the obstacle in your path, or the heavy feelings that weigh you down.

Blizzards make seeing difficult, and sight in a dream can mean “seeing ahead in life” or vision for it. The blizzard can symbolize the difficulties that distract you or the insecurities that hold you back. It can symbolize difficulty seeing what’s happening in your inner life. See: Blindness

The heavy snow, bitter cold and howling wind of a blizzard are great ways of describing depression. The whitewashed, featureless landscape visually represents the feeling of depression, or sadness, or grief, or loneliness. See: Depression

For an example dream, see: Horse.

Hazards created by blizzards can symbolize hazards in life. You don’t see the pitfalls or cracks in the ice that await you.

A blizzard can signify a time of hardship or difficulty. Life is littered with obstacles. It’s a real drag.

A blizzard can mean “flurry of activity.” It can signify having too much to do and not enough time to do it. Or something major in your life is approaching for which preparations must be made. Before a blizzard, people hurry to prepare. Afterward, they dig out and repair damage. These associations can be used to create symbolism for digging out of a hole or cleaning up a mess. For example, putting your life back together after a bad breakup.

Strong winds whipping snow around is a picture of chaos and frantic activity. That picture can sum up your outer life or inner life, such as when your thoughts are chaotic or frantic. See: Tornados

On the other hand, a blizzard can signify a period of inactivity. Generally, people stay indoors during a blizzard. They’re “snowed in.” See: Winter

Horrible dream.

Just a few minutes ago I had what i would consider a nightmare.

So In this dream I was on date with this girl I like, the date took place at my place in my room. We were watching a movie together. Now it was going great until I went in for the kiss. When I went in for the kiss she shook her head as in no but I still went for it and man she got pissed. I got told the hell off which I then proceeded begging her to give me another chance. She proceeded to tell me no I’m a tweak, and was like I’m leaving. When she was leaving it was like a blizzard was going on outside so she had to stay. She took a shower, and I went ahead left a blanket on the couch for her. My brother and sister were in the dream fooling around to. She heard me messing with them telling em to go to bed which she laughs. She then proceeds think im cool again. I then go up to my room and then she proceeded to follow me up and lay on the floor. Then in morning we end up fighting and she leaves for good. I’m there thinking to myself “I messed it up man” wishing I could rewind it all. Then I woke up. There were so many mixed feelings happening at once in this dream such as “insecurity, anxiety, happy, jealousy, rage, happy”

This dream seemed so damn real i believed it happened for a brief moment. Now I never see the events of this dream happening in real life but it did shook me up a bit. If anyone is willing to help me interpret it thank you.

I don't even know.

This is fading fast, but I'm going to write down everything I remember.

The dream started as a courtroom drama with Elmo on stage left, sitting at the stand in a tuxedo, shown from the waist up, of course. After some irrelevant courtroom jargon, Elmo was sent home. There was an aerial shot of him trudging towards the screen on the sidewalk in a big city in a blizzard as he went home.

My dream self "turned off" the TV for a while and when I came back, it had segued into an episode of *Elmo's World*… except it was late and Elmo was the only one awake. He opened the shade to look for Mr. Noodle, but he wasn't in the window because he had long since gone to bed. Elmo went to bed too. For some reason, when he climbed into bed, he was wearing tap shoes, and he slept in them. The screen panned to a nearby chifforobe with two anthropomorphic dogs carved into the wood on both sides, also wearing tap shoes on their back paws.

It cut to the next day. This scene took place in a modern-looking kitchen with granite and a white windowed door leading outside. Elmo had a live-action boy over, and possibly Zoe as well. The reason they were over at his house was because Elmo was teaching two real, non-anthropomorphic dogs to tap dance and needed their help for whatever reason. The dogs did a routine in which they danced while periodically stopping to lift each individual tap shoe so Elmo and the disembodied voices of the kids in the audience could count them. When this happened, the shoes turned into dog bones. After the first shoe was counted, the screen just cut to Zoe watching the scene in bewilderment. There were four shoes in total on each of the dogs. But I think you knew that already.

It just so happened that Elmo was entering these dogs in a dog dancing contest. Later, Elmo found Zoe in a tent (why they were in a tent I have no clue), and she announced she was entering her dog has well. I recognized it immediately. It was my stepfather's cream-colored Morkie from his previous marriage. He just lay there with his head down in the corner of the tent, again clad in tap shoes, and just looked… depressed. Zoe commented that the dog was "making very good progress" or something along those lines. Now, I don't know if I was watching the show from the "inside" or from the TV, but I reached out, grabbed the dog, and hightailed it out of there. I was not going to have this poor dog mishandled by Muppets.

