Subconscious and unconscious are often misunderstood or used interchangeably but technically they’re different. Subconscious means “below the threshold of conscious awareness.” The word on the tip of your tongue is subconscious. The thought or memory that’s just out of your reach is subconscious.

Unconscious means the unconscious mind, or just the unconscious. The unconscious mind is everything about the psyche that’s not conscious. Subconscious is a term. The unconscious is a structure of the psyche. See: Unconscious minds

The subconscious is the gray zone between conscious and unconscious. It’s more readily accessible to the conscious mind, whereas the unconscious is a deeper layer that’s largely inaccessible.

Did I subconsciously predict my dad's death?

My dad passed away in January of 2016. In November of 2015 I had a dream that I vividly remember and actually wrote about. I wrote about it before he passed, the day after the dream. And I don't know why.
For a little bit of context he was a single parent and raised me by himself. He was also very sick for my entire life, never drove throughout my life and was pretty much bed ridden in the end.

In this dream he drove me to a convenience store in a super nice, old, red car. I walked into the store with him and he turned around, walked out and drove away. I remember feeling extremely panicked. I kept trying to call him and it wouldn't go through. I tried to call everyone I knew and no one would come get me. I remember the sinking feeling of being so distressed and alone.

After he passed I told my grandma about this dream and she told me when he was in his 20s he drove a really nice red car like the one I had described and it was pretty much his baby. I think about this often and wonder if it was a sign. What do you think?

While in a nightmare, I yelled at my subconscious for giving me a nightmare then the nightmare stopped.

Bit of a weird one and not very long. Couldn't help but chuckle to myself while thinking "wtf?" when I woke up.

Fair warning, there is a little bit of gore described below.

Up until this point, although I don't remember much of the dream before and after the nightmare, it had been a very pleasant one. So, at some point in my dream I stumble into a room. In the room, is a large man, a large woman and a baby. The baby was on the floor in the corner of the room, crying. Wearing nothing but a nappy and looking a bit grungy from being on the floor. The woman was gagged and laying on her belly on the floor. She wasn't bound/tied up or anything. Just gagged and laying there. In fact, until this next part, she actually seemed to be quite comfortable. The man was behind her, singing something that sounded like a nursery rhyme. I don't remember the words he sung, just the tone and how creepy it came across. He bent down and grabbed something under the woman's shirt then yanked up a large piece of skin in his hands. The woman screamed and the man laughed maniacally as he held up the bloody patch of skin for me to see.

At this point, I got angry. Because up until I walked into this room, I'd been having a lovely, light hearted dream and then I walk into this scene which just seemed to have come completely out of nowhere. So I yelled; "Really? REALLY?? A slasher?! Are. You. Kidding me?! I freaking hate slashers! They're so BORING!!" And then I simply stormed out, the man and woman had both looked dumbfounded as I'd yelled. But after that weird little scene, my dream went straight back to being light hearted and pleasant.

Bit of a weird one and not very long. Couldn't help but chuckle to myself while thinking "wtf?" when I woke up.

Protagonist in my dream was a colour shifting scorpion

Hi

So, I already read upon dream interpretations. There's different meanings of scorpions and different meanings of the scorpions colour. My problem: the scorpions colour switched whilst I was trying to catch it in order to safe my family and also trying not to get stung myself.

Might anyone be so kind, trying to figure out what my subconscious self is telling me? Ask anything though, I'm an opened book.

It started yellowish, sitting on the wall. When it run towards me, it turned dark red. I ran away from it. fell downstairs whilst it was chasing me. Suddenly it was like black? But also had features I think in maroon? I was scared of it and it was quite aggressive towards me (running at me, waving its stingy thingy, trying to attack me) and I tried my best to get rid of it before it could get to my grandma.

Help.

I need help ASAP

Okay so you may off seen my other posts, and essentially I had a really vivid and emotionally intense dream about me being in love with this girl. Now it has come to my attention that you can only dream people you have met or seen IRL. So it does not have to be as in you know them personally, you could of just seen them within a crowd and your mind has taken mental note of there appearance without you subconsciously realising. So for me seeing this girl in my dream, does that almost certainly guarantee her excistance? Cos I could of seen her outside and not even noticed. Or is this just a theorey and not actually proven factual. If you know anything or any way to help please let me know I would appreciate it greatly.