Also, there was a completely unrelated part of the dream where I drank Powerade in my living room out of a can that looked like a hairspray can.

This is fading fast, but I'm going to write down everything I remember.

I kept my cool the entire time in this highly stressful situation. Could I request an interpretation?

I dreamt that a lazy godfornothing 60yo man thought someone was after him, so he hired me to protect him and gave me a sniper rifle. No idea how to fire it properly or reload it, I was still just me irl with a gun, here (0 gun experience), but I faked confidence so that he wouldn't feel like he was making a mistake.

Found a room in his house that had a decent enough view of the front and back yards, and there's a bunch of gaming memorabilia in there, mostly old old Blizzard stuff. This became the place where I waited.

And there's a massive opening in the back fence that was clearly damaged ages ago and he couldn't be bothered to fix it, so i yelled at him for his carelessness and demanded he patch it up so i could do my job.

Then a couple teenagers ran in through the front to pick from the washing line. I nearly shot them but they look innocent. From outside, rifle in hand, I yelled to the man inside the house about it because I wasn't sure if they lived here. He was too lazy to respond, but sure enough, i was right to trust my gut, one of them turned out to be his daughter.

And then later in the night, he and some buddies my age were all drinking in this nerd room of his while i sat cross legged on the bed, rifle in hand, staring through the door. His son asked me if I was a marine. Looking away, I just said "No, not me." Trying to make it look all mysterious and serious.

Right after, this woman from inside goes to the door, there's just a spray of blood and she drops dead. The old man stood there in stunned silence while I yelled asking what's happening.

Then this CRAZY looking blonde petite woman, clearly high on something, wobbly and everything, waltzes in with a handgun and shoots a couple more. She keeps swaying side to side, so I keep missing because she's only a few metres away so I can't use the rifle properly.
I ran out of ammo, threw the gun at the old man, demanding him to reload it while I pinned the doors shut, still keeping up the fake-confidence facade.

That's the last thing I remember.

Just had a weird one for the second time

Second time I've had this dream, though I remember it enough now to type it. Though I know I'm missing parts.

I was sleeping in a room completely covered in Windows with another girl (supposedly my sister). We end up going for a walk at night and walk past this house. We here rapping from knuckles on an empty window, but as we got closer we saw a shadow of a man appear and smile at us. I believe I later find out his name is Erikk?

We ask what happened and he says "Hello, hang on a sec." Repeats that for a few minutes and we get spooked and walk away. He tails us not too far behind.

We get back home and try to sleep and I get an uneasy "being watched" feeling in the room with all windows so I go to find my parents in the main room. My parents are awake, and the next thing I remember is it is furiously blizzarding and this guy we met is now walking up our steps trying to get in the front door as we watch from a window overlooking the small front steps, getting annihilated by the blizzard to the point his face rips off and he is a sentient skull with grey skin covering everything to give the appearance of a dead man walking.

We, for whatever reason, agree that he'd die (further?) and decide to let him inside. He again says "Hi, hold on a second" until saying that he needs to find a wall, because walls have windows, and windows have views. He needs a view of a girl specifically. I think he mentions to my dad that he knew my dad's sister (my dad in the dream is not my dad in real life). And he is looking for her.

At this point I'm pretty freaked out, no idea who this guy is or why he's inside and getting major scared vibes. My dad and I get him out of our house (I don't think forcefully) and lock the door and next thing I know again is I'm in the car with my dad.

We're driving and my dad gets a call from him and he says "Hold on a sec" my dad replies with "who are you?" and the guy YELLS "Hold on a sec!" And starts being very creepy in the not talking, not saying kind of way. My dad shouts out the name Erikk and hangs up. Unsure where that came from.

The whole time I got vibes like he wanted to kill this girl, and he literally materialized out of nowhere in the first encounter at the window and then I believe followed us not too far behind on our way home. I'm still pretty scared at how vivid and how controlled the dream was, seemed like everything happened for a purpose and without accident as that is how vivid and borderline lucid I was.

Anyone have any insights or ideas?

Hello, New here. I had a weird dream last night that I was walking through my city during a blizzard. It was quiet kinda calming? I was alone too. I felt cold but not freezing? not sure what this means?
